Purchased through Carvana used but only 50,000 miles.
Purchased through Carvana used but only 50,000 miles. Have only had the vehicle 7 months and have had it in the shop 4 times. Still paying for a car I can’t drive. Had thermostat housing and full coolant service. Brought home and it is still loosing coolant. Wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

I have had my car almost 3 years, and in the first 9
I have had my car almost 3 years, and in the first 9 months of buying it, I had to have the motor replaced, and after having it a little over a year I had to have a new flywheel , and a new starter put in, now a year and a half into having the car I m currently waiting to have a catalack converter put in, I am so disgusted with it, nobody should have to worry about there car only having it for a year or less, and still have to make payments on a car they can't use because it's always in the shop!! Thank god I have an extended warranty plan because I wouldn't be able to pay to fix the car.

DO NOT BUY
I bought a used, 2016 Buick Encore with 33k miles on it. I have had nothing but problems with it. MULTIPLE repairs, some still under warranty, most of them were out of pocket. Catalytic Converter went out 50k, flex pipe, water pump, thermostat housing unit, turbocharger went out at 78k, multiple other issues. Just this year alone, it has been in the shop 4 times, and the check engine light came back on for a catalytic converter code.

2016 Buick Encore
I have the 2016 Encore and I bought the car brand new. I had a Buick before (the Rendezvous) and I really enjoyed it. Great car! Then I decided to get a new vehicle, so went again with a Buick. Went with the Encore because of the compact, nice size. Seemed perfect for my needs. The Encore turned out to be the worst vehicle I've had! Non-stop issues! Eats batteries and nobody can figure out a drain. Got stranded multiple times, and had the car in the shop multiple times each year, having to have several parts replaced. The car only has 62,000 miles and it’s been in the shop again for the last two weeks! Would absolutely caution anyone looking to buy an Encore.

Various Things Gone Wrong!
I own a 2016 Buick Encore, Sport Touring. I love my little suv and the package it came with. The power leather seat, sun/moon, roof and fog light. It was everything I wanted in a car. However, I don't enjoy spending extra k's on it! I have my car for 4 years, and I have drove 158k mi from the time I drove it off the lot in Morganton. After 6 months, my auto start hung up on me at a red light, and I had to cut off my car and restart. Around about the same time or little earlier my passenger air bag light had came on. I reported both, but nothing was noted or done about. Two years into having my vehicle the auto start hangs up consectively, passenger air bag sensor light still on and 2020 on the passenger side I hit a deer and the air bag did not deploy. Since 2020, I have replace the mass air flow 2x( later 2x more), Coolant Reservoir, Motor for the A/C unit, and fuel pump. I have a hole in a A/C line, but will worry about that later, because my 4th year anniversary my car is in the shop for for the 6x. I had a near miss experience at a 4 way intersection. I couldn't stop my car. I attempt to press down my break pedal to find it was up and firm. There was no dashboard light to signify anything was wrong. Learning since the incident, a check engine light has came on, Im not sure of the code, but Im told a vaccum pump hose has broken off into the engine and other things going on along the range of engine failure, so here I am again about to spend more money. I was actually thinking about upgrading to an Enclave beacause my little Encore is small for my family. Im uncomfortable now to settle for another Buick.

Bad in the snow!
Terrible in snow. Does not reccomend at all. Got stuck in a simple small spot with no snow. TCS did not help. Front wheel drive was the worst of it all. If you get a encore get one that isnt FWD. Anything other thank FWD is better.

Bad Amplifier, Or across wire which is bad
At 44,000 miles my amplifier sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t work in my car in for a 2016 with only 44,000 miles on it that is very bad, I love my car but right now sometimes I have radio sometimes I don’t sometimes my turn signal sound work sometimes it doesn’t sometimes my chime works and sometimes it doesn’t and I don’t know if it’s across the wire I don’t know if it’s the amplifier but my brother said with all the components they put in these new vehicles nowadays he said it can most likely be a crossed wire or in the 2014 to 2016 have been known to have bad amplifiers in them so I think they should be covered as a recall instead of having the customers pay for them and I’ve heard on other vehicles that have airbag complaints and seatbelt complaints all that should be covered by GM and why would you put this kind of amplifier or whatever or so many components in the car if it can’t handle it

Awesome Encore
I have not had any problems with my Encore. I drove it to Nevada, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Kentucky and Arkansas and have not had any problems with it at all. I have had the standard maintenance on it, Radiator Flush, Oil changes and put a new battery on it in 2022. The battery it came with lasted 6 years, can't complain about that. And I just put a set of tires on it too. I am very happy with this model and would recomend it anyone looking for a GREAT SUV.
