Terrible bucking when in electric mode.
Terrible bucking when in electric mode. The car has come to a stop twice on a highway after braking. The entire electric system tied into the battery is faulty. We have brought it back to BMW twice and it still doesn’t work properly. Every time the car is in electric mode I feel like I’m driving a manual.

Good before 55K miles Trade it after warranty ends
I bought my 2017 BMW X5 Edrive ( in VA) with 17K miles on it. I'll start with the good: I LOVE the comfortability of the ride, I had a brown interior total package (heated steering wheel, heated front/back, etc.). I will say that the plug in IS NOT worth it. You get about 15 miles total which wasn't really worth my time but it would get me ONE way from work, which was back home because I wasn't going to charge it at my house and run up my electricity bill for a 15 mile max trip. My job had free charging ports so I used it that way. It was okay on gas too. Onto the bad. Once I reached about 55K miles the drama began. One after the other. A constant problem I had was that my rear axles constantly dropped and I felt like I was riding on hydraulics. This repair costs me about 2200 each time. It last dropped last week so I will be trading it in and never getting another air suspension BMW SUV. My display had periods of blacking out during the drive and it wasnt just a fix of turning it off and back on. It needed to stay off for about 5/7 mins (something you can't do at a red light). This was my first luxury vehicle and I hate to depart with it but the repairs are ridiculous. Also, I happened to take it in the shop before the warranty was up and they made a major repair that would've cost me about 7K. I was fearful to keep it but that was within the first 2 years so I figured I would be done with major repairs. Ill say this. Keep it as long as you are under warranty. Once that ends, be fearful. Very fearful. I still love the car but it get expensive after about 55K miles on it.
