I just recently purchased a 2019 Subaru Ascent Touring from Liberty Subaru (my second Subie purchased from them). The service was stellar, as I expected. Dan (Meola) checked up and checked in many times during the pre-order and sales process. My salesperson, Brian Goon was enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and helped me configure exactly what *I* wanted in my Ascent (no easy task, since we were trying to assemble a pre-order before the accessories list was even finalized). When the car was finally delivered to Liberty Subaru, even before I signed the paperwork, Brian spent nearly an HOUR explaining EVERY button, knob, switch, setting, dial and readout inside and outside of the car. No, seriously, it was a 100° day, and we started on the outside, where he showed me how to remove and install the hitch cover, how the approach lighting and door lock/unlock sensors worked, where the cameras were, how to fold the 3rd row from the back, where the power was in the back, how the lift gate worked, etc, etc - in the brutal heat. We then moved on to the interior, where he explained everything on the inside from the simple stuff like how to operate the seats to the more complex stuff, like every setting in the Infotainment system, and the readouts on all three LCD displays. He then went through what every manual in the car was and pointed out the ones that were the most important (Eyesight, folks. READ THE EYESIGHT MANUALS), even though he'd already given me a crash course in everything in the manuals. Moving on from there, Tom in Finance finalized my financing - always a pleasure to deal with him!!! I had THREE order changes on my vehicle (I requested all of them) that affected financing, and Tom worked with me through every one of them! He helped me get the best rate and terms and found what *I* wanted for financing to make things work for me! By the time I'd left (after my first "off-road" trip onto their front lawn for a photo), Starlink was set up and done, they'd already cooled the car for me, and I felt comfortable with driving my new purchase!!! I'm tagging Ed Vogel in this as well - he was NOT my salesperson for this sale, but did help with some additional communications during the process and checked in with me to see how everything was going. Ed was my salesperson for my first Subie - a 2010 Subaru Outback. Ed and Brian are night and day in some respects. Ed is more laid back and quiet, while Brian is more enthusiastic and "excited". But, from there, it's all similarities... they both would only sell me exactly what I wanted. Neither of them ever pushed me to anything else or to buy anything I didn't want. Both of them answered every question with a ridiculous level of honesty that's rare to find in many car dealers. They both would answer questions and then wait for me to decide what I wanted. Different approaches, different people, but amazing experiences with both of them. Ed makes you feel comfortable and at ease while Brian feeds your excitement about your purchase - all while both of them provide stellar service in their own unique ways. You can't go wrong either way!!!

I like this vehicle except for the engine shutting off when stopped. it does have an override switch, but if I forget to set it the engine will automatically shut off. that's the only thing I don't like about this car.

I bought my second car 2019 Legacy from this dealership. First, I made an appointment to see a Sales Consultant on-line. On the same day, I received a friendly call from Robert Price who set up an appointment for me. On my appointment day, I met with Steve Durkin, Sales Consultant, who was friendly, helpful, patient and very professional. We negotiated but I never felt being pushed to agree on the price. Eventually we agreed on a price I am comfortable with. I also met Anthony Smolt, who was equally nice and friendly. The color of my choice was not available at that time but Steve promised that it will only take a few days before the next delivery. I have to travel for family reason and although the car has arrived in the dealership, I was still out of town. As soon as I returned to New Jersey after a month, I called the dealership and Steve was happy to inform me that my new car was waiting for me and the negotiated price was still in order. I went to the Dealership, sat with Steve and signed necessary documents in a very friendly atmosphere. I met with David Fried of Finance who has 110% patience with me. He suggested and recommended but still it was my own decision which optional product/service I will purchase. Then I met with Nick Gigantes who escorted me to my new 2019 Legacy. Another man with the virtue of patience, Nick showed me the interior features of my car. After thoroughly explaining to me everything, he has to do it all over again because I forgot what he just explained. I drove ???my pride and joy??? home. The next day, Steve Durkin called me to follow up on how I am doing with my new Subaru and he reassured me that if I have questions or problems or any difficulty, all I have to do is call the dealership and I will get immediate assistance. My overall experience with Wayne Subaru Dealership (the Sales and the Service Department) is truly exceptional because the staff like Robert, Steve, Anthony, David and Nick are exceptionally professional. The 2019 Subaru Forester fits my 6'5.5" 15 year old son, and there's spare head room for when he grows taller. I researched multiple vehicles. This one had the room, gas mileage, and most of the creature comforts I was looking for. I also has great pickup, responsive handling, and a smooth ride. It's much smoother than my 2017 Mazda CX-5 (a lead butt).

