A quick shout out to Greg & Erwin for working with me to get me in the driver seat and out the door of my new (to me) 2017 F-250. To those that read this review, I can honestly say that I personally recommend that you contact, Greg Carraway-Futch, if you???re in the market for a new or used car or truck. Very easy to talk with and he quickly responded to all my emails. In less than 24-hours, I found the F-250 online, sent an email to the dealership to see if it was still available. Received an invitation from Greg to test drive the truck, negotiated the price via email with Greg, drove 2-hours in the pouring rain to set my eyes on the vehicle, took a test drive, processed all the paper work, and drove the truck home within 3-hours after having arrived at the dealership. Folks, it just doesn???t get much easier than that so go visit Carman Ford Lincoln and let Greg put you in the driver seat of your new or used vehicle. Another shout out to Erwin Lee for making the necessary evil paper work job so easy that I thought I was sitting with an old friend that I had known for years. Buying a car is a lot like buying a house. You sign your name a million times before they give you the keys, but Erwin and I shared a lot of laughs during the paper work process and that made the time go by quickly. Oh, I don???t work for Carman Ford Lincoln and I???m not in the business of selling new or used vehicles. This review is real....5-stars!

On September 16, 2017, my spouse and I drove 1 hour and 15 mins with our girls to Jeff D'Ambrosio in Downington, PA. I first went on their website and found 4-5 vehicles that I loved and none of them was the Dodge Journey that I ended up purchasing. Brooks was extremely patient while I search their vast selection of new and certified pre-owned vehicles. I felt like a kid in a candy store. Upon my 2nd test drive I was not too thrilled. Brooks then suggested I try the Dodge Journey. He remembered I wanted leather seats and an SUV. Once I took the SUV for a test drive with the 3 rows of leather seating, the girls and I were all too thrilled. They had already made themselves at home. Needless to say I was not going home without it. Brooks and his finance team worked diligently and past the hours of operations so that I may drive off the lot with my new "BEAST". I love my suv and the service I received that I already recommended Brooks and his team to a few of my co-workers. Thank you so much for my Certified Pre-owned Dodge Journey (which I call my "BEAST).

2012 Ford Focus SEL Review

The car was designed on a Euro model so to speak, Seems very continental, great engine, ok gas mileage, comfortable and seems to be more expensive than it is. Only "repair" issue was water pump covered by warranty, Definitely the manual was the way to go, easy to shift and fun driving, but my alternative reason was that everyone seemed to be complaining about the dual clutch auto which had issues of reliability but also drivers unaware of how to actually drive a dual clutch car. The main complaint is the fairly large number of recalls, the latest is for a faulty computer reading of the gas pressure valve which can leave it stuck and collapse the gas tank and even make the car inoperable, Still waiting for a letter when I can get it fixed. Never had a car failure due to a recall issue, but a pain in the derriere to have to take it in for them. Overall, got the car new for 11K so a good deal in the end for me. Once the bugs are handled, if you buy the manual you'll get a pretty fun cheap ride that serves most purposes,

Good car for my 1st Ford in over 30 years

The 2012 Ford Focus SEL for my use is a very user friendly and comfortable car for both city and highway driving. I the 160 HP motor is responsive, easy to pass with, and efficient on gas. The DCT transmission works well, but you have to get use to how they work. Ford has gone the extra mile in customer service to extend the mfrs. DCT transmission warranty to up to 200K as a customer satisfaction effort. This a good thing and welcomed by this consumer. Overall styling is very European and a fresh design for a North American car maker. GM tried but in MHO failed to deliver. I have been driving Mercedes Benz for a while and this Ford has made me rethink my options when it comes to my next purchase.

The definition of how customer service shoud be.

Having spent 35 years as a customer service professional, I found my experience with Carman truly inspiring. You should start a c/s consulting business. This is a serious evaluation. It is rare to do business with a company that is so focused on the customer experience. Although I am old and my Lincoln will probably be my last car, if I had the need purchase another, Carman is the only dealer I would ever go to. From my original contact, through purchase, ownership and servicing, the team at Carman made me feel comfortable, calm, and reassured. I never even thought about the price. Price is not a consideration when you present a quality product and superior service. I would like to commend Mr, Paul Montefiore for making me feel I had a good day on Wed. May 25, 2016, even with the ordinary experience just getting my car serviced. If I still owned by business (retired) I would hire Mr. Montefiore away from you (a little levity). Sincerely, Jeffrey F. My Sons First Car a Dodge Nitro
by dad with six kids from DealerRater.com

