Great Car But That Darn Window Problem

It's a fantastic car for the price purchase, but I too am having problems with the window. It only occurs when I in park with the engine running and I roll down the window at fast-food drive-in; then I arrive at my destination; that is where the problem starts. I shut the engine off, then the windows do not close completely. It takes me several tries to close completely. Returned to the dealership and I was told they will have to contact VW to determine what the cause of the issue. They could not discover the problem on there own. Returning to the dealership next week, again.

I love my car!

This car has been my dream car since I was 5 and playing with the mini Beetle for Barbies! My dad got me a 99 Beetle for my graduation and 2 years later I decided to sell it because I thought I wanted something different. I was wrong! Good thing I waited for the new one to come out because, man - it is and upgrade. While I love the old style - I adore the new style! The inside is well equipped with iPod connectivity (wires can be purchased for other devices), Bluetooth connectivity, heated seats, digital dash - with many features that include: avg. mpg, avg. mph, time driven, temperature, temp of oil.. and much more! I love the leather! The windows are amazing, they create a perfect seal when the car is locked. With the lightest touch the windows crack so you can get into the car. The truck is nicer and easier to open with the keyless entry. The gas tank is neat, no lever in the car, just push and it's unlocked. The gas tank locks when the car is locked. The interior of the car is sharp! VW designers took the paint overhang on the door to a new level! It's on the dash and looks awesome. The mpg are great right now. The only reason I gave the car a 4/5 for the money portion was because it's a great car, but I disagree with the pricing, which I would with most cars. BUT I obviously love this car. Test drive it, you'll want to buy it on the spot :)

Fun Drive with Out of the box exterior styling

Trader in a BMW 328 coupe which I loved. For the money, This car gives me everything that the BMW delivered. The only thing I notice is the weight difference in acceleration and braking. No big deal in my book considering it is priced 10 grand less and doesn't look like every other car out there

Great styling. Not sure I understand the windows.

Love the styling. Love the interior. I am concerned about the power windows. The windows roll down a little when opening the door. I'm not sure if they always roll up correctly and so I'm worried about moisture inside of the car. I'm watching this. I didn't get the turbo, so the car doesn't have a lot of pick up. But I don't drive fast, so I'm not concerned about this. I really enjoy this car. I love the way it looks. I plan to keep it for a long time. I just hope the power windows work.

Take a very long test drive!

My 2012 Beetle is a blast to drive. It feels great in the curves and shoots out of them with a force. It is very comfortable and the arrangment inside makes sense and everything is handy for use. BIG PROBLEM - The drivers door automatic window does not function correctly. From day one it does not close all the way and takes many attempts to get it to go all the way up. The car has been rained in two times already because of this. I took it to the dealer, they quickly blamed the window tint and say VW would of put something out regarding this if there was a problem and to remove the tint to see if it goes away. I explained that it has malfunctioned since day one and there are numerous complaints around the internet. He again told me VW would have put something out. VW PUT SOMETHING OUT SO US 2012 BEETLE OWNERS CAN GET OUR WINDOWS FIXED! Also, had a lighted speaker ring go out and the back hatch was making a loud noise with every little bump. My suggestion is to function the windows at least 25 -30 times before the purchase and to drive it a long way on a road that is not smooth. Carry a roll of tape in case you find yourself in the rain and the window malfunctions. Noisy areas include, the headliner (crackles like popcorn), the back hatch (makes a crazy loud noise like it's going to fall off), and the streering column (sounds like electrical shorting is going on).

2012 Turbo Beetle

I bought a new turbo beetle and am very pleased with everything about this car. The stereo system is nothing short of great, the handling and acceleration is exactly like my 2011 Audi TT and the new design makes for a sporty, comfortable driver. The turbo Bug is by far one of the best new cars available in the U.S.

Cutie

We are thinking of buying this car Have driven the 2.5 and the 2.0T 2.5 is great compared to the last and is the sensible choice unless you are going to race! the 2.0T is just plain FAST! Don't get me wrong the 2.5 is quick too. The seats in the 2.5 are a little on the hard side without much give. The cloth seats are more comfortable but they may only they might only come in the 2.oT. Its a vey cool car but not very practical if that is work you are looking for and the gas miles are not bad but there are other cars that will do better.