I have wanted a WRX hatchback for as long as I can remember. I really liked the charcoal grey color and wanted a low mileage 2014 (the last year the hatch was offered), and I was willing to travel to obtain it. I was pretty excited as it was my first car purchase and I hope to have the car for a long, long time. I had email notifications set up on Autotraders and CarGurus, which I highly recommend doing (especially if you are being as insanely picky as myself). I was alerted when a 2011 Grey WRX popped up at the Wayne Dealership - I was happy about the certified pre-owned option and after doing some research on the dealership I was ready to make a trip out to New Jersey from Manhattan. I sent them an email inquiry and heard back from Steve within the hour. After a few pretty quick emails back and forth I set up an appointment - Steve's rapid responses were a welcome change from other dealerships I had worked with. Not only that but Steve agreed to pick me up at the bus station down the street - incredible customer service before I had even met him. When I got in his car, he let me know they had just got a 2014 in with half the miles and he was all set to do two test drives even though it would keep him after normal dealership hours. You can probably see a theme developing - Steve is an incredibly gracious, accommodating and down-to-earth dude. I liked both cars immensely and Steve spent a solid hour discussing the pros and cons with me and putting up with my OCD! I can only recall him using one car salesman cliche, something along the lines of "what will it take to get a deal done today?" but I will forgive him because in the end we worked out a VERY NICE deal (even though the car was so new it hadn't even been listed on their website yet and they could have held out for some more offers). I honestly think Steve appreciated my enthusiasm for the vehicle and for Subaru culture and thought that the car and I kind of deserved each other. Steve then drove me 30 minutes out of his way to drop me off at the only bus stop with late night service. I set the pick up date for the one week, but ended up needing an extra week to get financing sorted - they had no problem in extending the deal. When I came back out Steve once again picked me up at the bus stop. We ended up chatting for an hour as the business manager was processing a lot of sales (this places sells a lot of Subarus for a reason...) - during this conversation Steve really showed his passion for and knowledge of cars, we talked about his weekend car project and walked through all the upgrades we thought would be appropriate for my WRX! It was a very fun and informative chat and I enjoyed learning about Steve's backstory. I proceeded to meet the business manager, who was also very friendly, I was prepared for his extended warranty sales pitch but I was pretty confident thatI would not be opting for it as the car was already certified pre-owned. Anyway, I ended up upgrading to one-level higher certified pre-owned coverage (which includes electrical, brakes, suspension etc - in addition to the basic drivetrain stuff already included) since the car has a solid 70,000 more miles covered on its warranty. He also essentially threw in tire and wheel coverage for 5 years (a must-have with a daily driver in Manhattan - a few flat tires will pay for the whole warranty) so I felt very good about spending a few extra bucks. Anyway, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish; the car runs great and is a lot of fun (perhaps a little too much fun sometimes...). I highly recommend Steve and the whole team at Wayne Subaru - I will definitely be going back if the need for another wonderful car ever arises. I'll be a Subiu owner for life! Thanks guys!

My wife and I purchased a 2015 Subaru Outback last week at Wayne Subaru (Hamburg Turnpike in Wayne, NJ 07470). Our salesman was Vinnie Calabrese (?). Vinnie was terrific. He seemed to know the inventory very well and let my wife test drive all the cars she wanted. At no time did he pressure us. There was a little confusion on the first car m picked out-the car fax showed a collision, but the car had a Certified flag on it. And actually, our second choice was the car I really wanted. Vinnie was great be sure to ask for him. And at the closing, David in the Finance Office was spot on. I work for a credit union and expected him to pressure us for GAP and extended warranties, but he didn't. In fact, he showed us the warranty information and told us there is no obligation to buy. He also gave us a great rate as Subaru is advertising Special Love offer on new and used vehicles. Overall, the dealership, Wayne Subaru, was really outstanding. And of course the cars are great!

