Service

I brought my truck in at 7:30 a.m. and was told by Smiley it was a simple recall and would be done by noon. As of 3:00 p.m. they have not called or returned my phone message. They charged me for 10 “free” oil changes but I will go elsewhere.

Service Recall repair

Took almost 2 weeks for what was to be a 3 day service recall repair. At business day 6, I asked for a rental at NC and was denied. I have used this facility numerous times and was getting ticked off at this point. I asked for a price on a timing belt, since my car has 130,000 mi. was told $950+tax, and the engine was already torn down. I think gouging me, since I had no $ in recall repair. I said no. During repair someone dropped something in engine and didn't realize it, cranked car and now I get a new engine. So, that worked out for me but not without angst, worry, no car for 8 days. (I got a rental at NC at that point.) I put NA on repairs because I am getting my car back later and am hoping to God that the new engine will not give me any issues. I realize "sh" happens, but my main issue was with the lack of customer service prior to the engine "makeover". They got real nice after the fact. My husband and I have bought 3 cars here, but do not plan on buying any more at this dealership.

Recall repairs

The service manager, Steve, was extremely helpful. After some initial confusion regarding the availability of a loaner car (my F-150 had a recall notice), he got it all worked out, and I even received a 10% discount coupon for my oil change. That all said, I ended up speaking to Steve because service up to that point was pretty bad: poor phone etiquette and reluctance to consider a date when I could get a loaner while my recall repairs were made. I know it's not Mercedes or BMW, but these trucks are expensive. If you're going to drop $50K+ on a truck, it would be nice to know you're not going to get hassled over making an appointment when a loaner is available. And because I spent so much money, I want to like the dealership and its service department. I don't want to feel I made a $55,000.00 mistake. No-one does. I felt like Steve was reasonable with me, open to feedback, and possessed a lot of common sense and good customer relations skills. That seems a reasonable, fair exchange for choosing to spend my money there. And I'll add that the staff were fine in person. Over the phone, however, I felt like I was talking to the DMV.

2017 Ford Expedition

Great customer service,everyone I came in contact with was friendly. I had my own finance for the vehicle, but everything went very quickly and smooth, I love my Expedition
