Recently, the check engine light came on on Colorado, prompting us to take the truck to a certified mechanic. We were informed that the chassis control module (fuel pump module) had failed and needed to be replaced. The mechanic warned us that the vehicle might run for one more day—or potentially longer—but would eventually stall. Unfortunately, it was the very next day that the truck broke down completely, stranding my son at work. We had to have it towed, and it is now sitting indefinitely, waiting on this critical part. We have contacted multiple mechanics, including a Chevrolet dealership, and were told by all of them that the part is on backorder with no estimated time of arrival, possibly a year or longer. In fact, the dealership mentioned that they have had another Colorado waiting for the same part for months. This situation is completely unacceptable. I now have a 2016 vehicle that will not run and cannot be repaired due to a lack of available parts. I cannot trade it in, because it doesn’t function, and there is no timeline for resolution. How is it reasonable for owners of their vehicles to be left stranded for months—or possibly longer—due to unavailable replacement parts?

Paint on hood looks like it is separating from clearcoat. Takes a very long time to get hot air from heater. Had to replace steering gear.

The paint is horrible. Will crack and fade really quick. The water valve that is behind the motor went out and it is very difficult to replace. The mechanic declined to replace it.
