You'll find this hard to believe but we came back today and traded four cars for four cars with him today. We traded the Tahoe for a Traverse and I finally got into a Trail Boss. We also traded the teenage boys vehicles and we did it all without getting divorced! Joe Koebke did it all while getting up and done a hundred times after having his hip replaced a couple weeks ago. I have a red 2017 Jeep Cherokee that I bought used, and I love it. I live in the blue ridge mountains of Virginia and this car has been able to deal with everything i've thrown at it. Deep snow, muddy trails, icy roads... You name it. I have the V6 and I can hook up a heavy uHaul trailer and go up and down all the mountains with it. My wife even hit a deer in this car... It obviously had to go to the repair shop, but my wife was safe. The only thing that bothers me a little is that you can't slam on the brakes and throw it in reverse... You need to stop completely, take two seconds and then put it in reverse.

The Jeep Cherokee is engineered for lasting a long time, my last Jeep had about 200,000 miles on it. Performance is dismal at times, when you need power wait a while. The gas mileage and ride, and the fact that it powers through snow do make it great for the Nevada winter.

I set up an appointment on line then the salesman said he would have it ready outside. Our appointment was 3 days out. When we got there the car handnot been processed yet It needed work done and it was dirty. We test drove it and liked the car and the price. Also when we got there the cost of the car had gone up a couple of hundred dollars. Because I copied what we saw on line and our preapproval they gave up the price we first saw. That was nice. The car needed some work done on it and they did it for no cost to us. It took over a week and a couple of phone calls. We now have the car we expected to bring home the day we got it.

My 2017 Cherokee Trailhawk has 207,000 miles on it and is driven every day. I drove it past the Arctic Circle to the Arctic Ocean in Canada's Northwest Territories a few years ago. Rarely had to use 4 wheel drive. Have replaced shocks and radiator and a few windshields from driving in Alaska and the Yukon. Otherwise, just routine maintenance. Been a heck of a little car.

  My second Jeep ever, my second offroad-capable vehicle ever.  Alas, my first one sank.  The first was a 2020 Cherokee Trailhawk.  This one is older, and has more miles on it.  Hopefully age and experience will mean that it is wiser and will avoid the same fate as its predecessor.   Aside from the folly of the first one that fatally underestimated the depth of a mud puddle that it sought to cross, both have proven to be solid, reliable, capable, and amazingly tough vehicles, capable of going places that normal cars dare not go.
