From Seattle to Beaverton and Back in One Day

I was very particular about the 2018 S4 configuration that I wanted--I expected to have to make an order. I reached out to every Audi dealer within 500 miles to see if they had what I was looking for. Shane at Audi Beaverton responded, saying they had the closest thing to what I wanted in the entire PNW. Others had responded to my inquiry similarly, so I was skeptical at this point. I looked at the car, and it was close, but I didn't spend too much time reading. After scouring dealer inventories myself, I narrowed it down to about five cars, and then I picked the closest to my ideal configuration-turns out this was the same one that Shane e-mailed me. After that, Shane and I started e-mailing each other just an hour before closing time, and our e-mails continued until 11PM at night. Not only did he offer a fair deal on the one car that I was willing to buy in WA/ID/OR, but the interaction gave me the confidence to bum a one way car ride (via a co-worker's son that I had never met previously) from the Seattle area down to Beaverton the following morning. Even though I was technically stranded in the Portland, I was treated well, did not feel any pressure, and drove away with the car I wanted with a fair deal. The sales, finance, and educations portions of the experience were all great. I was in and out of the finance office in what felt like 10 minutes. I was eager to get back on the road in my new S4 to get home since I my ETA was about 10PM at that point. Shane did his best to condense a large knowledge transfer process down to meet my time-frame and he was very good at explaining all of the functions. I'm about 30 and technologically savvy, but you could tell he was accustom to explaining the MMI features to an older, less technical crowd (baby boomers, I'm looking at you)--I have a lot of respect for the patience he has, and did have to exhibit even with me at times. Shane truly had an enthusiasm for the car and it was very evident as he explained the features to me. I was the one rushing him, not the other way around. After my return to WA, I did have some follow-up questions and Shane immediately fielded them to my satisfaction. Overall, I am a very satisfied customer and after owning the vehicle for just over 2 weeks, I would do it all again the same way. I highly recommend this dealership and its staff based on my own experience.
