I love this car. It has a sporty feel and drive

I think that the spirit of this car is that if a well bread race horse. It was very nimble and gave me lots of confidence on the road. The car I looked at was well accessorised. I think I will go back and buy it....

I bought it used, and I love it.

I haven't had it very long, but my favorite thing about it is how sporty it drives. It is one of the most fun cars I've ever driven. I thought the interior was very nice looking and the exterior, although fairly standard looking, is well done. It feels very luxurious and I like that about it, but like I said, my favorite thing about it is how zippy it is. I have the turbo version of the 2008 Passat and I can tell it has a lot of go in it.

Great value from Volkswagen

The size, features, and performance are a great value. This generation of Passat is truly enjoyable vehicle to drive. It's basically an Audi on a budget. German engineering at its best.

Great value in a wagon

For cultural reasons these Passat wagons are not all that popular in some regions and the Jetta gets better gas mileage sacrificing some interior room and so it seems most people opt for the Jetta wagon. End result is that Passat wagons are a great value on the used market. Looks good, cruises great, 30mpg on the freeway even driving with a heavy foot.

The Practically Perfect Family Sedan

My 2008 Passat Lux is equipped with the 2.0L Turbo 4, and the DSG transmission. The car's size, weight, power delivery, and mileage are amazingly balanced to provide an incredible driving experience. The engine produces 200 bhp, which is more than enough power to push around a 3,200-lb car, and the transmission is the best automatic on the planet. It's the same transmission they put in upgraded Porsche models and call the Tiptronic-S. The car does all that while getting about 23 mpg around town and 32 mpg on the highway. The steering is precise and has zero torque steer, which is impressive for a FWD car. It's quite easy to think of this Passat Lux as a low-cost Audi A4. I've owned 2 Audis, 2 BMWs, 1 Mercedes Benz, and 3 Porsches, so I'm not easily fooled by pretend automobiles. The B6 generation Passats (2006-2010) are the real deal. I own 2 of them, as well as a 2012 (B7), and I previously owned 2 prior-generation Passats, and my 2008 Lux is the absolute best of the bunch. I like it so much that I looked around and just bought a 2009 lower-mileage car just like it.

Beautiful Car/Unreliable/Expensive to repair

I really loved the interior/exterior of the car. Was very roomy and comfortable. Then mechanical issues ruined my experience. First the serpentine belt, then one thing after another. Volkswagen does not stock parts, plus the closest dealer is an hour away. Some mechanics will/can not work on German made autos. Unfortunately, I would NOT recommend Volkswagen.

Big Fan - 08 Passat Wagon 4-Motion

I've had a 2008 Passat Wagon 4-motion for 2.5 years and have loved every minute of it. Bought it with around 70,000 miles and it's been flawless for the 25,000 miles I've driven it. The V6 AWD platform has plenty of power, the wagon has a large interior, and I've had no issues. Would highly recommend.

Very nice car

I like the ride and comfort. Mine is a basic Komfort model so it does not have all the fancy stuff but I still like it
