Great experience!

We very much enjoyed working with Robert as he is a "no pressure" salesman and is easy to speak with. Would highly recommend him and McGovern Ford if you are looking for a vehicle.

Excellent!

I came here in hopes of purchasing a nice, new, affordable car and was not disappointed. Robert K went the extra mile at every turn to make sure I was satisfied with my new car and that I got the best deal. He made purchasing a new car incredibly easy, understandable, and timely. I will be sure to come back and personally ask for him if I ever have any automobile concerns.

Buyer Beware

On 1/14/2020, I bought a 2015 Ford Edge SEL from McGovern Ford at 1212 Westford St, Lowell, MA. Unfortunately, the car has not performed well because the steering rack collapsed less than 4000 miles after I bought it from them less than six months ago (the car's mileage is currently less than 50,000 miles) and to be hit with a $2543.53 bill to fix a steering column is very unreasonable. I have also seen that my make, model and year of car has a consumer report where the power steering is a fault and recalls have been made. Apparently, my Vin number is not eligible for the recall (although the fault of the car fits the description of the recall perfectly). I also question just how well my car was "thoroughly inspected" before offered for sale. For instance, it was filthy when I drove it home. I had to completely wipe down and vacuum the interior. I can only infer that someone traded it in and they just flipped it without even cleaning it or inspecting it properly. I didn't write a bad review at the time as I figured it was just a bad day at the office for McGovern Ford, and ironically for them, I've never brought a complaint to a company before this debacle. The service manager, Rosie Cray, made it very clear that the bottom line is all McGovern Ford is interested in. The fact that they sell me a car for $20,000 that requires me to pay over $2500 in repairs less than 4000 miles later is clear evidence. At the very least they could have offered to waive the penny-pinching diagnostic fee of $149.95 (which my dashboard had already diagnosed), or given me some kind of loyal customer discount to at least try to repair customer satisfaction. Instead, they maximized their profits and offered nothing except a written apology and a signature saying I turned down a scam warranty at purchase - we all know that those warranty's cover everything except what actually goes wrong. I can only infer that the service manager is out of her depth in her leadership position because of her frankly pathetic and arrogant customer service capabilities. I gave her two opportunities to remedy the situation and she failed to offer any kind of compensation even though I told her I would be seeking legal advice, filing a report with the State Consumer Protection Agency, Federal Trade Commission, State's Attorney General, and the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Autoline in addition to speaking with my journalist colleagues, and posting on social media warning the public against buying faulty vehicles from McGovern Ford. I have never been one to go after a company, but I feel it is a civic duty to warn others to stay away and take their business elsewhere.

Excellent Service!!!

Anyone looking for a vehicle,new or used, you need to go to the Mcgovern Ford in Lowell! The employees are very professional and knowledgeable of their inventory and everyone is so friendly. The gentleman that worked with me was Rob Keenan. Besides being very professional and knowledgeable he was interested in my needs and did NOT push me into buying more expensive vehicles. Rob showed me his complete attention and took his time with me even though it was very busy their. I have not met a more honest professional salesman. Rob set up my bluetooth and other technical stuff to my vehicle without me even asking him. When it was time to pick up my new car, I couldn't because I had no ride to the dealership. Rob said"No Problem" He and another salesman would drive it to me! I just want to thank everyone at McGovern Ford,especially Rob Keenan for going way above and beyond what I expected. Customer satisfaction is obviously a priory.

Loved the service! Would come back for my next car

I worked with the salesman Robert Keenan, Chan in finance, and Gail in registration. They were all stellar to work with and very helpful. Gail even stayed late to make sure I could leave that day with my new car after I fumbled something with insurance. 10/10 would recommend to a friend!

Exceptional Customer Service

I had a fantastic experience with the team at McGovern Ford. Everything was done in a timely manner and I was able to drive off the lot with a new car that I love. I worked with Robert Keenan, my sales consultant, to find a car that met all of my needs; I gave a list of features I was looking for in a car and he was able to find one that had everything on the list and more--for a great price! He and his team (Sambo, Scott, and Chan) worked tirelessly to get me approved for a great APR and low monthly payment. I am immensely grateful for their dedication to make my experience enjoyable and effortless while exceeding my expectations. The staff was friendly, inviting, and helpful during the entire process. When I wasn't approved for the first car I found, they found a newer, better one for an even lower rate. I have never seen a car dealership take such initiative to make sure I had a positive experience, and it is clear that customer satisfaction is their top priority. This is the first time I have had such a positive experience at a car dealership and will certainly be recommending this location to everyone!
