Must Show I.D.? Volkswagen to Flash Yet Another I.D. Concept in L.A.

Volkswagen has been announcing plans to electrify its lineup for years — and it has a long list of electric concept vehicles in its stable. After the original I.D. hatchback, there came the I.D. Buzz, I.D. Crozz, I.D. Vizzion, ID. Buggy, ID. Roomzz and ID.3. The automaker has said certain elements of the concepts will make it to a forthcoming production electric vehicle … but that vehicle’s time is not now. Instead, VW will unveil another I.D. concept at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show.

We don’t know much about the new electric concept, but VW has said auto-show visitors will be able to get to get up close and personal with the new model at an immersive exhibit at the show.
Following the all-new I.D. concept’s reveal at a private event on Nov. 19, show attendees will be able to see it at an exhibit called “Building an Electric Future.” The exhibit consists of several rooms that showcase components of VW’s modular electric-drive matrix, or MEB platform, and how that will underpin a variety of new electric production vehicles.
Aside from the new concept, Volkswagen has confirmed multiple debuts for its press conference, including the auto-show introduction of the Atlas Cross Sport SUV. Stay tuned for more information from the L.A. show, which will open its doors to the public from Nov. 22 to Dec. 1, following a press preview.
