Tut was the ONLY person on a rainy day that was willing to help me find out some information on a 2017 F250 on the lot. Not a single sales guy (or the other finance guys he was near stepped up). His personality is very energetic and personable. He got my sense of humor and played along. If I HAD to go through Ford for financing, I have a feeling he would have made my experience the BEST I'd ever had. The Wife Loves our NEW EXPLORER !

It was time to look for a new vehicle to replace our aging 2007 Ford Edge. The old Ford had served us well. It ran as good as the day it cane off the lot. It just didn't have all the new electronics and safety features available in the 2018's. So being extremely happy with our last three Ford products , we didn't take long to decide that our next new vehicle would also be a Ford. After a little research we decided on a Ford Explorer. Easy choice. Next to locate a dealer who we could Trust! A dealer that would Sell us a car without forcing a bunch of Dealer Add-ons. WE live in Rowlett so we looked at a few local Ford dealers first, Most didn't have a car on the lot without a $1000 of worthless add-ons like nitrogen in the tires for $250 extra. So we expanded our search futher away , 55 miles away to be exact. That is where we found Five Star Ford, An Honest Dealership with reputation to match. My Wife was 1 step closer to having her dream car in the driveway.. Next I needed a salesperson to help guide us in our quest for that perfect Explorer. That Salesperson was Johnny Birdwell, he was extremely friendly and very Knowledgeable with almost 30 years in the Industry. Johnny reviewed all the different packages and options with us. With his help, We decided on Explorer Sport Edition. Five Star Ford had a huge inventory and Johnny knew where ever Explprer that fit our choices was parked. After Johnny showed us several different Explorers the wife knew exactly what she wanted down to the color of the Explorer emblems on the Car. She had her dream Ruby Red Explorer Sport with dual moon roof, black leather air conditioned seats with red trim, all the fancy new electronics and safety features, the exact exhaust flairs she wanted, the 360 cameras, crash avoidance with or without a rear center console picked out. The only problem was even with Five Star Ford of Richland Hills vast inventory no such Explorer was on their lot. That is when Johnny Birdwell went to work for us to find the "EXACT" Explorer Sport she dreamed of at another dealership in the Five Star Ford Family. Johnny had it ready for us to sign the paperwork the next business day but we could not make it since I was out of town for work. Johnny Birdwell even offered to drop the wife's Dream car off at our house. We thanked him for the offer but decided to picked it up the next weekend. And that my Friend is how Johnny Birdwell helped me make my Wife Happy!

I was fortunate to have John answer my telephone call. The battery in my 2012 F150 appeared to be on it's last leg. I was having difficulty in starting the engine. When I explained my dilemma to John he immediately provided a timeline for the battery testing and replacement. In addition, he assured me the price would be the amount he quoted w/o hidden costs. All went as expected, the invoice was the exact amount quoted and the work was very well done. Prior to talking w/John, I called Grapevine Ford and presented the same questions including a services price. Grapevine's price quote was alomost $60.00 higher for the same "Ford battery" size and warranty. Grapevine"s Services Representative was quick to point out that there would be additonal disposal fees and in-house charges. Odd that two Ford Dealerships in the same metro area priced the same product that differently. "Honesty" resides with John Maurice and Five Star Ford in N. Richland Hills. See John if you want a fair deal.....

I had been researching a new truck purchase for over 6 months; my current truck was an 2005 F250 that I was in love with so this was a hard decision. After researching and driving several makes and models I determined to purchase an F150 Raptor. Knowing there are a limited number my expectations were low and had mentally prepared myself for a let down. Bob greeted me at the door, after a short discussion, informed me this decision had to be made by his sales manager. Within 10 minuets he was back and we had a deal! This was my second Ford dealership to visit that day and the two experiences were polar opposite. At my first stop they didnt even get my name and blew me off. The following day we retuned for paperwork and to pick up the vehical. Again, the staff was outstanding! The "Tut" experience was quick and painless, Jimmie came over to help set up the electronics and both Managers (Gary and Josh) personally visited my wife and I and thanked us for our business. I would like to point out that 5 Star Ford is not the closest dealership to my home but something is different here. Many of the employees have been around for many years. As we were leaving I was thanking Josh and complementing him on his team and he thanked me for my return business. I also found myself at 5 Star 13 years ago and upon reflection recalled this was the only queston Bob asked me prior to going to his Management team. I believe when you have a happy staff it is reflected in you business model. Customers can see this when they walk in the door. We are currently a 7 car family and my recent experience at 5 Star was one of the easiest and best I have had.

This was my first visit to AutoNation Ford. Easy and painless. I set an appointment on-line for a 30,000 mile check up and service for my vehicle. Met my Service Adviser, Jerry Fisher. Mr. Fisher was helpful and attentive. Kept me updated throughout the visit. The appointment was for 1pm and I was out by 2:30pm. Everything that I asked to be done was done. A couple of things I requested, transmission fluid change and tire rotation was not. The items were checked, but deemed not necessary at this time. Fluid level and condition was fine and tire wear was not sufficient to warrant the tire rotation. Saved me a few dollars on the visit. That is always a good thing. Told Mr. Fisher I appreciated his help and expertise and that from this point on, whenever I come in for any service issues ... emergency or routine ... he is my point of contact.

