Love the way it looks

Love my Highlander, and love the look of the front grill. Have four captain seats, and 3rd row bench seat and so simple and easy to fold down 3rd and 2nd row. Love little extras like privacy screens that pull up on 2nd row windows. Can open just window on back tailgate so can put groceries in back without lifting entire tailgate. So much legroom on passenger side I can put gym bag and backpack and still have room for my feet. Lots of USB, etc outlets throughout vehicle. Some minor things I don't like: #1. The fuel saving program shuts vehicle off whenever you stop at a stoplight unless you remember to push the disable button when you begin your trip; #2. Something like 18 cup holders, but only storage is small glove compartment, center console, and a tiny space by spare tire. No place to put umbrella, etc. #3. Don't know if it's because of leather seats, but they feel sort of hard on the "bottom" after a 10 hour trip! and last #4. I am only 5' tall and driver's seat does not go up high enough for me to see over front end of the big hood without sitting on pillow!

Love the safety features and comfort

We love our Highlander. Has great safety features. Auto speed cruise control, dynamic rear view camera, etc. Drives great good MPG. We got 26 on the way home. Lots of room.

Perfect size SUV with all the electronics.

My Limited model has just about everything including heated & ventilated leather seats, sun/moon roof, nav, Toyota Safety Sense system, tow package, running boards, roof rack cross bars, 19" wheels, etc.

Great value for a car load with technology

The car meets and exceeds our expectations. Beautiful design and extremely comfortable. The integrated technology is mind blowing. What a pleasure to drive. Definitely recommend Toyota to anyone thinking about purchasing a new car.

XLE Purchased 1 Week Ago

I have had a love affair with this car for years. We have a toddler, German Shepherd, and are planning for kid number two. Test drove the Edge Titanium, Murano Platinum, and Pilot XL as I couldn't bring myself to buy the V4 with turbo suv's that are taking over the market. I found that they didn't have the pickup I expected for such a large vehicle. The Pilot was more roomy than the Highlander, but drove and looked interior wise like my brother's Odyssey (minivan). The V6 Edge has plenty of pickup and go just handles like a truck and the Murano handled like a sports car with a really sharp interior but lacked cargo space. We ended up with the Highlander as it handles well (in-between a car and a truck), sharp interior and roomy. The optional 3rd row is handy, but wasn't necessary for us right away. The captain chairs are the way to go if you plan on using the 3rd row at all. Since children are in car seats until they are 26 now, having 2 kids in car seats and not having access to the 3rd row unless taking a car seat out to fold the seat forward or having someone crawl over the seat seemed silly. So far love it, but it's still new but hoping the Toyota reliability that they are known for holds true. Also, Highlander isn't really meant for towing, so if you want that option...can't recommend.

Good except for radio and GPS

Needed a car that could have three large car seats installed. This fit the bill. Not much room in the third row for kids legs when in car seats. GPS drives me crazy by always showing the car driving north even when I am on a south or east or west running road. Very confusing. Radio does not give a clear sound in most places and goes in and out of sound . I like the safety features except the back up camera which is fuzzy especially compared to the one in my daughter's Honda Odessey.

Great Vehicle

Wanted an AWD as I am in sales and from the lakeshore to Grand Rapids. I have never been stuck in this nor slid off any roadway. This gets me where I need to go with decent gas mileage and so far no repairs other than oil changes. Car has 32,000 on it currently.
