Dropped off my Edge for service and detail. Took shuttle round trip home and back (Rod driver was great too). Car looks great, received call during day to ask permission to do additional necessary work. Everyone I have ever worked with at Phil Long in Motor City has been very helpful and courteous.
Our overall experience was awesome. Chris our Salesman, T.D the manager, and Sonny our finance guy did an exceptional job getting the vehicle that we wanted and the payment we were shooting for. Excellent support. Service was timely and complete to my specifications. Amount of time for the service was accurately predicted, which helped me in planning my daily schedule. Personnel were very professional and helpful. We have been using Phil Long for many years and plan to continue to do so as long as the level of service remains and it is cost effective.
Steve and The Service Advisor on Duty assisted us in finding a replacement Battery and getting it promptly installed. (It is a rear trunk mounted battery and so it is NOT obvious.)
The Battery had been intermittently failing and we had visited this issue in the past at Phil Long.
Since the battery replacement and testing/verifying the charging system it has been stable and the vehicle has been starting.
I am disappointed that on previous normal service it was not inspected and noted that the battery turned out to be dated from 2008 and now 8 years old. This should have been noted or found sooner in my opinion but it is s TRUNK mounted obscure battery location.
I am now on my guard about the battery date and life expectancy. From now on all trunk mounted batteries should be checked as normal service in my opinion. i.e., a hidden battery still needs monitoring and a red flag at 4 years old. Thanks Maui Mike Callies.

I had to take my car in after the power steering failed. Chris in the service center called me to let me know about possible scenarios and honestly I was a bit abrasive when he called to let me know it might not be under warranty, he handled me very professionally and did everything he could to steer me in the right direction. I had called and apologized about my behavior later in the day and honestly if I was in his shoes I might not have handled it nearly as well as he did. They took care of me in a timely fashion and was extremely professional with me even after my grumpy tone. I appreciate everything the service center did for me and Chris was very very professional with me at all times. T.D. The general manager helped to get everything taken care of and were nothing but kind and helpful in my time of need. Customer for life. Thanks guys so much!
