Good all around transport

The Tacoma double cab is a great all around vehicle. It affords you the ability to go out with friends, drive to work or out to play hard. The quality of the build is good and reliable. The interior has anice layout, but the double cab feature does lack room in the rear seating. Leg room is a rare commodity. The sliding rear window seems to be a bit useless, because it must be accessed by climbing into the rear seating. If there was a power control for the sliding rear window it might be more convient. An offer of leather or vinyl seating surface would be great for those of use with pets. The fabric seat covering is tough to clean any shed hair. Storage is good in under and behind the rear seats. One thing that would be nice is a way to cover the storage are when you have teh rear seat folded to prevent stored items from falling out of the storage area. Entune audio system, I question the design and quality. It does work, but seems large and bulky. It acts as a large distraction. Sometimes the old ways are the best, but that is a personal choice. The touch display does work well, but I am not sure you really need that if it is just the basic system. The rear backup camera is a great feature. I am still getting used to using it. It is a great tool for solos trailer hookup. The view point affords the view of the trailer hitch and the trailer tongue. I think it should be connected with distance sensors. Placement of the monitor in the rearview mirror is very awkward. Using all three mirros is fine, but mixing in the backup camera view in the mirror seems like a lot of input in one view. I find myself focusing on the camera view and not the mirror. The rearview mirror is a bit low in the windshield view for me. I am 5' 11" tall and I find teh rearview mirror blocking my view of a large portion of the forward view. When I am at an intersection I have to dip my head down to see cars coming to an intersection to my right. Also, to view the traffic signal, I have to slouch in the seat or crane my neck. The feel and fit of the steering wheel is good. The only thing I would like to see is a little more reach of the telescopic feature, maybe an extra 2 inches of extension. Overall I find the Tacoma to be a well built, solid feeling vehicle. It has a great ride. Very capable off-road abilities. I love the truck. I would recommend it to anyone.

My First Tacoma-Terrrific!!

Love this truck-it fits me and does everything I need it to do. Best of all my wife says she is comfortable in too! I need to mention that it fits in my garage for a n empty nesteer downsized garden home-that's important! I have the 4 door TRD w/Navigation and would have bought the limited model if one had been available. Best mid-sized truck on the market.

Color

Brown? Toyota doesn't make a brown Tacoma. Whoever provides vehicle info should have accurate vehicle info upon submission.

2013 Toyota Tacoma

The car is beautiful overall. It has good pick-up and handling. Rides smoothly over potholes and crummy roads. It has a tremendous number of little joints and valleys that need extra attention while cleaning, both inside and out. This car takes more time to wash and dry than any other I have owned. I was surprised to fin the doors do not automatically lock after the car is started. It did not come with a GPS system as I was led to believe. I do like the hands free phone application. Mileage has consistently averaged under 15mpg in the 4 weeks I have driven it. That is 60% highway and 40% street use. The most miles I have gotten out of a tank of premium fuel was 324. Then I put in 22 gallons of gas. Not what I expected from this 6 cylinder. It is a good looking car overall.

Best value for the money

Bought ours at dealer in Boerne,Tx. because of the great service dept. Would have put 200,000 miles on our last Toyota truck, but someone ran into it & totaled it out before we could. Plan to get 200,000 miles on this one. Have had good luck with Toyota products. Just keep serviced regulary like supposed too & they will last.

Beware Ignition cut off Noise -'13 Tacoma Sport

Just bought a 2013 Tacoma Sport SR5 4x4 Double Cab. Cons: poor stereo audio, poor bluetooth ring sounds like a hollow tin can. Worst: is pitiful noise after turning off the ignition, for 1-2 seconds sounds like a starter sound and bit of suction air relief. Like a errrkkk noise. Toyota should seriously consider investigating this for a Recall. Pros: very comfortable ride, styling, handling.

2013 Tacoma

I'm a first time truck owner. I have been driving a minivan for the past 7 years (and still do). This truck was bought for use as a back up vehicle for my family of 5 and a dog AND to be used for outdoor activities the children are into (skiing, hunting, off-roading). Driving the truck is different from a minivan, but I soon found out that this is a solid vehicle in terms of not only carrying people, but also hauling and being out on rough road conditions. On the whole (with only 4 weeks of ownership) I see the potential for a very versatile vehicle that can be used for a wide variety of purposes. A good value considering it's robustness. Gas milage is not bad for a truck.

Good Truck !

I purchased a 2013 Tacoma Limited. I like the styling and I get a lot of complements on the limited accents. They probably could have put more bells and whistles in the truck, but it is kind of a test vehicle since they do not know how the limited model will go over. No sunroof, No power seats...I can live without. The V6 is decent power.
