STAY AWAY
I bought a car the end of April I was told it had to have a safety inspection done I waited two weeks to finally get the car a month later my engine light came on so I called them they had me bring the car in now I'm being told it has engine problems and its been almost two months they still have my car and I have never received one phone call from them. I work from home so the car has hardly even been driven.

DO NOT go here for service. Mechanics are incompetent. Took our vehicle in to have the AC fixed. We were told three of five flab's were not working. $1015. Then told it would be an additional $600 to put wiring back under dash. Then told it would be $4000 to actually fix, but we could take it as is because it blows. We just need to hit defrost for AC and then play with the buttons to get defrost or heat, etc., but don't hit too many buttons or whole system will break. So incompetent. Over $1600 and not fixed. Spoke with manager and head of service department. Was told there was no way to know that the box was defective. I'm not a mechanic, but even I know that is not accurate given what we told them it was doing when we brought it in (exactly what it's doing now!!!)

I spoke to several people, several times, including service manager and head mechanic. Paid $1710 ($1600 labor) and yet to quote service summary, “Now A/C floor vents and chest vent selection is backwards.” Told to tear it all apart AGAIN and fix will be additional $4100 bc mechanics failed to check before putting it back together. Told A/C works if select defrost. To get defrost to work, will have to play with buttons. Will eventually break. Also told there was no way to know it was the box, yet a simple google search of issues pointed to the box and stated “without the proper experience level of the individual diagnosing the problem, the issue is difficult to isolate.” This appears to have been the case here.

MUST READ!!! The new 2022 Chevy Tahoe is a piece of junk. I have 4 Chevys in my driveway and I will not be purchasing another one. The new Tahoe has been nothing but problems, it was throw together so fast there is zero quality assurance from the manufacture. It’s had electrical problems not starting, the dash intermittently doesn’t work, the radio will turn on when you open the back door while the car is not running, the heat shields rub against the rotors, the interior panels were not installed correctly, the window makes an awful noise when you roll them down, the lane assist and parking sensors don’t work properly, it completely stopped me driving 70mph down the highway with nobody within a 1/4 mile and the sensors won’t notify you if there is something in front of you. And this week we find out my Trunk isn’t installed straight so it won’t open and close properly. This vehicle has been in the service department longer than it’s been on the road. I had a 2018 Chevy Tahoe and deeply regret trading it in for a new one, all of these problems happened prior to the first oil change. I was sold a dream and received a $90k lemon and nobody at the dealership willing to help. The dealership keeps telling me to “contact the covert team for help” but you’ve obviously been contacted multiple times and my car is still in your service department while I make payments on it. Feel free to contact me, everyone in that office has my number. I’m sorry but that’s the last Chevy I will ever buy, I thought I was paying the Chevy premium for quality and reliability but those days are over. They charged more than a Mercedes’ and you get less than a Honda. My advice, shop elsewhere. Their response to these complaints continues to be ignoring the problem and telling me to “contact the covert team” but your team has been contacted over and over with zero results. I didn’t trade my old vehicle in to make payments on a new one to sit in your service department for months on end. I bought a new vehicle so my old one wouldn’t be in the service department and I could take my kids to and from where they need to go but you see how that worked out. You have my phone number if you choose to make it right, otherwise I have 90k reasons to repost this review everyday and no amount of employee reviews will bump this review down the list. Buyer beware of 5 star, 1 review Google accounts, most are sales associates and employees, the rest are customers the sales person wrote the review. Nobody’s first review ever is a 5 star for a car salesman, let’s be real. This is a horrible sales tactic to falsely increase their ratings. BTW Covert Team, this xxx Silverado 1500 with a flat tire you “generously” let my wife shove 3 kids in the back of is doing the same thing as the windows of my Tahoe that apparently nobody has ever seen before.

After months of contemplating to trade my 2019FordF-150 for a car wasn't something I wanted to do; One thing for sure, I WAS GOING BACK TO Brandon Lopez at Covert Hutto. I lost count on how many vehicles I've bought from Covert Hutto, but never would I go to anyone else but this outstanding Salesman, Brandon Lopez. His knowledge of what he's selling to me is never left me wondering if 'he knows what he's doing', because it's very apparent that he self-checks himself on any vehicle he's going to sell or show me. I never have felt pressured or question myself on any of my purchases. If he doesn't know the answer, he will tell you and he will find it. He down-right listens to your every need and interest on the type of vehicle that best fits YOU!
