Bought 2 new 2011 Jetta's in a month
I love VW and have bought 6 from Strong VW in the past 10 years. We got out of are MDX into a new Jetta because it fit my family of 5 just Fine. My wife is so happy to be back into a VW again and she love look, drive, bluetooth, touchscreen and she really like the drive of it. Then my brother in law wanted one and couldn't get a approve so I consign for him so now I am an owner two 2011 Jetta's.

It was my second but sure last Das auto.
Compare to my ather car, 2010 2.5 camry, 2011 jetta got nicer interior materials and that is it: no comfort, sorry, this car designed for slow European traffic, not for US. I feel tired after 2-3 hrs of driving (on my camry I went on 2300 miles trip and back with no problem driving 16-17 hrs a day). 2.5L and 170 german horses feels more like 120,but they sure like to eat-factory MPG is a lie, vs heavier and bigger 160 HP camry. I?m sorry I bought this car and even better, transmission failed at 2K miles! Wanted to trade it back to vw after tranny has been replaced, with 4K miles it worth 6 grand less than new! They were sorry, that european cars don?t hold value! I knew that before, but $6K in 3 month? They were sorry? So much for german engineering and comfort. Finally traded through my friend (lost a lot of cash anyway) on used 2009 camry. It was my second but sure last Das auto.

how cheap can you get
We purchased the 2011 Jetta SE with sunroof and convenience as our 4th vehicle and wanted something economical. I read the reviews of the downgrading of the interior and purchased it anyway. Nothing I read seemed very significant. Well they do not provide a valet key nor is there even a part number to order one. You say no big deal. Well next time you go to a wedding and they only have valet, have fun lugging your GPS and I pod around. Just further proof of VW's downgrading of the Jetta. If I had known this in advance I really would have spent my money elsewhere and this should be disclosed. The lever to adjust the seat back is in a really awkward position.

Great car with a whole bunch of power
I have the SE and love it. I loved my 2007 but the drivers option was up on it so I replaced it with the 2011 version. This car has awesome power behind it and this year you can tell that it is a much smoother ride than the 2007. I also notice the leg room has increased and that is a plus for my growing kids. And the stereo rocks. I haven't heard a better stock radio.

Excellent handling car
The car is great to drive, very manueverable in traffic etc. The inside is comfortable with all the conveniences including a large glove box. That was a surprise because they are usually very small. The heater/air conditioner work fast, heated seats and power windows great. The 6 CD changer & radio sound nice. One of the best things is that it is great on gas. I am very pleased with my choice.

2011 Jetta, a queue from Mac?
I just Got the car, Jetta S, Sunday, and so far I've been thoroughly impressed. When I began looking for cars, specially VWs, all my friends told me "don't get a Jetta, it's a chick car!" or "If you get a Jetta, I won't ride with you." They hadn't seen the new body design. When I brought it home and showed them the first reaction a I got was "wait, this is a Jetta?" for the past two day this has been a common reaction, people have been amazed that this Jetta shakes the stereotypical "chick" car look. I've heard comparisons drawn to Hondas, Audis or Scions. The other comment that is prevalent is the overall impression, that although is has elements or features that remind you of other makes, people say "now this is a Volkswagen." People, regardless of their loyalties in car makers, are impressed with this car and it still looks like a VW, just not a Jetta. An interesting comparison you can say about this car is that it is like the iPod when it first came out. A lot of Mac users hated it, but for your first experience with a Mac product it was amazing. Same with this Jetta. Though enthusiasts may scoff, for my first VW it is great. It's affordable (I'm a grad student), it fits my friends, it doesn't suck gas, I have the manual and it's fun to drive, and besides it got me to buy my first VW.

Why a 2011 Jetta?
Balance between content and price. 1. Enough power for easy highway merges and handling a full load of passengers 2. Smooth driving dynamics; solid feel to car 3. Sleek/current exterior 4. Full complement of current high tech (IPod adaptor, Bluetooth, AUX, XM radio, touchscreen audio interface, CD changer, wheel mounted audio controls) 5. Interior pleasant to look at (I don?t touch my dashboard except when wiping dust off) 7. Great dimensions: Overall length shorter than the Audi A4 even though more rear legroom than Honda Accord/ Acura MDX 8. Sliding sunroof 9. Fake leather interior?looks like leather, more durable v. spills than cloth 10. Big trunk 11. Automatic transmission 12. Power windows 13. Remote keyless entry 14. Included warranties same as Honda/Toyota/Nissan 15. ALL of the above for just over $21k (including delivery)
