2016 Toyota Corolla consumer reviews

The car has had a shifting problem sense new. It ocationaly when down shifting feels like the wheels come to a complete stop. It jerks the car violently as if it just ran over a wood 4x4 in the road. The dealers won't do anything about it if it won't do it for them so you warranty is as good as worthless. I saw a service recommendation for this exact problem on 2017s so apparently Toyota is limiting how many cars they have to fix even though the 16s have the same problem because they have the same transmition.

Comfy to get to and from work in. Wanted something good on gas but still looked appealing inside and out and I'd be spending so much time in.

I am totally happy with my purchase of my Corolla and I wouldn’t trade it. The car is reliable and gas saver. I have driven my car out of state on several different occasions and was surprised of how much gas it took for my round trips. Love my Corolla.

What a reliable car , the have long life Doesn’t break quick, The maintenance is very cheap , And they have very good resale value, doesn’t matter how many miles it has but still has value.

Runs really great and super great on gas. I would highly recommend this vehicle. Small yet very very very very very very very very efficient vehicle.

It was nice for the price! We loved our little scoot for short hauls and commuting. Unparalleled gas mileage was definitely a must with current prices. A perfect first or small family car.

I had to retire my 1996 Camry unexpectedly, and decided to stick with Toyota for its reliability and affordability. I am very happy with my decision. I love the way it handles, love the sound system and Bluetooth capability. I have the S Plus trim, didn’t test drive any other trims, but will say i can feel a rough road much more than I did in my Camry. Could possibly be the 17” wheel that come on this trim giving less rubber between you and the road. Not sure, but not a deal breaker. Very comfortable interior with the back seat passenger space more than adequate. Nice large trunk also. Has nice pick up upon acceleration and offers an econo/sport driving option.

I just bought this car it's a pre owned lease that only has 15,000 miles on it. I can only speak to the last month. I recommend always seeing the Carfax and Auto reports for the history before buying a pre owned car. So far I absolutely love this car. It not only has sleek design inside and out it appears to handle both highway and back roads nicely. The gas mileage is amazing. There are a lot of features I love inside the car & I'm still learning most of them but it doesn't rattle & it's s nice tight drive. I had a Corolla before I bought this and it had 150,000 miles on it and drove like a charm. My husband has that car.

Very reliable. Low cost to own and has great gas mileage. I like the S model with the upgraded stereo and leather interior. It makes the car feel very modern with all the reliability you receive from a Toyota.