Friends and relatives had recommended Wayne Subaru... even those who do not live close to Wayne. We met Steve Durkin at another location (an area Pizzeria) and we were struck with his warmth and openness. When we later visited Wayne Subaru, all the sales staff were friendly and helpful as we waited for Steve to return from an appointment with another customer. (In other dealerships, we were accustomed to getting a "cold shoulder" from sales staff who didn't read us as affluent and potential qualified buyers". All the staff at Wayne Subaru were genuinely hospitable. Steve Durkin was worth waiting for. He listened to our wants, needs and questions; he gave us great information, and helped us to see and review differences among our options. We had phone conversations with him later and a second visit before making our choice. In the meantime, we compared prices online and we were convinced that Steve was giving us a terrific vehicle for our specifications. We chose a new 2017 Outback with the accessories that we valued most. The purchase was completed within the week, and we have received follow-up call and email from Steve to ensure we are comfortable with the special features and to answer any questions we may have. When deciding to upgrade from our 2007 Subaru Legacy, we test drove other car makes and models. This is our 4th Subaru and I thought I wanted to possibly purchase a different make and model of car “just to drive something different. But after driving several other vehicles, we always returned to Subaru and the Forester. I like the 2019 Forester because it has a roomy interior without it feeling overwhelmingly large to drive to my petite build. The visibility is excellent and the CVT engine is more than adequate on the highway, despite other reviews in which it’s said it’s underpowered. The ride is smooth and buffers the potholes in PA well. I have read other reviews where it’s said the warning alarms are annoying because they are always going off. Honestly, if you pay attention to the road as we should anyway, it rarely alarms. I thought the stop-start feature would bother me, but it really is not a big deal if you allow yourself time to get used to it. I always forget to turn it off, and the car doesn’t always shut off when I come to a stop. The manual tells you certain conditions have to be met for the stop-start feature to engage. When it does, the car immediately starts back up when you ease off the break. I love all the safety features and I still refer to my manual in learning the buttons and controls, but it’s just a learning curve for me. Overall, I would recommend this vehicle to anyone who is considering buying a new vehicle.

I updated to the 2019 from at 2009 XT. Less power but much better transmission and handling. It is quieter and has better road feel. Rear legroom is much improved. The car is a joy to drive and for the money I don’t think it can be beat.

My husband told me about Carvana from a commercial ad he heard/saw. I laughed about it and said 'yah right, there's gotta be a hitch somewhere'. A few weeks later, he brought up Carvana again....curious, I decided to check it out online. The key words there was 'check it out'. I ended up buying a vehicle a couple hours later. Yeup, it was just like that. No hassle, no hidden costs or agendas. So after reviewing everything on the site, I started looking at minivans....I started falling in love with minivans....I started buying minivans....all through carvana. Once I locked in the one I wanted, I went through the credit process, documentation process, and pick up date (I chose pick up - because at this point, I still felt a little 'leary' about the whole deal'. It was so simple, and so honest, and so real. Over the course of the next 24 hours, all my submitted documents were approved and we just had two days to go to pick up the new mininvan. When we got to the store, it's not like a dealership with a lot, but it had three beautiful, well lit, very clean, showroom like bays that your vehicle is sitting in for your to do a complete inspection of it. It was very classy. Please note, our particular location does not have the car vending machine just yet. After passing our over check, I hopped in the car and drove it 65 miles home. She ran like a charm and I knew I had 7 days to decide if I wanted to keep her not. At day 3, although I loved her, she didn't have all the bells and whistles I truly wanted so that evening, I was back on the Carvana site, shopping for a replacement minivan....it's so easy to do when it gives you results based on your financial settings....I found the new 'her' a few hours later. I ordered her up and made the quick call explaining I was swapping and chose to have the vehicle delivered instead of going there to save time. The whole swap process took 2 days...they pulled up right to my house with my next new minivan. In my eyes, she was perfect, but I found a flaw before she was even off the truck. There was a huge bolt in the back tire. I was so disappointed. But Carvana took care of that so amazingly over the top.....they still brought her off the truck so I can check out the interior, test drive it, etc. We found a few more things that we felt should be fixed...minor things. Carvana took note of the items, and took the vehicle back on the truck but promised me (because I really wanted her that day) they would bring her back with a new tire....they kept their promise, three hours later she was back with a brand new tire, not one, but TWO brand new back tires. And they put an extra Carvana cup in the car for me. They swapped the minivans and off the old one went and there I sat with the new one. Smile ear to ear. I worked with Carvana on 6 items that we believed needed repair before committing to keep the vehicle. Carvana went above and beyond. I got an estimate for the repairs at a local shop, Carvana approved it, and within a few weeks, all repairs were completed through Carvana and I have the perfect vehicle, no hassle, no hidden agendas. And every person I dealt with on the phone or in person were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, FRIENDLY, HELPFUL, AND JUST THE BEST!! My Carvana experience was the absolute best. I will never go back to buying a car the old 'car dealership' way. And ironically, we had bought our other vehicle from a dealership just 3 months before being introduced to Carvana. I will give one warning about buying a vehicle through Carvana this way....it can be addicting..lol :-) Yes, I still shop Carvana cars every now and then....I don't even need a car, I just love seeing what Carvana has because it was sooo simple :-) Thank you Carvana for a trememdously wonderful experience.

