Can't beat the 4runner

I was looking for a used 4runner because I've been driving a 1997 Tacoma 6cyl/4x4 for nearly 300K miles. The 4runner being the same platform should be as reliable with more comfort and style. The '03 I purchase had 94K miles on it and I've added another 4 or so but I'm expecting to get at LEAST 200K on this truck. At nearly 100K miles it rides and drives like it is new. No rattles, no funny squeaks, no leaks. Used Toyotas are slightly more expensive than other makes, but if you keep searching you can find a great vehicle at a good price.

Awesome SUV

A beast in the snow and rides great on the street. I have yet to have any problems with it. And the resale value is twice of an explorer.

Nice used car

It's so nice that internet search engines are out there to help look for a new or used vehicle. Found a great (so far) used 4-runner on-line and went to test drive it and took it to my mechanic to have it looked at before I purchased it. A few things to have done (glad to know how much it would cost) but nothing too expensive. There was a lot of mileage on this vehicle but figured that the toyota name meant something about reliability. Have driven it across the country and it did a great job. Hope it keeps up the good work. Still getting under 19 mpg - only complaint.

4Runner

I needed to purchase an older auto that was dependable and easy to maintain. I also needed to have 4 wheel drive ability due to winter snow. Toyotas have a great reputation and are easy to work on. The seller of this 4Runner took good care of the vehicle. It should last me several years.

Most addictive truck/car I've owned

Bought this SUV about 3 months ago and after the first use I fell in love with it that I don't feel like driving the other vehicles that I have. The power and handling is unbelievable and I don't regret anything at all.

Very good car

Expensive, but worth it. There is nothing I don't seriously dislike. In this year the back window has a film that limits use of the sliding feature, but I still use it just fine. The engine HAULS if you get the V8, never needed any more power. I have hauled tons of weight and never had an issue. Really good audio system.

I really enjoy this vehicle

I bought a 2003 limited, v8, 4x4 a few months ago and am really impressed by it's solid ride, comfort and overall performance and handling. I am also getting close to 20 miles to the gallon with the v8 5 speed and I love the power. Enjoy.

Best SUV on the market

I've owned my 03 V8 Sport since 9/06 and have put about 35k on it. Absolutely love this SUV. No other midsize SUV holds a candle to the 4Runner. Top notch quality (zero issues to date, nothing more than oil changes), tows awesome (tow a 6500 trailer and a 3600 travel trailer and its prewired for a brake controller from the factory, very handy), very well built, drives great, lots of power, great brakes. I also have a 89 Toyota truck with 177k miles that has had very few issues in the 12 years I have had it. You just can't beat a Toyota 4Runner or mini truck, they run forever. I plan to have this 4Runner for a very long time to come, there is nothing on the market to this day still that compares to it. Only areas for improvement would be the weak stereo and power drivers seat which they have added now on newer 4Runners.

You can't go wrong with the Toyota 4Runner

I've had several toyotas and two 4Runners and they amaze me how they're like the enegergizer bunny. They just go and go w/o any kind of repairs. Truly fantastic engineering and quality has gone into this technology!
