Whole experience was good except I waited over 90 minutes...

Whole experience was good except I waited over 90 minutes to sign papers to buy vehicle when I had an appointment at 10am. Apparently two appointments were scheduled at the same time. I would have been happy to come later or earlier if this was communicated to me. Not good customer service.

Take my car in, first attempt at repairs takes a week and...

Take my car in, first attempt at repairs takes a week and lasts 10 miles. Second attempt takes nearly a month and when I get the car back there is an obvious dent in the fender. First response is "It will buff out" - mind you this is a dent and not a scratch. For background I have been dealing with them for 15 years and they have a really bad attitude towards customers now.

Disappointed

I went to pick up my car today after a month and first of all the service manager locked up my credit card by trying to charge 100 times the actual bill, then I went to get the car and noticed a new dent in the fender which I brought to his attention - his answer "That can be buffed out" - not sure I ever heard of buffing out an actual dent. After that I told him they would pay for the repair and I was told flatly they would not pay for it. Despite being a repeat customer I was told by the manager to get out and they did not want my business. Very rude. Finally, the air pressure in the new tires they mounted at the beginning of all this was down to 17 PSI when I left. All in all a horrible experience.

Great overall experience

Great place, friendly staff and my salesperson Elizabeth was wonderful. They had a great selection of trucks to choose from. Thanks to all involved. Merry Christmas

Very happy with my new truck. Wiscasett Ford was very fast very helpful. Have bought my last 2 vehicles there. Only thing they could work on is the service department. Sales has been awesome!!

False description!!!

picked a vehicle on line. in the description it said it had heated front seats. after traveling 20 miles to our credit union to pick up the check, and 80 miles to the dealership my wife asked how the heated seats worked We were informed it did not have heated seats that it was a mistake their internet people made and it would be corrected. no attempt to negotiate a fix to their misleading description. Before we left the Manager told us the mistake had been fixed and "heated seats " had been removed. 5 hours latter I went on Line to see their description still stated the car we were buying still had heated seats......A total scam!!!~

Sales Manager has poor customer service

We leased a vehicle from Wiscasset Ford 3 years ago and had a good experience. We just completed the end of lease and decided to buy out our lease as it was the right option for us at the time. The saleswoman was helpful and presented an alternative option that just wasn't where we needed to be. We provided our own financing for the buy out and proceeded to wait for the paperwork to be complete. When a good amount of time passed and our state inspection was complete I decided to ask one of the managers where our paperwork was in the process as our salewoman had to leave. His tone was rude and provided an "I dont know" answer and wasn't able to pull himself away from his screen to provide us with an update. He made a couple more rude comments that weren't appreciated by my wife and I. I later found out the individual I dealt with was the sales manager named Andy. We had a good experience with the finance employee to finish signing paperwork.

Wiscasset Ford Maine

Wonderful experience. I usually feel upset and anxious when I buy a car, but not this time. The day after I bought the car, I got news of a family death and wanted to leave for NY ASAP. They got me right in to have some ?we owe you? work done and got me out just as fast. I traveled an hour to buy my car there and it was worth every mile.

Love my car - Dealership Meh

We purchased a used 2017 Ford Explorer that we love at Wiscasset Ford in the end June 2020. We knew the vehicles we were interested in seeing and found one that we were pleased with. We had our own financing so this was a quick process. Our fault completely for not requesting to read the CarFax report but they told us it had a minor repair - this vehicle has had a major repair in the front passenger side. The salesman took the vehicle to " get some gas" $10 worth on a $30K purchase was not impressive. While out to get the gas, the drivers door entry key pad "fell off" and was hanging off the vehicle. It was raining, and the salesman taped this on with scotch tape from his desk, no comment of apology that this has happened on a vehicle we have literally just signed for and have not even driven off the lot yet! After a week I call to see if the part has arrived to find that it has been sitting in the parts department for 4 days, then the day before my scheduled service appointment the parts department called and left me a message that if I do not have the part installed soon they are going to return it. Miscommunication, poor service, and flat our dishonestly.
