I used to own a jeep but needed something that would not require constant maintenance. The Subaru Forester was perfect in everyway: reliable, handles well, plenty of passenger leg room, lots of trunk space. Overall great SUV
I purchased a BMW from Gino and I couldn't be any happier. I purchased this vehicle from Cars.com 2000 miles away and I needed to solely rely on his word and trust that the pictures were current and of the actual vehicle. I am happy to say that Gino under promised and over delivered in this transaction. I received the BMW yesterday and it is everything that Gino said it would be and more. Thank you very much and I will certainly purchase another vehicle from you again.

Good Sturdy Car

I just bought car two weeks ago. Sturdy, inside is a little small. Ok but not great on gas. Wish Subaru had better car colors.
TL:DR Rone and Shortline Mazda are amazing. You should go and ask for Rone. Seriously the best, most genuinely thoughtful and empathetic salesman I've ever worked with. My wife and I had been having tons of car trouble with our 2009 Ford Escape. We then traded it with a family member who acquired a 2012 Hyundai Tucson. A month later, a bearing came loose and destroyed the engine. We took it in to Shortline Hyundai and were given the ole sales pitch and a low-ball trade in price and strung along by the service department as they wracked up thousands of dollars of hours for 3 weeks (this was our only car) as they figured out that these engines weren't made anymore but the few they could get were all broken in some capacity. Shortline Hyundai seemed completely uninterested in helping the situation and wanted to simply complete the transaction. After deciding to check out the Mazda CX-5, we walked in and thankfully got Rone. We didn't tell him about our issues but instead just wanted to do some test driving. He was not in any rush, asked very thoughtful questions, and put us in a few models to test, telling us about the features but also the story and design behind the cars. Yeah, he's selling cars, but he's also selling a state-of-mind. Despite that, Rone was obviously in this to meet our needs and not just upsell us, because after hearing our priorities recommended the cheaper version. We then dropped the Hyundai bomb on Rone and the Mazda manager Jason who then set out to make things right. Jason physically went to the next dealership to work this out and he brought back an offer that not only met our immediate needs, but it earned our business for some time. Thank you Rone and Jason for taking the service part of your jobs seriously.

MOST RELIABLE CAR I OWNED

I LOVE THIS CAR IT HAS PLENTY OF ROOM AND I COULD PUT A TRAILOR HITCH ON THE BACK FOR MY SON WHEELCHAIR
All dealers/dealerships aren't created equal. Well this is true in a very positive way as I found a diamond in the rough. My Scion tC finally died (auto transmission) and I always said I was going to replace it with a Lexus IS 300. That's all good until you actually start hunting for one.
For those who don't understand, finding an IS 300 is a feat in itself. They sell quickly, and you're lucky to find one under 150,000 mi. Well, not only did I find one, they had two for sale both under 150,000 mi. I drove down (from El Sobrante) the prior weekend to check the place out and get a feel for it as it was a smaller/local car dealership. There, I met Manuel who helped me from beginning to the closing deal. He was very courteous, not pushy, and shot straight with me.
I called back the following Tuesday (today) to see if the car was still available as people were inquiring about the car while I was there! It turned out a few individuals made offers, but they were below the listed price. Oh yeah, pricing was the same as the website. I even asked for the out-the-door price (taxes, fees, etc.) and gave me that as well.
Needless to say, I was ecstatic! I secured the vehicle today after following up with Manuel. Also, he let me drive it to my mechanic in El Cerrito to get looked at prior to purchasing for my piece of mind.
The big takeaways are Auto 4 Less may not be a huge dealership, but they are: respectful, not pushy, and honest. The car buying experience was smooth and easy-peasy! I would recommend. My personal takeaways are: research (common failures, common costs, common lifespan, etc.) the vehicle you are looking at prior to purchasing as that goes a long way!

This car is meeting all of my needs, with only a few minor tweaks needed from initial purchase - and the seller (a dealer) has been fair, friendly, and open to offering good service packages to accompany sale. Glad I found them through Cars.com filtering options.
Great car for New England weather - AWD, heated seats for winter and strong AC, sun roof for summer. Decent mileage for AWD. Very comfortable and good vision.
I saw a vehicle online I was interedted in. Very professional, didn't try to change my mind, worked with me, I got the vehicle I wanted at an excellent price. Would definitely go back.

