Forward Edge of New Wave of Sports Sedans
I have owned my silver-blue CC a mere six days and I am really enjoying it. It is beautiful, sexy, comfortable, technologically advanced, safe, quiet and roomy. I have described it as the "Forward Edge of New Wave of Sports Sedans" because I believe VW is making great efforts to create an environmentally-responsible, fuel efficient, economical sport sedan that meets the needs of the 21st century. Our world depends on cars driving ever lower on emissions and ever higher on fuel efficiency. And for some of us, we STILL want an exciting and stylish car to drive. (No thanks to a Prius; looks like what the old Soviet bloc might have produced had it made it past 1989 into the 21st-century.) I have seen the CC described in online reviews as an "executive" car, which I think is appropriate: I am a 50 year old business consultant, and I don't want or need seating for 5 or pudgy styling of a Toyota Camry, etc. I want a sophisticated, economical, responsive sport sedan that makes travel a joy. The CC does that in spades. (And I love the back seat treatment of two buckets with the cool accordion-covered compartment!) Prior sport sedans I have owned: 2000 Audi A6 2.7T 1987 Saab 900 Turbo 1991 Ford Taurus SHO The driveline takes some getting used to, however, I'm starting to see the logic and potential in it. It is very cool the car can FLY and get GREAT gas mileage. The Turbo 4 coupled with the DSG transmission, some nice aerodynamics, and a lot of computerization make that possible. We're talking 23 mpg combined and well over 30 MPG on the highway. It's a very comfortable and stylish car and has awesome German controls and layout plus Audi-level fit and finish. (I used to have a 2000 A6 2.7T.) This is definitely a car that could be at the lower end of the Audi range; it certainly seems to benefit from the family ties. This 2010 model is the first year apparently with the 2.0T mated with DSG transmission. VW needs to work on smoothness of the S sport mode especially. Turbo engines have lots of lag inherently, and this are does a lot of jerky shifts -- especially in downshifting -- when in S mode. When accelerating rapidly onto a freeway, etc, this is less of a problem; you get a big blast of power that feels like a lot more than 200 hp in under the hood. Love that! The manual-shifting tiptronic I have not figured out completely. Not sure when is the best time to use that except in fast on-off throttle situations such as "squirting" around traffic or on tight roads. The regular M mode delivers very respectable fuel efficiency, and with the advanced engine management, you can cruise around in pretty high gears with out lugging that might have occurred in years past with less advanced engines. I am astonished at how far things have come in 10 years in this arena. Overall, very satisfying drive, and my inner techno-geek is enjoying the challenge of how to understand and fully leverage the sophisticated early-stage advanced drivetrain. Will know more about reliability later.

Super value if you are looking for a sport sedan
I was nervous getting this car because of the reviews that I had read. While it seemed like a value, I was worried that the beautiful fit and finish would not last. But I decided that VW had earned my patronage, and that the price was low enough that I could take a risk (0% financing made it easy). Previously, I had owned a 2000 Jetta GLS, "Atlantic Blue" with tan leather. I loved that car. I put over 250,000 miles on it, and never even had to replace the clutch! It was a dream to own, and even after 10 years I still felt like I was driving a fancier car than I paid for. Enter the CC. It definitely has wow appeal beyond its sticker price. I happened to catch my dealership during a 0% financing promotion, and purchased a Reflex Silver CC Sport R-Line. I did not necessarily want the 18" wheels and Ground Effects that came with that package, but with some negotiation the dealer and I were able to make it financially neutral in the purchase (the sticker price was 32k, I ended up paying 28k which was my original high-end target limit). This car has a significantly different feel to it from other VW products. No other VW I have driven has given me such responsiveness while accelerating and braking. The suspension keeps you completely aware of the road surface without causing too much noise or bumpiness. Handling takes only a couple of curves to get used to (the steering is sensitive to speed). Once you take a couple of turns, you find yourself testing the distribution of weight, and gaining confidence. Gadgets are another story. There is a media connector in the glove compartment that, in my CC, has an iPod connection cable (a very short one). There is also a compartment to shove your iPod, or as in my case, your iPhone into. This connectivity should definitely not be in the glove compartment, it should be in the console under the armrest. VW chose the armrest to put the "aux" jack into, so I am not sure how they arrived at the glove compartment as a logical choice to house your media player. Perhaps there's a reason for the tradeoff (German distaste for iPods and the like maybe?). Bluetooth is another sore point for me. While the excellent touchscreen audio system includes a menu selection for bluetooth audio, it is not selectable. I have read that the particular head unit that I have does not include an A2DP profile (Stereo Bluetooth), so I cannot "pair" my iPhone with the car stereo for the purpose of playing audio. This limits me to the aforementioned iPod connector in the glovebox scenario. I also have plenty of gripes about the usability of the steering-wheel mounted navigation buttons, but I will not go into that. Gadget quirks aside, the car is pleasant to drive and operate, it is FAST, and heads turn to look at it every day, and everywhere you go. If this thing is nearly as reliable, with it's 2.0 Turbo with 6 speed DSG Transmission, as my 2000 Jetta was, my next car will likely be a VW as well!

