My old car was my third minivan in 15 years. Now that my kids are older and leaving for college, I wanted something that could carry 6 or 7 passengers but was ... well... NOT a minivan. I did some research on late model used three-row SUVs, and found the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder. (My favorite of my three vans was a 2005 Nissan Quest, so choosing Nissan was easy for me.) Before I started browsing for cars, I applied for credit through Carvana, and was approved. Next, I entered in all of the information about the van I was trading for the Pathfinder. (Beware -- the trade-in amount is only good for 7 days, and it can change wildly in that time!) I was pleased with the trade amount, and it was great that I could shop for my new car and see my down payment and monthly payment for every car I viewed! My specifications were pretty clear -- AWD, less than 10,000 miles, and never a rental car. I found my dream car a few days later, and started the purchase process. It was quite smooth and the directions were very clear about what documents need to be uploaded. When I went to click on "finalize purchase" (or something like that), a red flag popped up...my trade-in value expired WHILE I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF CHECKING OUT! I got on chat with Carvana staff right away, and they were able to return the trade in value to NEARLY what it was before the expiration. This is something that needs to be addressed by Carvana -- once a customer is to a certain point in the process, those numbers need to be frozen. So we set a delivery time, and the Carvana rep was pretty much on time considering he was traveling 70 miles or so from the Chicago office. Everything was smooth -- signed a couple more papers, took my Pathfinder for a spin, Eric inspected my trade, and I left within 30 minutes with my new car. I would also like to add that I drove directly to my mechanic, so he could inspect the car and make sure I wasn't buying something with hidden damage. Excellent vision in all directions from the Forester. We like the no non-sense styling of the Touring 2.5i. Easy to get into and out of which matters if getting a few years on you. Very good gas mileage and handling with excellent performance. The AWD is certainly one of many key selling points. Fit and finish is excellent with very good reliability so far. We think it is a excellent SUV and would definitely purchase another Subaru SUV if needed.

Purchased a used 2015 Ford F150 2WD from Crazy Cheap Cars. After I found the truck on their well-designed website, I visited their lot and was greeted by Stephen Thweatt (great saleman BTW) who made me feel comfortable and confident from the test drive to the purchase and on thru delivery. They asked the kind of questions that someone would ask as if they were trying to make sure I was buying the right vehicle, which I found amazing. They openly discussed their business model which was not something you get at every dealership - gained my trust. Everybody there had a consistent customer focus and will tell you what they can and can't do - fair enough. Their pricing is very fair and was below NADA/KBB values. When I asked they explained everything that went into their lower price, pointing out things like slightly worn tires, scratches, etc.) so you know exactly what you're getting. I've never seen that before and appreciated the honestly. Also gave me fair value for my trade in. At delivery, everyone went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied and the mechanics went over the truck to make sure everything was right. I am a satisfied customer and will be buying again from Crazy Cheap Cars - THANKS GUYS!!!

Things had turned around for us--in regards to purchasing 2009 Nissan Sentra. On March 3 2018, another buyer had purchased the car from under us(did not get an opportunity to even see the car) Was not the the dealership's fault. However, come Monday--the following week. The deal fell through.(buyer was not able to take delivery,personal reasons) My son and myself were able to drive from Rochester to Batavia, in order to meet Mr. Pellegrino. They showed kindness, compassion, and beyond. Mr. Pellegrino provided a rather detailed history record on the Nissan, and mentioned to us about the parts that were replaced. (Super Job) From our personal experience, these guys were great, even though I was not at first.(my apologies) Thank you again Pellegrino Auto. Fine group of people.

I like the comfort and the visibility of this car. All who have ridden in it feel that it’s comfortable too. Love the eyesight package which gives warnings regarding blind spots and so forth. Find it very easy to parallel park. My only complaint is that the audio controls aren’t intuitive to use, at least for me.

This is my second vehicle purchased from Vroom in the last 12 months, and I can't imagine ever buying a used car from a brick-and-mortar dealership again. Forester XT Touring or WRX on the down-low?