I have been buying from Carman for nearly 30 years. This was the second car I purchased with salesman Dan Shine. This man is the real deal. Zero pressure and respects my family as long term repeat customers. I also worked with Frank Azan again who made the deal happen. I gave 5 stars but really had a very bad experience with Erwin Lee in finance, I kept questioning an issue about an $800 gap insurance charge that I did not want. After 15 minutes of him dancing around my question and telling me over and over he has been doing this for over 20 years and I should trust him, I just gave up trying, signed the papers walked out of his office and went right to Frank Azan who ripped up the paperwork and said I could come in the next day and redo everything with Bob from finance, I came in the next day and was in and out in 5 minutes with the $800 gap insurance charge gone. My daughter is getting ready to have her first child and will be coming in soon to get a brand new car. She will be using Dan and Frank and will be making sure its on a day Bob is working finance not Erwin. A new baby needs its mommy, it can't wait for Erwin to give his never ending I've been doing this 20 years trust me speech to its mommy. Aside from Erwin this place treats you like family with the absolute highest level of courtesy and respect.

This dealership was top notch! The staff went above and beyond to make sure I purchased the car or truck I was most comfortable with. They gave me suggestions and great advice, but was in no way pushy what-so-ever. After I decided on a truck the process was absolutely painless. So quick and professional. I felt like family by the end of the whole process! I would recommend Blackshire Motor's to anyone who is looking for a used vehicle.

Scott Honda of West Chester Review
Gotta love Scott Honda
by Elson from DealerRater.com
November 6, 2018
5 5 5 5 5 4.9 (1660 reviews)
We live around the corner from Scott Honda and have had our 2003 Civic Hybrid serviced there for 14 years. The old car is still running -- that thing will probably never break down, thanks to Honda's indestructible design and Scott's fantastic mechanics -- but we figured we should finally get a car we could plug our phones into without using the tape deck. So we came to Scott, wondering if their sales department was as good as their service department. It was! From beginning to end, Greg was upbeat, respectful, informative, transparent, and attentive to our requests. We wanted another stick shift, which a lot of people haven't even heard of anymore, but Greg was right there with us, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the things stick shift snobs are enthusiastic about; he gave us great advice and compelling opinions from start to end without trying to change our minds about our fundamental preferences. After we decided what model we wanted and priced the same car at other dealerships, I figured it'd come down to brass tacks with a good haggle, but Greg gave us a great price right off the bat -- $600 less than what any of the other dealerships had offered us, possibly because of our "Scott Loyalty Points" from our decade+ in the service department. Even better, the price he named was the actual price we paid, no surprises. He did offer a bunch of expensive extras, but didn't try to push the soft sell when we declined them (though he did treat us to an entertaining story about a makeup explosion in his wife's car in his bid to sell us that crazy Zurich Shield!) Our time completing the finance process with Tom was great as well. Tom also had a whole list of expensive extra warranties to sell us (but like Greg was completely respectful and didn't argue when we declined them). Absolutely no surprises and great service from start to finish. One detail I should mention: there were some "pre-installed extras" already in the vehicle when it was delivered: you know what they are, things like wheel locks, pinstripe decals, a security system, things we didn't really care for and wouldn't opt for. These things are already in the vehicle and the dealers aren't going to take them out because it would be too much effort. But some dealers are coy about this; they try to leverage the situation to try to get you to pay for them (even though they're just going to throw them in no matter what) but Greg and Tom never tried to do that. I found that, above all, to be eminently respectful to us as customers, and although I don't really care much about having wheel locks, I don't mind having them and it was nice not to have to have any arguments about whether I was going to pay for them. In sum, buying this car -- a Civic sedan EX-T, by the way, which we are COMPLETELY IN LOVE with already -- was just a quality experience from beginning to end. For us, Scott Honda is three miles away. If you don't want to move to our neighborhood just in order to be close to them, you might still consider driving a bit out of your way to buy or service your car at Scott.

I just purchased my 4th car in 15 years from Smith Used Cars, and I received the same superb service that I have received the other 3 times. I've been doing business with this dealership since 2002 (sales and service) and I am never disappointed. I walk through the doors and am treated like a friend instead of a customer. I feel at home at this dealership, and at no time during the purchasing process did I feel uninformed or wonder if I was making the right decision. I recommend Smith Used Cars to anyone who will listen- they are the best of the best and truly have the customer's best interest in mind. I look forward to working with them for the next 15 years!

I love this car. I have the Titanium hatchback and it is super sporty and fun to drive. The interior is comfortable and everything is perfectly located for the driver's convenience. The push-button start and keyless entry mean no more fumbling for keys -- just leave them in a pocket or purse and go. Sony stereo sounds excellent with a subwoofer in the trunk. You can't go wrong with this model.

