I just bought a 2013 Sentra SL. After buy8ng it I read some very bad reviews, regarding extensive repairs, costing thousands. I'm a low income, retired Senior, so this is all bad news to me. Mostly concerned about the issues they have had with their transmissions. My vehicle has 78,000km. Should I be worried!?

Slew of mechanical problems
This car was a ticking time bomb the moment I got it. The car would idle roughly when I was stopped at a red light and the check engine light was always on due to some fuel failure (I changed the MAF twice and it didn't clear). One time, it completely shut off while I was waiting to turn left into a parking lot. The previous owners failed to note the front, passenger side window doesn't roll up and the airbag sensor wasn't working. The nail in the coffin was the car failed to accelerate up the hill to the speed limit when the light changes from red to green. I traded that thing in. I did not want to deal with a hefty repair bill.

Love it.
I bought a 2013 Sentra new in 2013. The tranny and the engine just went at 141K miles. I dropped a newer engine in (only 36K miles on it) and a brand new Nissan tranny. Cost me $6,900 for both at the Nissan dealer (including labor), but now I have a practically new car. It’s my baby. It still looks showroom new, inside and out.
