Excellent purchase experience

We were in the market for purchase of a small SUV or crossover and considered the usual group: Toyota RAV4, Honda CRV, Subaru Forester/Outback and Mazda CX5. We had visited some other dealers weeks earlier and had test-driven the other models. On a Saturday, we decided to go to Berglund Mazda just to look at a CX-5 but not necessarily to test-drive one. However, thanks to Sam Simpson, our sales associate, we ended up purchasing a CX-5 the same day. He was quite knowledgeable about the vehicle (which, in our experience with other sales associates in other dealerships of different makes, is not always the case) and he let us test-drive the vehicle twice so that we could get a better idea and evaluation of the vehicle. Sam is an excellent sales associate whom I would recommend; he is sincere and never once did we sense any high-pressure sales pitch. When it came to delivery day, Sam made sure the vehicle was ready; he even sent us a calendar with a photo of the new car. He introduced us to the friendly folks in the service department and we got to see the service bay (which appeared clean and orderly-first impressions are still important). There was a small issue with the vehicle’s mudflap and he made sure that it was repaired. I cannot rate the quality of repairs at this time since the vehicle is not yet due for maintenance and has not needed repairs. As for the facility itself, it’s a little dated in appearance, especially when we had to go next door to the newly renovated and fancy Ford dealership to finalize the paper work; however, it was clean and presentable. As for the buying process itself, paperwork is paperwork and I don’t think there is a way to shorten that. Finally, if we were to decide to purchase another Mazda (or a Ford), we would ask for Sam again!
