My service advisor had warned me that my tires were worn out about 6 weeks ago. Then my tire pressure alert came on two days ago. Yesterday, I called Toyota 101 at 8 AM. They had me in at 10:45 AM and out on the road with four new affordable Goodyears within 90 minutes. Fast turnaround, plus a deal: October special got me 4 tires for the price of 3 + $1. Everyone I dealt with on the phone and in person was awesome. Definitely coming back here for my service and tire needs in the future!
Our intent was to acquire a vehicle for my wife to use. The vehicle would replace her aging minivan and she wished to leave the minivan world for something a little different now that our children are older. We wanted something safe, reliable, and equipped with the comfort features we like. Toyota101 is certainly not the fanciest dealership in the Bay Area, but the our salesperson (John) was very knowledgeably, listened to our requirements, and found the perfect vehicle for our needs. We did not have to do a lot of negotiations to get a great price, and we were not pressured to buy a lot of unwanted extras. All of the questions we had were answered, most very quickly and in a couple of cases where the person didn???t know, they went and got the real answer rather than blow us off or make something up. I was pleased that they presented us with both used and new options as choices for our consideration. We ended up with a 2018 Toyota Highlander Limited Platinum. We expect to get many years of enjoyment and reliable service.

Our whole family are repeat Ventura Toyota customers who are always treated with respect. Today for example: I brought in my aging vehicle for an oil change. I was assisted by Raphael for the hassle-free transaction. Having a bit of time, I test drove the 2018 Rav4 Hybrid with Daniel, and we chatted and had an enjoyable time. When I told him about the kitchen remodel we were in the middle of, he completely understood that it would be a little crazy to buy a new car today. I then went across the way to the Crown dealership and looked at Jeeps. While jeeps are great- that place is super sleazy. The sales person who came out and spoke to me was the old school sleazy car salesman with his condescending manner and disparaging low ball remarks about my current vehicle. Their strategy there seems to be to make the customer feel like a dirtbag driving a pile of garbage. Not really sure how that might work for them, but as I was leaving to go back to toyota the guy was actually shouting to me as I crossed the street trying to sell me pretty much anything... So if you've been with Toyota for awhile, you might forget that these analog experiences happen at other dealerships. Toyota of Ventura is our happy place; whether buying the Toyota brand or a used offering of a different make. They treat you like friends and family.
My wife searched online and found our used 2015 Prius V, with the exact color and low miles that we wanted. One of the challenges was the driving distance. We live in LA and the car was in Ventura, two hours away. Before my wife and I went on our little adventure up north (though LA get-out-of town Holiday traffic) we wanted to speak with the sales department and that's when we met our man, Luis Martinez. Over the phone we worked out a solid deal. I'll be honest, we did go back and forth a few times as Luis continued to check in with his management about our offer, but in the end we felt really good about our price. Once we arrived, Luis greeted us outside with a smile and a firm handshake. He invited us to sit inside as he went to get the car from the back. Once the car showed up I did my good husband duty and thoroughly inspected the car, literally stuck my head under the car on all sides. We took the Prius V for a spin around the dealership and immediately felt comfortable with Luis and the car. Arriving back at the dealership we started the paperwork. This process took a little longer then expected, Luis was called to do other duties around the dealership but he did come in to frequently check in with us. Next phase was financing, Luis introduced us to another gentleman by the name of Shawn Etminani, another solid man who walked us through a glass corridor with offices on either side. I felt as if we were on the Star Trek Enterprise. The layout of the offices represented transparency to us. And that???s exactly how the meeting went. Shawn laid out and explained every part of contract with various financing options. I have to admit, I often hear of this part being the ???heads up, this is when they get cha???, but it was quite different. We met Shawn in the middle and he even worked with us on our budget. You don???t know till you ask. Be fair and reasonable. Know what your true budget is and try to stick with it. Toyota offered a Black Friday financial special that they honored, even thought it was two days be fore the New Years. We did end up paying a little more then what we wanted with extended warranty???s and gap coverage. But in hindsight, we walked away with a great value and a peace of mind. More so, we walked away with a great experience and met a hand full of people that cared if you have walked away with a safe and reliable car. Thank you Ventura Toyota Ruben n Salomeh
I went through the Costco Auto Program so I didn't have to negotiate with a sales rep from the dealership. I research many dealerships on Yelp and dealerrater.com, however, I never bothered to search Tustin Mazda because of their location. After test driving the Subaru Forester and the Ford Escape, I felt the Mazda CX-5 was more suited for me. At the 1st Mazda dealership I went to... as we were working out the deal, (even had the documents drawn up) some things the sales rep was saying (and then back pedaling) may me bolt and search elsewhere. I decided to broaden my search on Costco Auto because I was looking for the CX-5 GT with Deep Crystal Blue Mica and Black Int. I received an email from Jim Feinstein from Tustin Mazda and assured me he can get the CX-5 GT exactly how I wanted it. Jim later emailed me the price of the car and the paper work for a pre-loan application. I told Jim I needed the car before the LA City Sales Tax goes up 1/2% on July 1st and he said no problem. Within 2 or 3 days the car arrived at Tustin Mazda and on June 29th I drove away in one of the most beautiful SUVs I've owned. This car is in line right behind my 1972 Chevelle and my Mazda RX8. Jim was a pleasure to work with and everything was up front and transparent. It was liking going to an Italian Restaurant and getting 5 star service!!! I would definitely recommend Jim Feinstein and his team to my friends. As for the CX-5 GT....It's awesome with the safety features, the Bose sound system and I just love pushing a button to start the car. Also, as for my car insurance, I'm paying $200 a year less than our other car which is a 2010 Toy Rav4....I was told by insurance agent because of all the safety features.... #BeSafePayLess!!
Check engine light was on, and my vehicle was acting a little weird (idle problem). Tried fixing a few things here and there, and the problem continued. I took the vehicle in on Dec 15, 2017, and go it back on Dec 19, 2017. It turned out to be a bad air intake gasket and a fuel pressure regulator. The manager Ken, keep in contact with me. He call when they needed my consent to do additional work, and let me know upfront what the charges were amounting up to. Overall i'm very happy with the work that they have done with my vehicle, it wasn't cheap but it was WORTH IT. And not for one second did I feel like I was getting the runaround from this place, they were very professional about how they conducted business.
This car has better gas mileage than we expected and has 41.4 inch legroom in rear seat. I am a little over 6 feet tall and find front and rear seat room quite comfortable.

My advisor, Mike, went over and above what was necessary to be of assistance to me. When I told him that I had lost my spare key and needed to have another made, he immediately asked if I had checked to see if it was in the car. I replied that I had searched, but he decided to check it out himself and did such a thorough job that it was indeed found. He could have brushed off my loss, making a short-term profit for Lia. Instead, the extra time and effort saved me hundreds of dollars. In the process, he has secured a long-term customer for Lia Toyota!
