Traveled all the way from Anchorage Alaska to work with
Traveled all the way from Anchorage Alaska to work with Rick “The Subaru Dude” Aarons! Found a few online prospects, but Rick helped me narrow my search down to a sweet CrossTrek. Was able to complete 99% of the initial paperwork via phone and Rick answered all of my questions and sent me a walk around video of the car as I was traveling from out of state. Car was as advertised upon my arrival. Smooth process at the dealership; in & out in about an hour. Big thanks to Rick for the heavy lifting on his end, and for negotiating a fair price.

Repair and service - Stephan is the go to guy!!
Southern Oregon Subaru service department and Stephan are my go to. Bought my used Subaru Outback a year ago - it had a couple of things needing attention - Stephan and his crew stepped up to the plate - a year later and Stephan is still my go to guy. Problems solved, prompt service, wise advise and great care. And… reasonable cost. Trust is my important guideline and Stephan and his crew meet the goal. Thanks Stephan for your great service and care.

Tony is the BEST!
Great All changes saved I love my Subaru Outback to the max! Tony was the best salesman I ever have done business with. He is knowledgeable and extremely helpful. This car is a computer on wheels and Tony had been wonderful teaching me to use all the bells and whistles. He always kept me up to date on the delivery and made sure to get me in first thing in the morning when it finally arrived. The service and parts department was the easiest one to deal with in my experience. Overall a very happy experience. I love my new Outback to the max!!

Disappointing Sales Experience
The Southern Oregon Subaru experience for my wife and I was less than stellar. This Forrester Touring deal was to be our last car purchased for us. We considered the Lexus RX350, BMW, and Volvo SUV’s also. Our decision was based on visibility, practicality and our 75 years of age. So we did our homework. This dealership was well rated and we read the reviews. We wanted to shop locally and have a no hassle experience. When we met Levi and Craig they were friendly and located a car coming into southern Washington. They listed a price with a small discount. I offered a much lower price. I did not hear from them for a day or two and finally called them. They said the car was sold! I asked why they did not call me and counter offer. They apologized and admitted they “dropped the ball”. Weeks later they called and said another colored Touring was coming in. We met with Craig Pena and brought our checkbook. They wanted full price. I asked them to at least honor their previous discount. Reluctantly the manager said yes. I then asked for a meager $500 off. Craig said this would be no problem. He said the manager was busy and would call us later at home. Big mistake! When we received no call that day I called then next morning. Levi said the car was sold! I called the manager and again he admitted that “they dropped the ball” again. A few days later Levi called me and I simply said that I do not wish to do business with southern Oregon Subaru ever again. Our experience here was either the result of a dysfunctional or dishonest dealership. You decide. We later learned that One of our friends family members from out of town had a similar experience. In my humble opinion, buyers beware at Southern Oregon Subaru.

We diligently strive for a satisfactory outcome for every customer and will spend however much time it takes to meet that goal. After several months of looking for the right blend of customer needs, budget and available inventory, we are sorry that we were not able to find the perfect match.
Great little car @ 3 years after purchase
My experience was great. They helped me get what I was looking for. Traded in my old car for what I asked. Ted was most helpful. They gave me a book of coupons to use, GREAT useful coupons, free oil changes for 3 years, tire rotation, car wash and cleaning and support, even though the car I bought was a used CHEVY.

Best place, EVER!
SO Subaru is THE place to buy a car! Nick K. is the best salesman I have ever worked with and only will in the future. He takes the time to get to know you and you family, your needs, interests, "gotta haves" and will work tirelessly to get you your dream car. The general manager goes above and beyond too, thank you Randy! And Walley too! Signing paperwork is way more fun with these guys! 5 stars, absolutely recommend!

Terrible Service, Waste of Time and Money
I brought in my car a while back because it was making a horrible noise when turning the wheel, which I figured was the power steering pump. When I bought it in, I brought this to the attention of the service rep who was "helping" me, named Drew, and even told him that I thought it was the pump. They diagnosed the problem as being the rack and pinion, which I actually believe needed to be replaced, replaced it and sent me on my way. The noise continued, so I had to bring it back in (from 30 min away) for them to then tell me in was in fact the steering pump. I left my car there on a Wednesday or Thursday, saying I could pick it up by end of day Friday. I get a call the next day telling me they need to order the part and my car won't be available for pick up until TUESDAY! So I finally drive back up, get my car, and make two turns out of the parking lot when it just dies on me in the middle of the street, not 50 feet from the dealership. I'm able to start it again and so I bring it back around, where they tell me the car needs to "re-learn its idle" after a plume of smoke had come out the exhaust. I drove it home and since then my car continues to die, accelerate erratically, suck gas, and cue the check engine light, constantly putting my car into limp-home mode. According to my access port, the fuel system is running rich. NONE of this ever happened until I picked it up from the dealership for the second time. Worst of all, I called in (today is 3/4) and they tell me they won't have a loaner car for me until the 17th, showing no remorse for the situation they put me in, making all of this my problem due to their incompetence. I understand my car is an '08 but it has about 60k miles on the engine, has been serviced regularly, and properly maintained as a whole. This kind of treatment and service is completely ridiculous, unprofessional, shady, and disgraceful. If you drive a Subaru, like many of us in the Rogue Valley do, do yourself a favor and get your car serviced anywhere but here. You've lost a valued customer.

Regarding the original issue, we installed the pump at no labor cost, with an ASAP appointment and no-charge loaner. The issue with the engine is not related to the work we did on power steering/rack and pinon; however, we are happy to help diagnose and fix. Service manager has left 3 messages with customer to address engine issue.
