I was introduced to John Paul's Buick GMC back in September 2015 looking to purchase a used or new vehicle to replace my 2006, 270,000 mile GMC Yukon. I had done a lot of homework online trying to find a newer GMC Yukon from Wisconsin to Illinois and had no luck. I was introduced to part of the John Paul Team: Randy Zimmerman and Robert Steffan these 2 guys went way beyond there daily tasks trying to find me my next GMC Yukon but the GMC Yukon in such high demand we ended up putting a great deal together into a new 2016 GMC Acadia. I put on a lot of miles everyday 110+ and over 18 months I accumulated 60,000 miles and Randy giving me the Number 1 Driver (Client) rating for having accumulated the most miles in the Country on a 2016 GMC Acadia. I have always kept in contact with Randy over the past 18 months looking for the diamond in the rough deal of that Dream truck the hard to find GMC Yukon I so dearly wanted 18 months prior, Randy never gave up always Texting me to hang in there something will eventually come up. I happen to call Randy April 26 2016 just to check in to see what they had in inventory since I was racking up the miles on my Acadia. Randy says come over during lunch I think we got the one and to make a long story short Randy Zimmerman and his team put me into my dream Vehicle once again and now driving my awesome beautiful 2016 GMC Yukon XL SLT Crimson Red with everything but the kitchen sink putting a deal I could not pass up. I picked up the 2016 GMC Yukon on May 1, 2016 and have not stopped smiling every time I get behind the wheel thank you Randy Z. I want to also mention how The team at John Paul's always has your back and that I happen to have a mishap accidently dropping my Mobile phone on my drivers seat and the edge of the phone put a tear in the middle of my brand new seat. I was so concerned calling Randy Zimmerman the next Monday Frantic about what had happened and Randy was so compassionate saying I have a seat guy that will repair it making it look brand new and after dropping the truck off on August 3 Randy came through again and he backed it up with the seat being repaired and no worries but to get back into this beautiful 2016 GMC Yukon XL Serviced by John Paul's GMC. I was in the market for a new SUV and was torn between purchasing a Chevy Equinox and another Buick Encore. I really wanted a slightly larger vehicle than the Encore but didn't want to pay a lot more (the Envision did not meet our price requirement.) I did not want to change to Chevy as I've been a customer of this dealership for over 30 years and want to maintain this relationship. Lisa showed us the GMC Terrain which met all of our requirements, including how much we wanted to pay. There was one option that was not available in the Terrains on the lot - we wanted Sirius XM radio. Lisa did find a Terrain to suit us and had it brought in from another place. She did an excellent job in keeping us informed of the status of the Terrain order and explaining how to use all the options when it came in. If we had not met her, we might not have purchased the GMC vehicle we wanted.

Overall, my Buick encore all wheel drive is a nice ride. However, my general experience with the auto stop technology is not good. Within two years, the auto stop feature caused my brand new battery to die, leaving me stranded On a major roadway in the middle of rush hour. Found this dealership by looking for a new SUV (Pathfinder) on the internet. Honest and forthright answers about pricing up front, over the phone. A breath of fresh air after trying to deal with another Nissan dealer in northern Illinois. Made the drive to the Milwaukee area to see their inventory in person, and I am glad I did! My experience over the phone was bested by my visit; I was greeted with sincerity and service, and all that was said by phone was promptly repeated in writing. My trade offer beat two other dealership offers by $2,000; the price on my new Nissan was comparable to the best I saw online, and beat my local Nissan dealer by thousands. End result, new car from Amato. The General Manager, Igor has a great crew there. I was provided with answers to a specific pricing question by their used car manager, Chris, when I first called and Igor wasn't available. Derricks took care of my trade appraisal and put together the deal. All were great to talk with, very personable, and how they worked together to earn my business did exactly that. Even the F&I process was relatively quick, and painless. Katrina gave me my financing and warranty options without any arm wrestling involved. It took less than half the time it did the last time I bought a new car. All in all, one of the two best new car buying experiences of my life. The dealership was clean, and my new car was delivered to me spotless ( I think it was even waxed) and with a full tank of gas.They are a bit tight on space at their main lot, but the facility was clean and in good condition. I felt good about buying from them.