Matt Slap Subaru Review
Great intro to Subaru
by Muttluck8 from DealerRater.com
November 6, 2018
5 5 5 5 5 4.9 (370 reviews)
I've been a life-time Honda driver and owner. It was time to let my high-mileage Pilot go as our family grew and it started to cost more to maintain (I loved that car). I opened my search for a replacement from Honda to Subaru based on the many great things I've heard via friends and family - both new and long-time Subaru owners. I began my search online, searching all dealers near me, looking at their in-stock Outbacks and Foresters. Since all had decent stock of what I was hoping would make it into our price range, I decided to narrow it down to Matt Slap, the closest Subaru dealer to us. I first contacted them to setup a test drive using the pop-up on their website. I was called by Mary T to ask when I could come in. She was pleasant, but unfortunately I was at work and couldn't talk long. A day later I again went to the website and setup an appointment for a test drive, easy thing to do. I was greeted by Greg Winter at the door. Friendly right off the bat and ready to help. We cut to the chase and got out on the lot to take a look. It wasn't long before I was behind the wheel of a Outback Premium. We talked about the car as I drove, of course and, moreover, OTHER makes. He knows his cars and the details! Much more than I could ever care to know or take time to. My point is that it made me feel like he wasn't just going to keep directing me as to why Subaru was great but what else is out there is today's world of cars. Again, something I don't think about much, until ready to purchase a new one. We took a Forester Premium out next. Another pleasant ride and more "car talk". When we returned we looked at other trims of Forester and talked over what I'd look for in price, along with what else they might have in stock. Not long after we were off to their lot on 273, to compare even more. A Forester caught my eye and so we headed back to the dealer to talk more and see what they could do for me. The summation of the rest of the visit: -They looked at my Pilot and gave me a very fair value on it (it being a Honda DID have an impact on whether they would entertain taking it or not) - They gave me a better price on the Forester I wanted after the initial monthly payment wouldn't work for our budget - Greg remained professional and comfortable to talk to and work with throughout the process after I accepted their offer - Larry came by to check on things and ask what I thought, but beyond that had little interaction with him (a nice guy for sure though!) - Finance with Michael went smoothly and was easy for me to understand my additional options. I didn't feel pressured at any point. He's good at his job and, like Greg and Larry, professional, yet comfortable - The last person to help me out was Amanda, who oriented me to me new car and help me clean out my Pilot (YES, I took home my Forester that same day I went in to "just look"!). She was able to answer every question I had and was personable and pleasant. It was a LONG day, having shown up around 9:00AM and left around 1:45. I never felt pressured to buy that day. I was even asked if I would take it home that day if I could and I said that I would consider it. Sure, I was excited to get a new car and maybe anxious and impatient, however I felt good about it driving home, ready to show it off to the family. I'll have a follow-up appointment in the next few weeks. All in all a great experience at Matt Slap!

We bought a brand new and amazingly good looking inside and out 2014 Focus Titanium. The car was for my wife. She drove test the car. She fell in love and we took it. BIG MISTAKE! I drove it for the first time one week later and realize immediately what a defective dual transmission this car possesses. I think, the best way to describe it is like “having a teenager learning how to drive a standard shift transmission car for the first time”. When you start driving slowly from any stop, the car shakes in a jerky motion six or eight times before shifting. Every speed shift you can “VIOLENTLY” feel it, and occasionally a loud clank can be heard out of nowhere. All of this happens in Auto or Manual mode. In slow or fast speed. Don’t try to pass another vehicle because when you try, the transmission will shift 3 to 4 seconds after you press the accelerator. Three weeks after we acquired it, I took it to the Ford dealer. The technician drove it. The Service Manager drove it, and they both agreed that this transmission is a royal piece of $#!+, BUT, they can’t do anything about it because Ford Motors Co. says IT IS A NORMAL BEHAVIOR IN THIS CAR. They printed what Ford says and gave it to me. In it, acknowledges everything I mentioned but arguing that is perfectly normal. Normal in a car that just came out of the oven? That is BS! We tried to return the darn vehicle and the depreciation in five weeks made it impossible to afford. Now we’re stock with this beautiful car, which, other than the transmission, it is amazing. Sad to see how FMC mocks his customers, and don’t take responsibility. In 2017 we bought our 11th new car. A Chevrolet Malibu LT with dual transmission. Boy! What a difference. One of the best cars we have owned. Imagine that the transmission doesn’t exist. You can’t feel the car shifting at any speed. No more Ford for us.