Wanting something all wheel drive naturally leads you to Subaru. If you're looking for something with some off road capabilities but also a steady commuter with some room to spare, the Forester is the sweet spot. The 2019 generation Foresters are great, but they lack the punch of the older turbo options. With the same 250+ HP, 258 lb-ft torque engine in the WRX, the 2.0 L turbo shaves off over 2 seconds from the 0-60 time of the standard 2.5i engine. And it's noticeable. It gets knocked for being paired to CVT but I find it to be smooth and has great throttle response in Sport mode. Off road and in snow it does really well and lives up to the hype. A lot of reviews don't consider the Forester to be that stylish on the exterior, but I think that's ultimately a matter of preference. I find the exterior to be simple but muscular with the XT having a meaner front end. Inside there are some good upgrades which finally make the Forester feel a bit more luxury including leather seats and accents, a quieter interior and a decent sound system. The Harmon/Kardon sound system still leaves a lot to be desired, however. It's very bass heavy without a lot of refinement. Overall the Forester XT with Touring trim offers some nice amenities with still staying true to the rugged nature Subaru is known for. Pros: fun to drive (3 driving modes, paddle shifters), great visibility, great off road capabilities, roomy back seat and trunk, giant sunroof Cons: lower gas mileage, premium fuel recommended, lack of interior refinement, weak infotainment system

Good All-Purpose Car

Full disclosure: My girlfriend owns it, but I drive it a lot. I find the 2017 Forester to be a pretty decent small SUV. I find it comfortable and fairly well-designed. I'm not a huge fan of CVTs but find it has enough pep when I need it. The dash is fairly well-organized and all critical controls are knobs and buttons rather than buried in the touch screen like some cars. A few things could be slightly better organized but these are minor details. The Subaru infotainment system is pretty lacking and the touch screen is buggy sometimes. They're behind the curve on this. But overall it's a decent car even if I'd like it more with a 6 speed manual.

I like this vehicle except for the engine shutting off when stopped. it does have an override switch, but if I forget to set it the engine will automatically shut off. that's the only thing I don't like about this car.

My 2nd Subaru Forester

My 1st Forester is a 2009 turbocharged model which is still going strong with 110,000 miles. The newer Foresters offer safety and convenience features mine doesn't have so I decided to upgrade. The 2019 Forester no longer offers the turbocharged version so I opted for a certified pre-owned 2018 XT Touring which has a turbocharger. I love the vehicle but because the turbo is no longer available, the used turbo versions have become quite pricey. I am keeping the old one for hauling dogs, lawn equipment and towing my utility trailer. The new one will be just for people for now. The vehicle is just the right size. I am 6'4" and would appreciate a little more leg room and thigh support but the Forester is as comfortable as any other small SUV I checked. There is plenty of headroom. The turbo does require premium fuel and has a lower mileage rating. With the turbo and sports tuned suspension, it is a fun vehicle to drive and worth the money to me. In over 10 years, the older one left me stranded only once when a drive belt broke after 100,000 miles. Based on reviews, I expect the same reliability from the newer one.

This is a review of my SELLING experience to Carvana. I listed my car on Craigslist and was approached by an outsider buyer named Jan. She introduced me to Carvana, which I never heard of before, and it's process. She was very helpful and walked me through the process. The first deciding factor for selling to them was that they offered me the best price (vs. CarMax, Auto Nation, Trur Car). Then I realized the process was super streamlined. All I had to do was upload my documents and, after approval, schedule an appointment for the pickup of my car. Carvana sent a truck to COME TO ME to pick up the car. The driver (Lauren?) was very courteous and pleasant to work with, too. The pickup process, which included a one-mile test drive, took no longer than 20-30 minutes. Immediately after loading my car to their truck, I was handed the check, which I immediately deposited without any issues. My selling experience from being contacted by buyer to getting the check took just 10 days! (Would've been even faster if I was more timely with uploading my docs.) I'd highly recommend Carvana for selling your cars!

The 2019 Subaru Forester fits my 6'5.5" 15 year old son, and there's spare head room for when he grows taller. I researched multiple vehicles. This one had the room, gas mileage, and most of the creature comforts I was looking for. I also has great pickup, responsive handling, and a smooth ride. It's much smoother than my 2017 Mazda CX-5 (a lead butt).
