This is a review of the Cochran administrators and the salesmen, not the gentlemen at the service department. The service department of Cochran has always been welcoming and easy to deal with (particularly, Derek Baer at the South Hills location). After a recent experience I had, I question the Cochran organization – leading me to bring my business elsewhere. I bought my first car in early 2012 from Chris. Overall, the experience was relatively painless; I got the car I wanted at a reasonable price. I got financed through Infiniti Financial and was able to trade-in my old, non-Infiniti car. The transaction was a little long, about 4 hours or so, and the paper signing process could’ve been better (whichever manager, I think it was Heyward but not sure, I dealt with seemed apathetic to me spending 20k+ on a car, as he proceeded to eat his lunch the entire time he handed me papers to sign). All-in-all, the experience was what I expected at a dealership. However, it took me another ~8 months to realize I was lied to. I had my car inspected at Cochran and was told I would need tires in the near future. I was shocked by this considering I was told there were new tires on my car when I purchased it (I realized the tread wearing away so that’s why I car the car inspected ahead of the expiration date). I contacted Cochran to check where the discrepancy was, whether the tires were faulty or what the case was, and, as a result, I received an invoice showing brand new tires installed on my car a month before a purchased it (the invoice also contained other maintenance-related work, which I now question). Again, I was a bit taken back – the tires shown on the invoice were different than the ones on my car. A set of Yokohama’s were apparently installed, but yet I had Michelin on my car. Shortly after, I contacted Cochran to have this taken care of. After spending a good deal of time talking to several people on the phone, as well as stopping into the facility to talk to the GM, they told me that I ONLY had to pay for 2 of the new tires. This is weird considering I should have less than a year old set of tires on my car, and I don’t. Why not pay $450+ to correct Cochran’s mistake? I was lied to on the day I purchased my car, sent a false document (invoice), and the tires I had on my car only lasted 1 year (<15k miles), but that’s the resolution they came up with. I find this unfair, condescending, and disrespectful. I figured a company as large as Cochran preached integrity and stood by their “100% enjoyable experience” mentality, but I was wrong.

Mr. Dolecki, We understand your disappointment if you weren't expecting to replace your tires at this point. We're sorry if you feel this has been a negative experience. Pittsburgh weather and terrain as well as driving patterns can have a significant impact on tires. After driving your vehicle for a year (15,000 miles), your tires have shown tremendous wear. Although your vehicle had four brand new tires at the time of purchase, we have made a good faith offer to replace two of them free of charge. We hope you feel this is fair and we can move forward with our relationship. Sincerely, #1 Cochran Customer Care
To whoever it may concern: Your comment "Although your vehicle had four brand new tires at the time of purchase..." is incorrect. I DID NOT have four brand new tires on my car at the time of purchase. I made this clear in my initial review (but, again, you and your company do not seem to care about details). I had USED tires (tires that only lasted 15k miles) on my car at the time of purchase, although I was told they were new. I am not a moron. Tires certainly do last longer than 15k miles in Pittsburgh - particularly the higher-end tires. Quality tires, driven conservatively, such as the way I drive, should last 30-40k miles in Pittsburgh, at the least. Please do not waste my time. Providing me with two tires free of charge is not a "good faith" offer after I was told I had new tires on my car at the time of purchase.

I know that I can trust them to appraise my trade-in fairly and give me a competitive price on the new car. They do not waste precious time with lots of haggling. Both of my purchasing experiences have been very positive and every employee was careful to explain all phases of the agreement from the price to the operation of the vehicle. I have already recommended that friends of mine work with Bernie Diloreto on locating a new or used Infiniti.

Everyone at Cochran was friendly and made the expereince very easy and satisfying. Jeff (sales) was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and helpful throughout the process. My vehicle was used and they ensured all the little things were taken care of so my vehicle was perfect upon delivery. I was also impressed with their follow-up to ensure my satisfaction and their service dept. options (such as loaner cars, pick-up service, etc) that will make getting any service for my vehicle easier.

This is my 3rd Infiniti and my 3rd experience at Cochran Infiniti with Steve Phillips. The customer service that I received from Steve was by far the best, fastest and friendliest I have ever received. He got me the car I wanted at the price I wanted over the phone!! When I came in, everything was ready to go. Steve is very knowledgeable of every detail of the Infinitis. He signed me up with Infiniti Personal Assistant (made a call to them to show me how awesome this service is), hooked up my phone to the new JX, called my insurance company for me, and showed me how to work all of the features of the car. He even offered to come to my office if I had any further questions. I would definitely recommend Steve Phillips and Cochran Infiniti to anyone in search of a new car. Love my new JX! Thanks Steve..

Steve Phillips and Shawn Kukic made the buying experience quick and painless. While the paperwork was being completed, Steve knowledgeably detailed all the vehicle amenities and functions. After-sale service quality at Infiniti dealers surpasses any I've dealt with in the past.