I had a battery with one bad cell (or so AAA told me after they started my car). So I called and then drove straight to Paul Miller Subaru which, as it happened, was having a sale on batteries. I checked into Express service and asked them to put in a new battery and check my wiper blades. The whole thing took about 20 minutes and I was back driving to work with a new batter for $100 plus installation and a new free set of wiper bladed that happened to be under warranty after 8 months. Pretty cool.

Overall i liked the new subaru forester 2019.However i just drive 1100km as of today 05 May 2019 and i started to here noises coming from the back, the hatch area that is.I am hoping its not a major issue.I recently owned a Subaru outback 2011 model and an upgrade choice to the 2019 forester was a choice gone wrong after careful research. This vehicle is just 2 to 3 weeks old.

This is a great car! Very good on road handling regardless of the weather or road conditions. Only disappointment is the location of the front seat cup holders. They are in an awkward location making it difficult to pick up cups/mugs. The location is right against the arm rest. Recommend moving cup holders to better position or, like in the 2017 model, allow the arm rest to be moved back and out of the way. Otherwise, the car is great. Yeah, small detail but annoying when trying to get the mug.

Forester Sport Eye Catching Small SUV

The Sport version with interior nicely stylized and roomy. Cargo area is adequate and can be extended by flipping down the rear seats. Safety equipment galore, it has Subaru's eyesight system that controls emergency breaking, lane departure (vehicle steers away from highway line if you get to close), adaptive cruise control (if vehicle senses that you approaching another vehicle it will slow down and follow at a distance you can control, car will return to saved speed once no vehicle is in front) with option of emergency rear breaking which my vehicle came with. Blind spot warning is a option you really need and is step above previous versions. The Forester Sport comes with a host of included options, driver electric seat, front heated seats, electric mirrors, one touch down/up front windows, panoramic moonroof, roof rails, apple CarPlay/Android car, 2 USB plugs in front and two for the rear seat passangers, reclining rear seats, hands free phone, heated outside mirrors and more. Additional options are Harman Kardon Speaker system, dimming review and side mirrors and automatic rear lift gate. The vehicle came with all these options which are nice since I am on the road at night quite a bit. Towing capacity is 1500 lbs. The engine sounds taxed when accelerating and a bit noisy. Cabin is very quiet for this entry level SUV and handling is excellent, as well as the breaking. The LED lights are bright and the standard fog lights due an excellent job illuminating the sides. The one thing I find annoying is the engine auto stop/start feature while stop at a light or in traffic. There's a way to cancel it out but you have to do it every time you start the vehicle. The other thing I found is the CVT transmission some time disengages abruptly when coasting. This is minor problem that should be taken care at the dealer. Had the same issue with another Subaru that I own, a change in the programming fix it. As most Subaru's vehicle they are All Wheel Drive but the Sport has an STI dumb down version on the center consul that you can appreciate if you live were it snows, mud and off roading. You also get with STI AWD a shifting preference STI (Higher RPMS before downshift, gives you the oomph when you need it and the regular. Both are control from the steering wheel. The one thing I do recommend you do if you buy this vehicle, READ THE MANUAL. This vehicle is loaded with customizing features and you need to learn what all those buttons due, trust me just do it. Overall I liked the vehicle and have already taken it on long trips, fuel economy is starting to hit 30 mpg in the highway, 27-28 in the city not bad. One nice feature with the gas door, no longer have to pull the a lever to open it just push the door to open. One thing the vehicle must be unlock and not running, another in your face safety feature.

