2016 Toyota Tacoma consumer reviews

I have had this Tacoma for two years. I like everything about it except the way the engine and transmission work together. the 6 speed transmission down shifts way too much. Sometimes on the highway it downshifts to 4th gear. They should have stayed with a 5 speed transmission. The build quality, look, feel, ride, smoothness on highway ride are all top notch.

Very pleased with the truck. I love it. Just don't need a truck anymore.Would recommend it to anyone.

This car exceeded my expectations. Not only does it look mean, but the TRD OFF ROAD performs mean too! Never have to worry about getting stuck in the snow or mud, the locking differential comes in handy just when you need it most. Interior looks great, really cool tech and features. The ONLY slight critique I can come up with is the seats aren't super comfortable, but I doubt that's high on your priority list if you're getting this truck and trim.

Typical Tacoma - Excellent!!! Toyota stepped up its game. Great styling and performance. Excellent hands-free Bluetooth options for audio and GPS. Bought another for my son and pending sale for my other son.

I cross-shopped Tacoma with the GM Canyon-Rado twins prior. Chose the Toyota based on the solid structure, better brakes(Toyota rear drums outperformed GM discs), purposeful looks, build quality, cool hickory leather interior, and add'l features(sunroof, push button start, composite bed w/outlet). Smooth powertrain gets me 25mpg highway and extra VVTi power kicks in over 3k rpm. Sorry CR, but this truck has been completely reliable; absolutely no reason to believe it won't deliver 200-300k miles. Only gripes? Would appreciate a little more rear seat space, missing power seats w/memory, and needs a power locking tailgate(fixed for '17). Overall, this rig is 100% worthy of the reputation and extraordinary resale value of its forbearers.

I love this truck. If you are a big person, I am 5'8", I would recommend a larger truck. The bed cover is great and waterproof. It comes in very handy. I have the limited. The fit and finish is great. I would love to see it with an 8 speed transmission. If you like a truck, but don't need a full size, this is a great choice. I haven't had a problem from day one.

It gives me piece of mind to have such a reliable vehicle in the driveway. The truck is smartly styled, powerful, and very comfortable (even with two car seats). Buy yours soon!

It keeps getting better and better. Best vehicle I've ever had. This is my fourth, I've had a 2000, 2006, 2012 and currently 2016. I can't wait for the next generation to come out.