We shopped around quite a bit for our new 2018 WRX STI. It was a surprise for our son as he had been searching forever for a black STI with the right equipment. Other dealers were not pleasant to work with and did not entertain offers as the STIs are very limited inventory. We found a black STI at Sommers and of course, had to stop by and check it out. What my son did not know was that 3 days prior to our visit to Sommers, I had worked with Mary Higgins and had put a deal together to purchase the vehicle. Mary was a pleasure to work with. Very knowledgeable and a true professional. No high pressure tactics. She understood what my goal was and worked with me to get what I needed. When I told her my desire to surprise my son with the car, she was all in. We worked together on a story so that when my wife and I returned with our son, 3 days later to ???check out??? the car, there would be something waiting for him. Mary played her part very well. Once we arrived, she met us and proceeded to let us know that the car was ???already sold???. My son was visibly disappointed as this was his dream car. Mary then asked him if he wanted to look at the car anyways as it was getting ready to be delivered. Of course, he said Yes! When she walked him out to where the car was parked, there were balloons staged all around it and it was spotless. When we gave our son the keys and informed him that we were the ones who purchased the STI, he was completely surprised and extremely happy. He couldn???t believe that his dream had finally come true. The reason for sharing this long story is to let other people know how far Mary went, to not just get the deal done to our satisfaction, but to also make it a very memorable day for one special kid! The balloons and staging were something that most sales people would have no interest in doing. Unless you were Mary, of course. Kudos to Mary, Grant and the rest of the team at Sommers that helped us make this dream a reality. We do not live close to the dealership but will drive the extra distance to Sommers, for future service needs and just to say hi to Mary and the team. 2016 encore, battery failing no warning

Radio God awful! Won't start about once a month dealership can't figure it out with out it happening in front of them. So I can break down at anytime and Buick nor the dealership will show concern or responsibility. I have 40,000 miles on the car.due to the computer not showing any default they cannot show that the car is not working properly until I get stuck somewhere needs a jump. But once I jump the car it's fine for a couple weeks. Everything is testing 100% when I get it to the dealership. But obviously if it's not turning over and a jump is carrying the factor once a month give or take there's an issue. But the problem is no mechanic from the dealership nor Buick will come out to me when the issue occurrs. But I was told if a mechanic from the dealership goes in and looks at it and they cannot find it due to them being incompetent I will be charged for it. So it's okay for me to drive around in a car that does not work 100% efficient.

I am giving Ewald of Oconomowoc a 5 out of 5 rating. I was in the market for a very specific Ford Fusion as I live in my car during the week and have a second job that required enough interior space to move all my gear. I found the Fusion on Autotrader.com and drove by Sunday to look at it in person. I reached out on Facebook to friends if they knew of someone to speak at the dealership and a good friend recommended Dan and asked if he could forward my contact info to Dan. I had an appointment setup in a few texts. Dan had me bring a few pieces of gear to test fit them in the Fusion. Mike helped with finance even though I had brought my own, but was kind enough to see what he could do on the numbers and protection plans. I can appreciate the opportunity to make sure I was getting the best options. So far I love my Fusion and I have a stack of Dan's business cards in my glove box to hand to anyone in need of a ride. (PS I have been using another family dealer for over a decade and purchased five vehicles over the years but they dropped the ball; however Dan at Ewald picked it up and made me a very satisfied customer.) The only odd thing is that on the way home, I noticed the fuel tank had an estimated 40 miles left in it, less than a 1/4 tank. No biggie, just odd.

The service writer said thy would not charge us the full service fee for a false alarm. and did a full service inspection on top of it too. I love this car! My previous car was a Buick Rendezvous and I wanted something a bit smaller this time to help with gas mileage and was excited when I found the Encore while researching. It is very comfortable and even my basic model has a lot of features. I would recommend this car if you are looking for a smaller SVU that feels like a luxury model.
