German engineering is superb

I bought the car for necessity as I needed a new reliable yet affordable vehicle. I adore German Engineered cars as they take pride in the design, efficiency and quality of their cars. Initially I was in the market for an SUV and was set on the Tiguan 2017 models, until I realized they were premium gas and also the dealership didn?t have any 2017?s left except the Highline. So as a backup plan, I looked into the Jetta. A colleague of mine currently owns one and I liked it, thought it was good and simple. However, I wanted something fancier than just the basic model called the trendline and was willing to pay extra for it. That said, I took the last Wolfsburg edition for a test drive. I loved it. The stitching of the seats is unique to the Wolfsburg 2017 edition. The interior was great. The colour was a bit strange at first, White Silver Metallic but eventually I liked it. It was the last one left so I had no choice but that colour. I?ve had the car for about 2 weeks or so and love it. I have apple car play, a sunroof, tinted windows. Nice alloys, winter mats, winter tires, front and rear dash cameras and platinum protection. I got a great deal on it and am extremely happy with the purchase. The car is comfortable and it?s a solid vehicle. It is much better than the 2012 Hyundai I was previously driving and better than the Kia, Lincoln SUV and Honda Civic my family drives. I feel a lot safer in the VW Jetta than my family?s SUV which they previously had by other companies not German. It?s Iron not plastic. VW reputation went down a bit, but all in all, that?s in the past and they?ve made up for it. For now, all my future vehicles will be German cars.

2017 GLI

The car is awesome, drives great, and has plenty of power. It reminds me a lot of my 2002 Lexus IS I used to own. Only knock on my car right now is the XM Satellite Radio connection is not as clear as the regular fm radio or my apple car play. I love XM radio, and for the quality to not be clear is very disappointing. The speakers are clear and great, but my XM connection has an issue. Taking it to the dealership this week in hopes of a antenna replacement will be the fix I need. Other than that great car for the money.

Amazing vehicle for price range

For the price range, it's an amazing car overall. The 2017 base model comes with a multitude of options that would not be found on similar cars from other companies. The Jetta is also fairly quick for its engine size, partially thanks to its turbocharged engine.

Cheap and cheerful?

Peppy drivetrain. Quality seems decent. Good value. You get what you pay for after all. Not a very comfortable car however.

Love the way it drives

This car has plenty of room for a Sudan. I down sized from a van and love it! It has everything I wanted in a car with out going over the top. Safes me money on gas. And the whole family enjoys it!

Surprisingly Sporty

This car was bought for my wife and she was concerned about getting it because it was smaller and had a smaller engine than her previous Volkswagen, but has since changed her mind and absolutely loves the car.