Love this car!
Over the years I have owned two Passats, one Jetta, a BMW 325, a BMW 330, an Audi 5000s, and a Mazda 626. I have enjoyed all of my cars. I LOVED my BMWs but I did not enjoy the expense of the BMWs. I believe the CC is the best value that I have ever owned. The exterior design is beautiful. The interior is very comfortable and the gadgets are spot on. What I love most about this car, however is the mix of style, sportiness, and comfort. I have the sport with the 4 cylinder turbo engine. I did spend the extra $ for the ground effects and 18" low profile tires which provide the subtle extras that really set this car apart.

Great car
performance like a monster. Turbo engine is so great and powerful. handling like soft hands. I like design in and out. looks like front and back sides feel heavy but, sides look sharp! Most systems set with electronic system. However, dealing was not good as well as japanese cars.

VW CC 2010
My wife and I have had, Mercedes, Jaguar, Lexus, Infiniti, Audi, Acura, Honda and Jeep. I don't think I can recall any one of our cars that had a better fit and finish. This car is incredibly well built, the design is spectacular. In fact we get lots of Mercedes CLS drivers pointing at us because they see a car that looks exactly the same as theirs for half the price. We're very impressed, delighted with the product, great dealership experience. The only reason I gave the car 4 stars in any category is we brought the 4 cylinder engine base model so it lacks a few items, built in garage opener being the key one. We feel like we got a great value for the money we paid. Only have 2,500 miles so I can't speak to reliability or service quality stay tuned. All looks great so far.

Disappointed.....
Since much of this vehicle is based on shared technology with Audi I'm disappointed on the steering and the brakes...I'll only keep it for 2 years max. before the repair bills begin to pile up.. Like the Audi, it seems like even the basic repairs and maintenance requires removal of unrelated parts. Something Audi is famous for.... I read reviews comparing this to the Infinity G35 and the Lexus....Not even close, I just bought my wife the Infinity...Funny thing, the CC sits in the driveway and does accent the houses curb appeal.....

Nice car, great value!
Took delivery of my CC Sport about a month ago. I love the styling of the car inside and out, which drew me to it in the first place. The seats are supportive, but not overly so. The A/V system is the most intuitive and useful of any I've sampled thus far. The one issue with the interior is one that has been previously metioned in reviews-some passengers have bumped their head on the uppor portion of the door opening when entering the vehicle (ouch!). Handling and braking on this car are quite good, however, I would prefer a more firm brake pedal feel. Speed-sensitive electric assist steering works better than I suspected it would. My car has the six-speed manual and 2.0t motor. Bottom-end acceleration and torque are fairly good, but the top end simply wheezes and lacks power in a most noticeable way. That's what after-market tuning is for, I suppose! All in all, I really like the car. This is my 15th VW/Audi product, and it compares rather favorably with the others. It's comfortable, has decent power and returns 27-28 mpg on a tank of premium (that's a range of almost 500 miles per tank!) And the best part-all of this for under $27k. I dare you to find a better value on the new auto market today!

Great car
Had 2 Passats which I loved then the CC. Everything about the car shines, the internal hard drive for storing music, the connection for your iPod and the way your playlists appear on the radio/navigation screen. On the highway we get 35 MPG with the turbo 4 engine, which is peppy has great acceleration. Trunk space is bigger than my wife's BMW series 5. The seats are the most comfortable of any car I have driven. Some features that could be improved: removable cup holder so it could be cleaned, ceiling handles to grasp when entering/leaving, Other than that the car is perfect.
