After test driving an XLE V6 here is my review: The car looks good straight on, but from the side has an odd shape that looks like a frog. The interior design is unoffensive but very boring. The stereo is not up to par. The handling was very "floaty', and didn't give me a sense of stability. The engine felt quick but the tranny slipped and grunted a few times. The car was not as fast as it felt. Also the salestaff were very pushy. I went to a Saturn dealership and checked out the new Aura and they were super helpfull plus the car looked better and rode better than the Camry. I think I will be buying that instead!

Camry Hybrid
Awesome vehicle. Never did I think I would be happy with a Hybrid. From a 1994 lexus LS400 to a 1998 740iL (Which I just traded in with 165,000) for a 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid. I love the ride, the style the handling as well as the fuel milage. This savings a lone will pay for the vehicle.

Already Recalled
On top of the strange look to this car and the funky interior design, the Camry has already had serious quality recalls. One invloved the failing of the transmission. I would recommend a different midsized sedan, such as the new Aura coming out, which looks beautiful.

Ugliest car I've seen. Poor build quality.
Not only is this car ugly faced, but there were some definite quality problems, like interior pieces falling off and a slippy auto transmission. I don't get why the media loves these cars so much.. they are over-rated.

Little annoyances
We traded in our 1995 Camry V6 with 162,000 miles on it, and wish we had not done so! Oh, the new Camry LE V6 that we bought is a fine car, but it feels somehow "cheaper" than the old one. The transmission is not as smooth as I would have wished, and seems to grab and slip in the mid-gear range. I hope the dealer can eventually fix that. But one of my main "nags" is the radio/AC console lighting, which is bright enough to distract, and impairs night vision. Even with the speedo/tach display turned way down, the center console lighting needs to be much dimmer. I'm hoping that this car is as reliable as "old faithful!"

Worth Searching For!!
I bought my Camry Hybrid about a month ago. It took a little searching, and a one-way flight to pick it up at a small dealership in East Texas, but considering the over-MSRP-mark-up of $3,000 at the Dallas dealers...it was worth it! The ride is smooth, driver's seat w/lunbar adjustment is very comfortable, and the Smart key is a great convenience. There is a bar graph on the navigation screen that tells you exactly how many MPG you are getting each minute...not to mention the dial (just to the left of the speedometer) that tells you, each second, exactly how you're doing (showing you just how much CONTROL YOU HAVE over your fuel consumption). The real treat is only filling-up the tank once or twice per month, instead of weekly. I am delighted with this car, it has exceeded my expectations and is a true pleasure to drive--no sacrifices here!

2007 Toyota Camry
Car handles poorly. The four cylinder engine is seriously underpowered. I truly hate it. It may be reliable but I will not experience it since my plan is to get rid of it as soon as I can and buy something decent.

2007 Camry hybrid
With the price of gas going higher every day, my wife and I decided to purchase a hybrid. We had a Toyota some years ago and really liked it so we zeroed in on the Toyota. I'm 6'3" and was very uncomfortable in the Prius. I'm very comfortable in the Camry and the hybrid features are exactly as touted. My best highway mileage was 42 mpg and city has been about 38-40. We are both very pleased. Future models should have a bigger trunk. I highly recommend the hybrid Camry.

Camry hybrid.
We purchased a 2007 Camry Hybrid ~2 weeks ago. So far we are very pleased with our decesion. While our Camry Hybrid is not as the european luxury car that it replaced the ride is much better than we expected. What realy is exciting is that our new Camry hybrid is about twice as efficient as our old car (36 MPG in town and 43 MPG on the highway). Not bad considering gas is currently over $3 a gallion. While you do pay a premium to drive a Hybrid. However, since we qualify for the $2600 tax credit we expect that we will reach the break even point in about 2 to 3 years.
