So for many years, I have driven past another dealer in the same town to drive out to Maita Toyota. Maita Toyota maintains a high standard of professionalism while able to keep it friendly and greet you like you are part of a family. My first purchase was back in 1984. 1983-Celica. 1984-Celica (1988) 1996 Avalon (2001) 2000 Avalon (2002) Just had some work done on the 2000 Avalon. Junko took great care of my car and it was a pleasure to do business with her. Nothing negative about any one else ever, Steve Morris you are missed! You do pay some good cash when you get work done here, but you know all the parts are top notch original parts and that the work is done correctly, promptly, and it is backed! Thanks again Maita Toyota!

One of the best off over 50 new cars I have owned. Plenty of power and very economical. Safety features are outstanding. I would highly recommend this car if I was buying a used car.

Highlander Purchase
by Mid Size SUV purchaser from DealerRater.com

We just purchased our Highlander Limited with Dustin Clark and what a wonderful experience. My wife and I look at a car purchase as a 5 year event -- much like getting our teeth pulled. We visited 4 other dealerships and looked at a variety of different car brands--I have nothing negative to say about the visits with the other dealserhips, but I want to write about our most recent positive experience.. What I really appreciated from Dustin Clark and the crew at Maita Toyota were: 1.. Attentiveness 2. Knowledge about the car 3. True belief In their product (Toyota) and the dealership. 4. Honesty 5. Reliability. 6. Professionalism I was quite pleased to deal with Dustin from the process over questions we had regarding the car as well as the available options and comparisons to other available car brands. I was also quite pleased to see Dustin's enthusiasm for Toyota--as he had the Consumer Reports listed top brand for the Toyota Highlander as #1 -- (copy of the Consumer Reports 2016 list was right over his desk). He himself is a loyal Toyota owner and was quite blunt over the fact that he loved cars and dealing with people--He has been at the job for over 12 years -- which is pretty rare in this tough and competitive world of car sales. What also got me was his knowledge of the car and his willingness to get us a tremendously good deal. During our test drive, we asked about the Maita dealerships. Without skipping a beat, Dustin volunteered how he loved working for a family owned business and the Maita family commitment to cars and providing cars to people over the years. Dustin didn't sound contrived or sappy, but genuine that Dustin loved what he was doing, How could I NOT buy a car from this guy? Darrell, one of the sales managers went out of his way to be sure that our car buying experience was pleasurable and that we were taken care of, I as well appreciated Darrell's time and effort!!. Paul from Finance was professional and knowledgeable and had been at the business for 30+ years. This is the first time I have dealt with Maita -- but I feel that the employees were happy and that I in turn was taken care of. We closed the deal on a very late weekday. Despite being tired, they carried a professional demeanor and was tremendously patient. I highly recommend this dealership to my friends and family. After our car purchase, I received a follow up call for any questions and when I did call the dealership back -- there was a prompt answer by one of the receoptionsists. This is going to be the first time we will have owned a Toyota Highlander, and certainly in 5 years when it's my turn to get a new car, I will be looking forward to going back.

Great except....

Car looks and runs great. Money saver with the hybrid and very quick. The except is the horrible Scout GPS. No maps, nothing but voice, if you can get it to work at all. No Apple Play, so you’re basically stuck with aftermarket GPS like Waze... and I like Waze. Toyota put Apple Play in the 2019.., no help for the 2018

BEST car buying experience EVER!!!!

My husband told me about Carvana from a commercial ad he heard/saw. I laughed about it and said 'yah right, there's gotta be a hitch somewhere'. A few weeks later, he brought up Carvana again....curious, I decided to check it out online. The key words there was 'check it out'. I ended up buying a vehicle a couple hours later. Yeup, it was just like that. No hassle, no hidden costs or agendas. So after reviewing everything on the site, I started looking at minivans....I started falling in love with minivans....I started buying minivans....all through carvana. Once I locked in the one I wanted, I went through the credit process, documentation process, and pick up date (I chose pick up - because at this point, I still felt a little 'leary' about the whole deal'. It was so simple, and so honest, and so real. Over the course of the next 24 hours, all my submitted documents were approved and we just had two days to go to pick up the new mininvan. When we got to the store, it's not like a dealership with a lot, but it had three beautiful, well lit, very clean, showroom like bays that your vehicle is sitting in for your to do a complete inspection of it. It was very classy. Please note, our particular location does not have the car vending machine just yet. After passing our over check, I hopped in the car and drove it 65 miles home. She ran like a charm and I knew I had 7 days to decide if I wanted to keep her not. At day 3, although I loved her, she didn't have all the bells and whistles I truly wanted so that evening, I was back on the Carvana site, shopping for a replacement minivan....it's so easy to do when it gives you results based on your financial settings....I found the new 'her' a few hours later. I ordered her up and made the quick call explaining I was swapping and chose to have the vehicle delivered instead of going there to save time. The whole swap process took 2 days...they pulled up right to my house with my next new minivan. In my eyes, she was perfect, but I found a flaw before she was even off the truck. There was a huge bolt in the back tire. I was so disappointed. But Carvana took care of that so amazingly over the top.....they still brought her off the truck so I can check out the interior, test drive it, etc. We found a few more things that we felt should be fixed...minor things. Carvana took note of the items, and took the vehicle back on the truck but promised me (because I really wanted her that day) they would bring her back with a new tire....they kept their promise, three hours later she was back with a brand new tire, not one, but TWO brand new back tires. And they put an extra Carvana cup in the car for me. They swapped the minivans and off the old one went and there I sat with the new one. Smile ear to ear. I worked with Carvana on 6 items that we believed needed repair before committing to keep the vehicle. Carvana went above and beyond. I got an estimate for the repairs at a local shop, Carvana approved it, and within a few weeks, all repairs were completed through Carvana and I have the perfect vehicle, no hassle, no hidden agendas. And every person I dealt with on the phone or in person were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, FRIENDLY, HELPFUL, AND JUST THE BEST!! My Carvana experience was the absolute best. I will never go back to buying a car the old 'car dealership' way. And ironically, we had bought our other vehicle from a dealership just 3 months before being introduced to Carvana. I will give one warning about buying a vehicle through Carvana this way....it can be addicting..lol :-) Yes, I still shop Carvana cars every now and then....I don't even need a car, I just love seeing what Carvana has because it was sooo simple :-) Thank you Carvana for a trememdously wonderful experience.