So far, so happy
by TomRScott from Bellingham, WA

So far, so good. Only had it a couple weeks.
I would not have scored reliability due to my lack of time with it accept it is required. So I gave it a 3 but think it might turn out better than average...
I'm quite happy to see my MPG to average 30 for a trip of 92 miles with mixed city/highway driving. Better than I had read. Over all MPG since purchasing the car has been averaging above what I read.
I read some complaints about the cup holders but not too bad in reality. The interior could be a bit better designed for today's mobile devices and applications but much has changed in the last 8 years, so...
The only complaint I have is the rack cannot be adjusted forward and backward for better load distribution. Rather it has two mount points for the towers, the forward of which is too far back for kayaks and canoes, often behind the center of gravity.
Another very minor change would be to change the tow loops in front to tow hooks. But that.
It drives well (5-speed manual). Comfortable cornering (on Chuckanut DR). The turning radius seems nicely tight, such as for small U turns. It tracks well. Good visibility in the traditional sense (no backup camera).
I try to be stingy with stars but still gave "Comfort" a 5. It is the most comfortable car I recall driving. Especially compared to the Subaru wagons which can be tight (for entry/exit) even for a guy of only 5' 11" (and I'm pretty flexible). This car has room to spare. Yet it does not feel like I'm climbing into a large RV or truck (which it is not). Good leg room both front and back. Not that I've ridden in back more than once but what few comments I have heard from my riders have been positive. To my recollection, every car I have owned, I have always moved the driver seat all the way back. Not so in this one which leaves a little more room for a passenger behind me. For the first time, I had to fiddle with adjusting my seat after a short driver at the shop. Normally, I just had to slide it all the way back. I'll just have to suffer through that, I guess. Note: After driving around four previous Subaru's I have found they like their clutch all the way forward in the footwell or to the firewall to start the car. This one is no different.
The running lights and other safety features are quite welcome (only missing a reverse camera).
I have purchased many new and used cars over the years and have never had a reason to purchase another vehicle from the same dealership. My purchasing experience was great at Autonation Honda Renton and my sales associate, Nate Nguyen, was fantastic to work with. I did not feel pressured into buying any particular vehicle, but he wanted to make sure that I left with a vehicle that I was totally happy with. I would highly recommend purchasing your next vehicle at this dealership and to see Nate Nguyen to discuss which vehicle would best suit your needs.

I've owned 9 other cars and Subaru has been the best! This 2010 was purchased for my daughter as her first car. I have peace of mind that she will be in a reliable and dependable vehicle.
Earlier this month I had the pleasure of considering turning in my Mazda 5 for a vehicle that I considered to be safer and more fuel efficient. My husband I began searching for Subaru vehicles and we found this 2015 Crosstrek. I contacted the dealership after hours and received a response. The next morning, at 8:30am, Mike contacted me and scheduled an opportunity for me to test drive the vehicle. I came in and Mike was polite, professional, and courteous. I fell in love with the car and the deal shop worked with me with my trade in as well as my financing. I am very pleased with me new car and everyone loves the red mud flaps that I had no idea would be such a conversation starter and helps me distinguish mine from others. Thank you for your great service!

Good all around tough car. I expect to drive it at least another 100K miles. It's very reliable. The two Foresters that I previously owned were also tough and reliable.
The staff at TopGearz were polite, knowledgeable, and honest. When I was looking through the cars within my price range the reps were nothing but couteous and transparent. Throughout the entire process I never felt pressured, or pushed into buying. Ultimately I decided on buying an Avalon and several weeks after using the car for my daily commute I haven't noticed anything wrong with it. I would definitely do business here again and I have recommended this lot to several friends who are shopping for cars.

I absolutely love the overall performance of my Subaru.. I have a major problem. Both driver and passenger seat have deteriorated with only 65,000 miles. Passenger seat foam is so bad when sitting you can feel feel the metal on the right side and the driver's seat is completely off the mounting to the point that I feel as though I'm going to slide off the seat.
This car is a downsize from previous full size SUV. Still roomy and comfortable. Cargo area is smaller than what I'm used to but still accommodates all surf and SUP gear. Roof is easier to load with boards!
Spurr cares for customer satisfaction always giving their best to please. Workmanship is done in a timely fashion and done with care.

Pros: Extremely well built. Had no squeaks or rattles after 95000 miles. Never any problems with reliability. Never got stuck, even in 2 feet of snow during a blizzard. Dealer service dept. was exceptional. Cons: Could be more refined with a lot of road /engine noise. Cheap plastics on the inside. Otherwise, excellent vehicle that was fun to drive (for an SUV).
I purchased my new Subaru Forester in December 2015. Sales was great, not pushy, gave me a fair trade on an aging 2005 Pontiac Vibe and the no haggle price on the Forester. Service experience also great. I have been back 3x for service or repairs. Most recently Friday, 6/30/17, with Donnie V. The service and show room are under construction but the waiting trailers are comfortable, air conditioned and have bathrooms available (no porta-john). Complimentary coffee, tea and light snacks also available. The staff as always was friendly and knowledgeable. I can't wait to see the results of the construction for both service and show room areas. I'm sure it will be beautiful.

