An Excellent Vehicle

I purchased this vehicle because I needed something reliable at a good price. I was extremely surprised at how much I came to like this car. This car is so smooth and so quiet, it just amazes you. The fit and finish is second to none.

Toyota Camry: The best car you will ever hate

Toyota Camry has a lot going for it. Great gas mileage, nice styling, decent handling. But there are some gotchas that make it difficult to own. First there is the dreaded 'Requires Service' light that won't go out until you have the car services...and Toyota service is extremely expensive. Then there are the design gotchas. Three are noteworthy. The first is that there is a locking lug nut on each wheel, and if you are like me the lug nut key was missing when you had to change a tire. The Second is that the bumpers 'dimple' at the slightest touch, and my dealer (one of the biggest) has no body shop that can fix them. The third is that the headlights have 'blinders' on them, so they don't light corners well and light only the area immediately in front of the car. This car needs some serious attention to buyers concerns, which Toyota doesn't seem to have.

One of the best car I have ever owned

The Camry is a wonderful car. I have the XLE with navigation and it is every bit as good as the more expensive Lexus. I have 21000 miles on it and the only problem so far has been a rattle from the dash which the dealer is fixing as we speak. The only other comment is that the original tires are not going to last more than 25000 miles although I have had them rotated every 5000 miles.

great look and price

I drive a 07 LE It was not the car I was looking for when I cruised the parking lot trying to get out of this upside down SUV. It caught my eye and pocketbook. It handles well, great on gas, has so much room, it has this stylish body, and I feel confident that it is going to be reliable everytime I step into it to go near or far. My teenage son loves to drive it ... and that says it all.

Last Camry

This was our 4th Camry and will probably be the last. The car would downshift multiple times on the highway, even on modest hills. In town, it would often feel like the car was braking immediately upon releasing the gas pedal. Could never figure out when it was going to do so. The dealer installed a couple of technical service bulletin upgrades, but the problems were never close to being solved. After 12K miles, traded the 2007 Camry for a 2008 Honda Accord and couldn't be happier.

great auto, got it with 14k miles 8 months old.

Wife loves the Camry and so do I. Our third Camry and seventh toyota and not a bad auto yet owned them since 1980 our first was a Tersel. It was just like having a 4 wheel drive auto in Wisconsin snow. We don't buy new autos, we get them at 20k miles around 1 or 2 years old.

Most Unbalanced Car I've Owned

The 2007 Toyota Camry Performance is a good car, but there is no ?performance? about it. I respect the Camry, it is an inexpensive, reliable, every day car. Since it was the performance version I held it to higher standards, and it was a big letdown. It has quite a bit of power for a car in its class, but no limited slip differential, so in a corner, all the power just burns up your inside tire. Toyota is not a luxury-sports brand, but they make the engine more than what the drive train can handle and the suspension more than the frame can handle. The engine is good, but having a front-wheel-drive car with no limited slip differential, and somewhat sporty suspension for a Toyota, but a cheap frame. The car doesn?t even have as many features as I would expect after decades of refinement, but it does have a low price, great reliability, and my grandpa doesn?t look so bad in it, so I will let him have it. I like the Camry, but not the performance. I think Toyota should stick to making cars without a performance badge, or make one that will live up to its name.

poor quality Camry V6 SE

nice ride and lots of power, but thats where it ends. too many problems, two trips to the dealer to fix leaking sunroof. A lot of problems related to cold weather. engine noise when cold, sounds like no oil getting to top of engine, transmission that does not always shift. noisy dash that squeeks and rattles. dealer had a service bullitin on the dash that they fixed. they claimed the engine and transmission was normal. It is not even close, they claim the noise is the oil pump. Also the paint on the inside of gas door, under the hood and trunk looks like one thin coat with no shine to it. I have never seen this on any other car. they do not want to admit that there are problems. I did not spend $30000 for a car that sounds like a tractor. Toyota has lost me as a customer forever as I am trading in for an Acura TL

Not bad, not great

The good. Nice loking. Nice soft ride. Drives nice on the highway. Reliable. Good resale value. The bad. Handling. 20mpg average city driving (no traffic). Cheap/poorly made interior. Transmission VERY jerky and weird in traffic.
