Big Disappointment
I bought a new 2009 Camry LE I4 mid last year because of the perceived quality of Toyota cars. After bringing it home and spending more time to have a better look at the car, I found out that the quality is not acceptable. The rugs were lying loosely under the chair and the carpet seams were not even tacked or sewn. The drive shaft, engine mount, and lots of bolts were badly rusting and looked as if it was made of cheap steel and painted improperly. These parts may rust out in year. The interior plastic materials is too light colored and looks cheap. The I4 is far too underpowered for highway driving. Then came the recalls. I felt the car was not worth the 23K I spent on it. I planning to get rid of this car soonest and the replacement will never be a Toyota.

Very Quiet,Excellent Handling,A pleasure to drive
Six speed stick, very smooth shifting like silk, comfortable seating adjustments, great for long trips, clear crisp audio, little to no road noise, lots of trunk space extended with the tilt down rear seats, solid body construction, no noise, extra large middle door posts (peace of mind in case of side impact), neat clean engine compartment exceeds posted mpg, lots of storage space and made in USA, mostly.

Very nice car
We are really enjoying our Toyota, it is such a nice car to own and drive . The gas mileage is great, we get 33mpg and that is better than a lot of much smaller cars . We do love our new car .

Best car for the money..
Very dependable and gas milage is great. The factory tires that came on the car is the only weak item on the car. The tires wore out at 20000 miles. So I changed to bf goodrich and the ride is much much better. Stability and handling was greatly improved.Great car...

Going back to an American Car....
I was tired of losing my shirt when I traded american cars in, so I opted to try an import. Camry and Accords had good value, so I chose the Camry. The car rides and looks great, but a bit stiff of a ride as most imports give (still not as bad as a honda). I've got 60k miles on my 2007 and had no mechanical issues except with a few rattles, and the brakes. Rattles were fixed (bad strut) and brakes were fixed over the course of 3 visits. My biggest complaint is the powertrain. I have the 4cyl and the economy is great, but the performance is terrible, and almost dangerous at times. The transmision issues people have discussed online is very true. Mine hangs between gears, and takes forever to downshift when needed. Passing on the highway can only be accomplished by flooring the gas and having the engine lurch forward. I'm an experienced sane driver, and this engine and transmission makes me cringe. I will be trading this car much sooner than I would of liked to. I wanted to keep this car for 150k+ miles, but at 60K I'm ready to give it up and move on. Next car will be American as they are still the best powered and most comfortable cars on the road by far.

from an suv to a camry...
It was not a painless transition to say the least to go from my beloved Jeep Grand Cheroke to the Camry. I will say though I miss the style of the suv I have been enjoying the Camry very much.

Great Car to Own and Drive!!!
I bought the 2009 Camry SE 4-cylinder in May of 08 and absolutely love it. After owning several 6-cylinder cars, I was skeptical a 4 could still give the power I like. However, I have never once been disappointed with the power of the 4. I also love the SE's sport interior...leather can get way too hot in Texas and this looks much nicer than the traditional cloth interior. The car is comfortable, has large and easy to read displays (I love the blue color at night), looks amazing, is very roomy and offers a super smooth ride. Toyota makes an incredible product with great value! I highly recommend to anyone in the market for a sporty sedan.