2019 Rav Hybrid Limited A disappointment so far

I am not a big fan of the exterior styling, but I love the inside. The seats are some of the most comfortable I've experienced. The layout inside is very well designed. The interior noise is a little higher than I had hoped, but not intolerable. I wanted a mid sized SUV that felt more solid than the Honda HRV that I traded that also gets in the upper 30's for gas mileage. The Rav feels very solid on the road. It drives great. The mileage I'm getting so far falls well short of expectation. With a combination of in town and highway driving, I got just over 34 mpg on my first full tank. In town, I'm a reasonable, calm driver. On the highway, I'm driving a steady 75 mph. I did not expect to get 40 mpg. My expectation was 36-37. I'm not sure if mileage improves as the car breaks in?

Got a decent deal

I went through Consumer Reports online option so that I could complete as much of my car search and negotiations at arm???s length. Having all the info in writing allows me to think logically, choose exactly what I need, and compare prices, values, and features. I get anxious heebee-geebees having to go up against a salesperson and decide about anything on the spot. When that happens, i always end up feeling that I???ve been bamboozled. Mostly the Consumer Reports ???True Car??? approach worked, with just a few hitches. The first big hitch is that when you sign up, you have to provide both a phone number and an email address. There is no way on the signup to indicate one???s preference for contact, or whether there is a problem with any form of contact. (For example, I???m a teacher, and it is absolutely not OK to call me during the school day, which almost all of them did.) So, within three minutes of clicking yes for quotes, my phone started ringing and dozens of emails began pouring in, sometimes from multiple agents at the same dealership. And since Consumer Reports sends the request to three different dealers, the bombardment is from three different dealerships. It???s awful. But once I reached the callers and told them to STOP CALLING and reach me only by email, the calls slowed down. The second hitch is that once my butt was in the chair for the paperwork, they came at me with unexpected offers of all kinds of extended this and that policies, special protective treatments for the paint (I kept remembering the ???True Coat??? scene in the movie ???Fargo,??? and felt a mixture of irritation and amusement. Classic car-dealership sleaze moves.) If I had known this crap was coming, I would have refused to sit down with the paperwork guys until this information had been given to me in writing so that I could go home and read it, research it, and make a cool, dispassionate, logical decision. I ended up being talked into a $3,200 service/protection plan (???only $50 a month for five years, and you get eight years of coverage!!!), and ended up angry with them and myself. Went back a few days later to deliver my final check after receiving my outside financing, and told the finance guy how annoyed I was with that add-on. He was a bit defensive at first, but then switched tactics: of course I could decline the add-on, but I???d have to wait to have it refunded by Toyota finance. WHAT? I didn???t even take Toyota finance! No luck getting him to understand how offensive it was to have them move ahead with Toyota finance when we had an agreement that I was not taking Toyota finance, and had seven days to secure my own. Whatever. I was going to have to wait for refund of the $3,200. Then they guy came at it again; I could get this policy for $1,000 less (???our employee and family discount price???)! He talked me into that. I think ??? think, not believe totally ??? that the protection plan is reasonably helpful, given all the sophisticated electronics in my vehicle. But I???m still walking around with deep resentment of the process. In the end, I got a good car with the features I wanted, at an OK price, explained well by the internet salesmen with whom I worked. I was treated respectfully, which is important to me as a woman buying on my own. But next time I???ll work hard to head off the last-minute crud at the end, and demand to have all that info in writing before I even poke my head into the office of the bookkeeping/finance guys.

Fast service, nice repair counselor

I’ve been bringing my cars to Folsom Lake Toyota for nearly 13 years. The repair counselors always review the maintenance report with me and let me know if any maintenance will be required in the coming weeks/months, the facilities are always clean and comfortable, and the service is usually pretty quick. I’ve found that it is better to wait onsite for the car. Also, appointments fill up quickly (and can be made online) so expect to schedule at least a week or two out.

Great Gas Milage

The RAV4 is a very nice car to drive both highway and city. Great gas mileage around town and highway is nearly the same. Like the information available on the navigation screen. It has a very smooth running and quiet engine. Very nice compact SUV.
