The Navigator is Lincoln's largest vehicle and it's updating it for the 2025 model year. It goes on sale in spring of 2025, and it incorporates a lot of design and feature cues that we've seen already in the Lincoln Nautilus mid-size SUV.
Let's take a closer look at some of the changes to this big SUV. One of the biggest changes to the front end is the new grill and design of the headlights. It also incorporates this illuminated daytime running light that moves through to the center illuminated Lincoln logo. Unlike the Nautilus, which is a single DRL, this has two light sections here. Coming around to the side, this model has the jet package, which is gloss black accents throughout the exterior. 22-inch wheels here though, you can get a 24-inch wheel option as well on the Navigator. One of the interesting changes too, is around to the rear of the vehicle. Instead of the traditional liftgate that it's had in the past, it has a split liftgate tailgate. So when it power opens, you have a section here and also a lower section here. Now, Lincoln is saying they've done that really for a few reasons. One is when this is up, offers some cargo security, so stuff's not gonna fall out of the back. And also it offers a bit of a seating. Lincoln says it's rated for up to 500 pounds, and with the cargo management system, you can have a backrest here that also converts into a table for some tailgate type usability. The really big change on the interior of the Navigator is right up in front of the driver. It's this 48-inch curve screen that sits atop a lower dashboard. Now it's not one continuous screen. There's two continuous curve sections that make the one screen, but it's pretty dramatic. It's like what the Nautilus has in it as well, and you can control what widgets appear up on the screen through this additional 11.1-inch screen lower on the center console. This screen right here is running the Lincoln Digital Experience, so it's a Google-based system, but it still has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity if you'd rather just pair your phone, but it has a full suite of Google apps. And Lincoln includes four years of connectivity to run that Google-based system. The navigator has more of a squared circle steering wheel, kind of keeps it out of the view of the screen in front of you. In addition to that, there are these touchpad-based controls that respond with visual cue up on the screen of what it does and what it can do. It can change a little bit based on what you're in, so it's not a marked button. The navigator comes with four years of BlueCruise hands-free driving. Beyond that, it's a subscription model. You can either pay by the year or pay by the month if you'd only like to use it some of the year, like when you're taking a road trip in the summer. The new Navigator is still powered by a twin turbo 3.5 liter-V6 engine as before, though, the turbos have been updated here. It's rated at 440 horsepower and 510 pounds-feet of torque, and it still works with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Maximum towing capacity is 8,700 pounds. And in addition, it now has Pro Trailer Hitch Assist. Platform updates to the Navigator include a revised rear suspension and an updated front end that's reminiscent of the changes that the refreshed Ford F-150 also gets.
