Lithia Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram FIAT of Helena

Based on prior bad experiences at both lithia dealerships in helena Montana, as well as one in Missoula, we would never take a vehicle there....but it was warranty work so we sort of had to. Took our 2019 cherokee trailhawk in because the passenger side was getting cold air straight from outside blowing on the floor area. All the other heat was fine. Was blowing cold while driving, even with the fan shut off. Lithia told my wife that it is a plugged heater core and she would need to have a sudden flush done and warranty doesn't cover that because it's " maintenance" I called BS, and spoke to the service manager, who told me that the warranty would cover it after all. I explained to him that there is no place in the physics of this universe where this could possibly be a bad heater core. He then, through his mechanic claimed that the heater for can be plugged up in just the one little corner where the right side floor zone gets its heat...this is absolutely not true.That's not how these systems work. I was tempted to let them just give us a new heater core for free, but it meant we would be without our car for an upcoming trip.(The disgusting thing is he claimed that he had seen and repaired this issue at least 4 other times in the past month or two) I took the car home, got upside down on the passengers side, turned the heater on full and followed the cold air to the source. The REAL problem was a small cover had popped off of the cabin air filter. Ten minute find and fix. Not the hundreds of dollars lithia originally wanted to charge us or the warranty company. There is no universe where an actual trained, certified mechanic can make this " mistake". It's hard to logically conclude that it's anything but deliberate fraud...if not by lithia, then by this person who got a job claiming to be a certified mechanic.

No respect for the interior or exterior of other people's cars and or trucks, oil change on my truck and there's oil chunks on the floorboard smears on my carpet, the only thing they didn't do was what I asked and not to get oil on my new leather seats they just got it everywhere else. Not the first time this has happened.

I left my vehicle for an entire day, and they did not perform the repairs that it was scheduled for. The customer service people in the service department are very rude and not helpful.

Service was done on time , truck was clean when I picked it up service rep was very friendly and pleasure to work with
