I had First Team in Chesapeake VA do the frame replacement safety recall. Neil McClanan the Service Manager and Alex the mechanic did an outstanding job for me. Neil keep me informed throughout the process. He was very pleasant to work with and made me feel that my satisfaction was his top priority. Alex was over-the-top on making sure everything was done correctly. He double checked all of his work and fine tuned things that did not meet his liking. A big thank you to both of them. Truly a great Service experience. The job spanned seven weeks from time of drop off to pick up. After the initial inspection of the truck Neil and Alex gave me a list of items that they suspected would be a problem in teardown and a list of optional services/replacement items to consider while the truck was disassembled. I chose all the suggested services and parts replacements. The total bill was $3,050. About 1/3 was related to teardown items and the rest was optional suggested services and worn parts replacement. My wife and I were prepared to spend $3,000 on the work and First Team was made it happen. Kudos to First Team, Neil and Alex. They exemplify and dignify the Toyota name and reputation.

I was insulted by the very low offer for my car.
The sales people like everywhere else, the same behavior. I had no problem with the sales person, but the appraisal manager had no people skills. I was insulted by his very low offer for my car. My car had only 55k and he offered me $1.500. No people skills. Sorry for the dealership to have someone like that on that position. Myself, my family and my friends will never purchase anything from that dealership.

I worked with Tommy Hancock. He made me feel very comfortable as well as the rest of the staff. Presented me with all my options without making me feel pressured. This is the second vehicle I’ve purchased from this dealer. I highly recommend.

I walked in picked my car and paid cash for it. This dealer didn’t even call XM for me and transfer my services. The sales person even argued with me that it was not necessary to do that. Therefore I paid 2 bills. There is nothing good much less exceptional about this dealership. Service dept is lax and a real nightmare. It’s manager doesn’t even know what is going on. Will be selling this car soon but I will never ever buy another car from First Team again!!

Loving my truck
Easiest car purchase ever made! Mike McCoy worked with me until I found the Tacoma I wanted. He was pleasant, informed and made the process go as smoothly as possible.

Worst customer service and inadquate vehicle repair.
I would never purchase or recommend anyone purchase a vehicle from First Team Toyota. Every time I have taken my vehicle in for any type of car inspection/repair, when I get it back I am presented with a new problem that I DIDN'T have prior to taking it in for service. The worst part is that the service rep doesn't returned my calls, acted as if my concern for my proper car repair was aggravating him, and communicated to me with a negative attitude. When we did communicate I remained courteous and polite but in return I was spoken to with a frustrated tone and he even had the audacity to say "You're the one with the broken vehicle, we are trying to fix it!" I have purchased 5 vehicles in my lifetime from various dealerships on Western Branch Blvd. and I have never experienced anything like this, the customer relations and poor car service that I've experience at First Team Toyota.

Highly upset
Took my car in on the 4th of June for maintenance, notice a bulge in my tire. They rotated my tires but never changed out my tire. If it wasn’t for my husband noticing a oil leak because the cap wasn’t tightened down... took it in and of course never a extra vehicle for me to use but I can wait in hour for a shuttle! Paying all this money for sad service

Excellent used car experience
I found the car I wanted at a great price online at this dealership. I worked with Jennifer in Internet Sales and Dan Toner in the sales department. They were both great. Helpful, honest and very responsive. I asked for additional pictures of the car and received detailed pictures including minor dings almost immediately. The dealership was 3 hours away and when I got there the car was exactly as described. There were no scams, pressure, or secret costs added on. The transaction went quickly and I was on my home in my car within 90 minutes of arriving. Exceptional experience. Would definitely recommend the dealer and Dan Toner.

Too unreliable,strange customer relations.
In dealing with First Team dealerships twice,I've learned not to deal with them at all.The first time I tried to buy a car (a used Mustang) from them at their First Team Honda dealership, they raised the price by $2000 between the test drive and when I got back home to consider the deal. They denied the price rise, and pestered for 3 months for me to buy the car at the higher price. Not very likely.Recently,we test drove a dodge ram truck at First Team Toyota and found that it fit our needs perfectly. We told them we liked it and would arrange the money over the next two days.By the time I returned, they'd lowered the price for another customer(which they wouldn't do for us) and sold it to the other customer.Great guys to avoid.I've learned my lesson, and am telling others about the dealer's games. There are much better people out there to deal with.

Don't go there
I wasn't going to write a review until I received in the mail today, an advertisement for " Free check engine" 27 days after I paid $99.00 for check engine light inspection along with getting a tune up and Fuel system service - THAT I DID NOT ASK FOR. I WAS SCREWED!!!!! as long as I own my Matrix it WILL NOT GO THERE FOR SERVICE AGAIN!