Hello, Because of the conditions of our roads in Westchester I was looking for a car that could keep up with the latest "pot holes". When I asked around one place and name kept coming up on a consistent basis. Everyone said to go to Stamford Subaru. When I did go I was introduced to Robert Fuch, and boy was I glad I spoke to him. He did not pressure me or my family in any way, and his professionalism is top notch. He takes his time and tries to understand your needs and what you expect from the car. He is a wonderful person to know and to have dealt with. Yes his recommendation on which type of car for my family and me was 100% dead on. We have already taken one mini-vacation (3 days) in the car and it drove and handled the road like a dream, just like he said it would. I am looking forward to take a 2-week driving vacation in 8 weeks in the car. If you are looking for a car and asked me whom I would buy my next car from I would not hesitate to say STAMFORD SUBARU and see ROBERT FUCH! I have 2-pinched nerves in the center of my back so a car ride anywhere is a new degree of pain. I explained the type of ride my back needs, the type of family car we need and he suggested and explained to me what type of car I should try. I suggested another car and he told me why that car would not be a good choice, but said we would try both cars. The ride was several left and rights, and over some bumpy roads.... even 2 potholes, and you know what? NO PAIN! It was the first ride I took that did not require a painkiller when I got out. I was so comfortable in that car that I did not want to try the other car. Since I did not want to test-drive the other car he suggested to just sitting in the other car in the show room to feel the difference on my back. Needless to say he was 100% dead on and I am very happy with my new car.

(We did well with a trade in, too) Jeremiah was excellent to work with- he's knowledgeable, easygoing, not pushy and overall great. Bought my 2017 Forester with a 6-speed manual from a CT dealer off their web-site, even though I live in WI. Stamford Subaru had a car coming in and none was available in the Midwest in the foreseeable future. I have never had a better car buying experience. Joe Mercaldo, my sales guy, was unbelievably prepared for my arrival so the transaction and driving away took place in 55 minutes. In 55 years of car buying this was as seamless as it gets.

Purchasing or even leasing a car is an unique experience. Obtaining a Subaru was the last thing on my mind. I fact I didn't even want to visit the dealership! After visiting several dealerships on the island, i figured oh well I'm here so I might as well stop in and see what Subaru has to offer (since I was here anyway and their lights was still on and people were still inside). So I went in. My sales man name is Jody Joseph an amazing guy. I mean this guy has so much patience. I am sure that I plucked and tried every nerve. He never flinched, sigh, or say lady won't you come back on Monday, like the other dealerships salesman said. What I liked the most about this dealership is that my sales man never stop trying to find the right vehicle for me--that includes the price that I wanted. Even at 10:00 pm after I went through every car in the facility--new, used. Jody never displayed fatigued or gave up. He acted as if I had just walked through the door-- 2 hours later at 10:00 pm on a Saturday night. Who does that? Jody is a True, professional salesman and he is on his "A" game. I am 100% satisfied with the service, my newly acquired vehicle, and the price, (and the safety facts about Subarus). The Subarus are vehicles worth taking a look at before you make a decision to go with another auto manufacturer. Island Subaru is the dealership I highly recommend you visit. All the sale people are great and very warm/ friendly. One last experience I want to mention- a young couple were sitting the showroom-the wife about 30 and the husband about 35 years old. They are getting the outback 2017. I have the outback 2016. The husband asked me, did you expect to get a Subaru when you walked in here? I answered no they both said laughing neither did we. We all laughed together and shared our Subaru expeience and vehicle style safety features and the great prices / values. If this review is too long then you have my permission to edit accordingly

Picked up a 2017 Forester yesterday (5/20/17). Salesperson John Espinoza was a pleasure to deal with, a professional attitude, and went out of his way to make this purchase a dream. I ordered the Forester not being in a rush for the vehicle, which changed in 6 days when my Pathfinder died. Needing a vehicle immediately, I returned to see John explaining my situation, to see if I picked a different color or option package I could get a SUV that day. Rather than sell me just anything, John gave me a loaner vehicle to use until the Forester I wanted arrived. When I went to pick up the Forester yesterday there was no push for any additional items as I have experienced in the past. The lease manager offered different warranty options, again not being aggressive. Mr. Espinoza spent over an hour going over all the controls and features, explaining them to me until I was comfortable, answering questions and setting the vehicle up. John also gave me a call the day after to see if I had any questions or concerns.