I took delivery of my long anticipated 2017 Lincoln continental on October 14 th. I had ordered it about five months ago when Carman could first place orders for the new model. It is an eye stopper plus wit having only driven 120 miles it seems an amazing improvement over my 2013, which i really enjoyed for 107,000 miles. This is the fourth Lincoln since 2006. Plus I've purchased three Fords as well. Service, support and attention to detail makes this dealership exceptional. I feel I got a very fair deal, great personal attention from Dan Shine and sales manager Frank. Wrapping up delivery and paperwork with Erwin was a delightful experience. I know from my past experiences this is a great place to buy a car. Herm Bloom

Great commuter car.

The 2013 Ford Focus is a stylish commuter car with plenty of features. I have the S.E. model with sports appearance (which adds spoiler and fog lights) which I recommend. The car is great on gas, and is comfortable on long trips. I’ve brought this car on many long trips with no issue being the driver. Passanger also had no issues with comfort. The handling is very nice, very good breaking system along with very good responsive steering. Only complaint I have of the car is the lock feature for driver/passnager. The unlock button is placed right above the hazard light button right under the radio, also the doors don’t have locks on them meaning the only way to unlock the door is via the button up front. Other than that I think styling is good and handling is great. I had purchased the car new mid 2013, just reached 61,000 miles (4/9/2019) and haven’t had to replace anything.

I was very hesitant when it came time to turn in my 2015 Jeep Wrangler Willy's Wheeler. My Lease was up and I had to make a decision and fast. As a first time buyer at BCP on Kirkwood Highway, I can honestly say that I am truly impressed with this dealership and staff Keith is exceptional. He was honest, attentive and thorough during the whole process. He provided me with EXCELLENT customer service and I am very happy with my new purchase. Thank you, Keith! #JeepWave 🤚👍👏

The most unique transmission i have ever driven.

First off I would just like to say for all of the people complaining about the auto 6spd, this transmission is very unique. Its actually a manual transmission, It has a dry clutch pack and no torque converter. The shifting of the gears and clutch are just automated. I have seen so many complaints about it being shaky taking off from a dead stop but Ford says it's normal. You have to drive this car like a manuel, taking off from a dead stop you cannot baby the throttle. You have to blip the gas and roll into it just like you would in a normal manuel car. Again since it's a automated manuel when you are slowing down it uses engine breaking very effectively I may add. Breaking last seconded the computer disengages clutch so it's in neutral at thw mercy of the breaks. This transmission has adaptive learning so it watches your driving habits. When you baby the throttle consistantly from a dig so many times the computer learns that behavior and that's why the jerkiness happens. You cannot baby this car, for at "automatic" trans it sure is rev happy. My gf will drive it for awhile and it will start doing that bc she babys it. When I get into it I'm trying to drive it how I know it wants driven but its confused bc it knows my gf's driving habits. You can make it learn new habits driving it for awhile it will re-adapt back to you OR from a 10mph roll you pin the pedal to the floor till it hits 100. Everytime I do it the car is so much more peppy afterwards, throttle is more responsive, doesnt shift till abt 4500 instead of 2500, just feels more torquey and it stops the jerkiness it has learned from someone else. This car is a blast to drive once I researched how it likes to be driven, i must say its definitely a one of a kind driving experience. Because of the sophistication of the "automated manuel" transmission, when you buy this car they REALLY REALLY should educated people on how exactly this transmission works!!

Great Experience with Videon and Steve Pealer!

I can't say enough about Steve Pealer and Videon!! After my 2015 Jeep Patriot (purchased at Videon) was totaled in an accident on May 4, 2018 (just short of having it for 3 years), Steve was very helpful while I was going through the insurance claims process. I emailed and called him to ask a few questions about the value of my Patriot and looking for a new Jeep. Once the settlement was completed, we made an appointment for Saturday, the 26th and looked at the new Cherokee and Compass. I immediately loved the look, feel and smooth ride of the Cherokee. Steve was excellent!! He was very friendly and knowledgeable and explained every detail about the vehicle so that I really haven't had to look anything up!! He answered all of my questions He made the process very easy and seamless! I'm a very happy customer! Marge in the Finance Department was equally friendly and knowledgeable. She made the finance side of things go smoothly. Thank you Steve, Marge and Videon!! Sincerely, Simone Syracuse

Small and under powered but great gas mileage.

The car is driven primarily by my son. He loves the car. The back seat does not provide much use as there is practically no leg room but the cargo area is good. The screen on the infotainment center is starting to fail but the car is five years old.