I bought my 2006 Ford F-250 from this dealership 10 years ago, and I' leased two PHEV (Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles) back in 2013--a Fusion Energi and a C-Max Energi. The lease on both cars was due to end, and I approached Lynn Self in late Dec 2016 about replacing both vehicles. Lynn worked with me and let me know when my desired vehicles were available--2017 Fusion Energi and C-Max Energi. I recently purchased a new 2016 Mustang Ecoboost after seeing it listed on Autotrader. Lynn Self was the first person I talked to about the car and was very knowledgeable and prompt to respond with any questions I had. It took two weeks from the first enquiry to picking up the car and during that time Lynn was always easy to get hold of and a joy to talk to. I am from the UK and am currently studying in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I flew to Dallas from Albuquerque on a Thursday morning. Lynn had parked the car in front of the entrance doors to the dealership, which made it difficult to walk in without looking too excited! I was then greeted by Lynn and his beaming smile. He had been extremely friendly over the phone and it was no different in person. There was an issue with releasing the car to me because of my UK driving license. Something like this had never come up before and I was frequently kept updated on what was going on. Mark Wimberly worked tirelessly behind the scenes with head office to get the problem resolved, which he did. He was a huge help and a credit to McDavid Ford. Now here is where Lynn begins to stand far above the rest and goes way above and beyond his call of duty. By the time the problem had been resolved and the car could be released to me, it was 5pm and so the banks had closed. I could not pay for the car until the following morning. Before I had a chance to look at hotels, Lynn immediately insisted that he took care of me by offering to take me out for dinner and inviting me to stay at his own home. According to Lynn, the place we went to for dinner had the best ribs around, and he wasn???t wrong! He and his wife made me feel right at home and were unbelievably kind to me. The following morning the deal was completed and with no more surprises. The car was flawless and was exactly as described and pictured. The service I received was second to none and was an experience I will never forget. This was also my first car and so the buying experience was new to me. If every buying experience is like this, then I will have no hesitation buying again. Lynn was extremely modest and insisted that what he had done for me was nothing special, which is far from the truth. I am more than satisfied with the experience and was something I will not forget. Unfortunately, I return to the UK in 12 months??? time and so it is very unlikely I will have the opportunity to purchase a car from Lynn and McDavid Ford Fort Worth again. However, if our paths cross again in the future it would be an absolute pleasure to do business with you and your team again. Lynn made me feel so at ease with the buying experience and took such good care of me that I made a friend and, in fact, I felt a little sad to say goodbye to him. Lynn is more than a salesman to me, I am proud to call him a friend.

My Online Purchase Experience

I contacted 10 different Ford dealerships online on November 9. I told all of them what vehicle I wanted (2019 Ford Fusion SE) so that I could compare apples to apples. My intention was to purchase by Thanksgiving (within 2 weeks). I asked all of the dealerships to provide me the window sticker and final drive-out price including TTL. I did not want to negotiate back and forth and waste hours of my life to save a few hundred dollars. I wanted to work with the dealership that gave me the best deal from the beginning. Jared with 5-Star Ford in Carrollton was great. He provided me the window sticker and price and went back and forth with me via email a few times to answer a few questions I had. He never pressured me and was very professional throughout the transaction. 5-Star Ford came back with the lowest price and beat the next best price by approximately $1,000. Yesterday, I went to 5-Star Ford and spoke with Jared. I saw my car for the 1st time and within 45 minutes, I was driving home with my NEW Ford Fusion! I could not be happier with this transaction. It was very stress free. Jared provided all the information I needed and did not bombard me with emails or phone calls. I will definitely work with 5-Star Ford (and hopefully Jared) in the future whenever I am looking to purchase a new vehicle.

My best car buying experience ever

Recently, I purchased a 2018, F150, XLT from Five Star Ford Carrollton. My sales person was LaCreshia Jones and she is new enough to Five Star Ford Carrollton that she doesn't show up in the online Sales Staff lineup, or I would write my review under her name and picture. I have traded vehicles about every 4 years since 1988 and this purchase experience was the best ever, due to the team work between LaCreshia (5 Stars) and Sales Mgr Raj Patel. On three separate occasions, I visited the dealership to establish my trade-in value, select a new F150, and for a test drive and LaCreshia made sure all my questions were answered and that I was comfortable with all aspects of my new truck selection. I also applaud LaCreshia, Alexandra Benvenuto, & Joseph Walker for service after the sale, when I went back three days later to get Skylink installed and to get some technical questions answered. Great Experience- quick, easy, painless

Jeff Flaishans and Reuben Krauss, his manager, were great to work with. I shared my expectations and need for ease of process and let them know I totally understood if we couldn't make a deal happen. They said no worries, give me 24 hours and I'll get back to you with some options. That they did! I got a great price that fell within my expectations on a 2017 STX, but I forgot my wife's expectations. Told them she wanted the 6th seat and they said they promised me what they promised and found me an option (XLT) for the same cost to give my wife what she wanted and I didn't have to give up anything between the 2 trucks. Ended up getting the STX and beyond pleased. Quick financing through the website and they delivered it to my door. Not sure if that is their SOP for delivery, but I couldn't get there. Like I said, they made it beyond easy, drove my old truck back to the dealer and the deal was done. All of this took up about a total of 2 hours or less of my life and we did 99% via phone. This is my second experience with this dealer. I will say the first one was decent, but Jeff and Reuben were tops and the real reason I stayed in another Ford. They took the dealership from a 4 star to a 5 for me.

Anthony in service was great. You could tell he really enjoys his job. I was a little concerned when I first arrived. All the customer service reps were standing around talking while I wad standing there for several minutes waiting on someone to come out. Anthony was on the phone and seemed to be the only person working. The moment he hung up the phone he grabber his clipboard and came right out to me. He was extra apologetic for the wait.