Everything You Would Need in a Vehicle

I have always heard that Subarus were good cars but now that I own one, I can honestly say that what I heard was true and possibly understated. This car is wonderful. It does not have all the styling and tech that cars of its year and newer have but it makes up with character. If you want a car that you ride in the other options are great but if you want a car that you can drive (very different concept) then this car is wonderful. For a compact SUV, the handling is stellar, it handles like a sedan. The steering is responsive and accurate, and the cornering is a breeze with minimal braking. with only 4 cylinders and 170hp, it is not the fastest but it is plenty quick. Acceleration is great with no hesitation entering a highway, and passing on the left will give you no issues. The AWD definitely adds to the experience with no acceleration lag, snow obviously won't be a problem when it comes, but the car is great in the rain. The interior can be a little sparse for those that need all types of bells and whistles in the dash. If you are a true driver, liking the sound of a good engine, steering that has grip, and acceleration that bites then this car will give you what you need while giving you ample space for company or gear. If you have one enjoy it, if you don't, go get one so you can.
Rodney Olsowsky was a pleasure to work with! He was friendly yet efficient, easygoing yet courteous and understanding. When we decided to purchase the car, he offered to pick me up at our home so I could drive it back home without leaving a car at the dealership! How thoughtful and understanding of our situation! He went above and beyond just to make this our very best car buying experience in 30 years!

It is a great car for our Blue Ridge Mountains. It has a lot of safety features and am going to give it to my Granddaughter and buy another Subaru Forester. She loves driving it and so do I. We love the Forester.
I've purchased two cars from Colonial Volkswagen Subaru. Shawn Koegler worked tirelessly to get both cars for me, and even taught me how to drive the first one (it was a manual transmission). I would recommend them to everyone I know. They are the nicest people, and you won't feel like you're being "sold" at all. Please give them a shot if you are considering a new car. They will do everything they can to have you driving off the lot with a new car the same day! Trust me, I've done it twice (even with bad credit).

This car raises us up off the ground, it is so much easier to get in and out of. Love the style of the car and the Subaru quality is fantastic. Our mechanic is the person to go to a Subaru. He was absolutely correct
So far I must say I have been pretty pleased with the everyone at prestige. Bobby was my salesman and was very up front with me , I did not feel pressured during negotiations and Bobby was up front with me. I like how nobody tried any sketchy sales tactics such as taking my keys; after my trade in was appraised I was given my keys back before negotiations started. I was given more money for my car than any other dealership offered me (including the big guys) Bobby Martin and I sat down and reached a number we both agreed upon , although it was close to closing time for the dealership, I met with finance and was told there was an 80% chance of approval and I would know the next day. The next day I remained in close contact with the Prestige but they still did not hear back from the bank, on the third day, I was informed that I had gotten approved and could come in to finalize paper work. On this day my salesman Bobby came in on his day off to to finalize everything and be sure the truck I bought was clean , he agreed to meet me at 6:00pm and he was there right on time. Bobby was honest and let me know that the vehicle would still need to be serviced and let me know when to call to schedule service. After driving the vehicle, I did notice an exhaust leak , Bobby assured me that they would get this fixed and I spoke to the service department and they scheduled a drop off time for service and agreed to issue me a rental without any hesitation. So far I have nothing to complain about , buying a used vehicle is different from buying a new vehicle and the dealer really makes or breaks the purchase. I will be sure to send all my family and friends to Bobby as long as the final stages of my purchase and the service to the truck is successful and I have no doubts that this will happen and in a short time period. Prestige won't offer you free lunch and a padded waiting area , but to me, that's not the purpose of going to a car dealer, prestige will not heckle you to purchase a car. Prestige will be honest with you and let you know if a deal can be made . When I met with finance for the final time I was told that my interest rate went up a couple percentage points, but I was assured I didn't have to make the deal , the difference was $18 a month and I chose to agree to this , but I wasn't pressured into this. Bobby is an upfront person who won't lead you on and then let you down , I am sure everything will go well with prestige's service department and I will be a happy customer. Thank you to Bobby Martin, Jerry and everyone else who helped me out.

Mine is an XT Sport and the get-up in this car is amazing. It's quick/peppy, but still really smooth. It's roomy interior makes it perfect for road-trips and has a surprisingly quiet cabin (considering). It took a long time to find the XT, but was totally worth the wait!
