I would love to see this dealership service dept value a customer’s time more. They are very friendly and they do good work. But to have a recall done, I had to first go in and see if my car actually qualified (not sure why a VIN check wasn’t enough?), then they had to order the part (nobody told me they wouldn’t have it that day), then I had to come back in. They wanted all day, and it took three hours. So, two trips in after taking off work to do a job that Ford insisted needed done. On day of, I came back in and it took 3 hrs when they asked for all day. Then, no less than 30 min to have someone just bring my vehicle to me at the end, as I stood there waiting, ultimately offering to retrieve it myself. I would suggest that there be a bigger effort to be efficient with your customer’s time. That would lead me to using the dealership for all my other work. As it is now, I try to avoid the dealership because I know I’ll have less sitting and waiting in smaller shops where I’m not a small fish in a big pond.

After getting some service work done on my Lincoln, I
After getting some service work done on my Lincoln, I informed the dealer there was more work needed. I wanted to make sure they were aware of the additional problems because I was nearing the end of my extended warranty period. Then, when I actually got the vehicle in, after I had reached the end of the extended warranty period, I was denied any coverage from the warranty because I was over the mileage limit for the warranty. I informed them that I had indeed mentioned this to them while the warranty was still valid. I fully understand that the extended warranty company, Millennium, has the say as to what is covered. I feel the dealership should go to bat for me because they were made aware before the warranty expired. The problem was supposedly advanced to the service manager, but I haven't been afforded the courtesy of any contact from them. Be very wary of having service done here.

The last time your vehicle was in our service department was in April, at which time we addressed and resolved the issues you brought to our attention. During that visit, we also noticed a screw in your front tire prior to delivery—we let you know right away, stayed late to repair it, and completed the work at no cost to you. We did not receive any mention of a USB or charger issue at that time. Regarding your current concerns, it’s important to note that a number of miles and several months have passed since that visit. Unfortunately, extended warranties—such as the one you had through Millennium—are strictly enforced based on mileage and time limits. We understand the frustration that comes with denied coverage, but once a vehicle exceeds those limits, the warranty company does not allow us to proceed with any claims. We always aim to support our customers, but when threats are made, we must cut the conversation short. We’re here to help when approached in good faith and would still be happy to discuss your service needs if you'd like to reconnect.
