Car Purchase Nightmare; GIA stole my car; NO Trust

5/19/21 - Paid GIA almost $11,000 to purchase a 2011 Nissan Maxima with credit card and check. Paid in full for the vehicle. Was promised $200 worth of repairs would be done and parts ordered. After paying I found one part in the trunk and told them the part was in the trunk. Another part was ordered incorrectly but they installed it anyways. It tore off bottom of car. Asked them to order and install correct part, they refused. So I disputed the $200 for the repairs. American Express inadvertently disputed the wrong amount but they fixed it b/c I called them after I found out. Instead of GIA allowing the dispute process to play thru they stole the vehicle off my driveway and called it a 'Repossession'. How can a car be repo'ed when it is paid in full? I found the stolen car hidden at the back of their car lot. The battery cables were disconnected and someone rummage thru all of my personal belongings. While on site, called Forsyth County Sheriff's department but they said it was a civil matter and I had to go to court since GIA never filed the paperwork to transfer title to me so the title was still in their name. Since then, GIA wanted me to pay $699 as a Repo Fee to return the vehicle to me. Told them NO. At this point they still have nearly $7,000 of mines plus the car but they refunded amount I paid on credit card. So they are holding my remaining money hostage. As a result I filed a civil lawsuit versus GIA at Forsyth County Magistrate Court for the illegal repossession of my vehicle which is theft since there were no loans on the vehicle, for the remaining balance of my money they are holding hostage, and for all of my attorney fees. 3 mos later, while waiting to go to court, GIA sold the vehicle for the same amount I paid. If you have been wrong by GIA and they refuse to do right, you have to file a legal suit versus them to get them to do right. Otherwise, they will bully you and strong arm you to do what they want versus what is in the best interest of all parties to make everyone feel as if they won something during the transaction. We are in process of my suit versus them. I'm praying for a positive favorable outcome. *GIA will respond and say I asked for gas money and was rude. But everything I've wrote is based on facts, activities that happened btwn myself and GIA, plus the 23+ pages of the contract/bill of sale that was used for me to purchase the vehicle.

Our long car search is finally over!

Our buying experience with Georgia Import Auto was seamless. Sales Agent, Vernon Love showed us exemplary customer service. He was very professional and easy to communicate with on the phone and in person. I can honestly say he made our car buying experience enjoyable. I will definitely recommend this dealership to others. This dealership has great pre-owned car unlike others we have visited.

Can not be trusted

Buyer Beware! Zero stars would be more appropriate. I wish I would have done my research before we went here to purchase a car for my daughter. I thought we had a good and easy buying process with the salesman. He was quick to let us test drive anything we wanted and immediately showed us the Carfax. We were made aware that the vehicle had been in an accident and the airbags deployed but that it all had been "fixed". Furthermore, he told us they are a full service mechanic and the car had no problems as they are check out before selling. I asked if this car would be safe enough putting his daughter in and he responded yes. Fast forward a day- I notice the airbag light on. That concerned me because I want my daughter to have an airbag. I took it to Mazda and they looked it over. It took them 2 days to get a good grip on everything that was wrong with the car. Basically, we paid $8000 (including taxes) and it needed $6000 worth of work to make it a "safe" car. At any point things were about to break and leave her stranded AND the airbag did not work. We called the salesman and he referred us to someone else. That man then referred us back to the salesman saying "he didn't know what the salesman told us". The salesman said he'd follow-up and we heard nothing so we physically went back to the dealership and handed them the list of repairs needed from Mazda. The folks working acted like they didn't know what to do so the salesman called the owner who said to circle anything we wanted fixed. We circled everything. The salesman even told us that knowing what was wrong with it, he now wouldn't put his own daughter in it. We were told either they would fix the car or give us a refund. After a week of playing not hearing what they would fix, I emailed the General Manager. She said she'd look into it and get back to me. We heard NOTHING. Finally, we just needed to get my daughter a car and had no faith that they would make this right, so we traded the car in. We had to throw away $5000 because we couldn't get much for the car. This is so incredibly disappointing that this business would risk the lives of their buyer AND their communication was absolutely deplorable. Do NOT, I repeat Do NOT do business with them. I fully expect them to respond "we said we would fix it". However, they never said what they would fix, or even call us back about it.

We appreciate feedback but when it its fake it needs to be ignored. The owner does NOT deal with sales. With over 300 cars on the lot it is not possible to serve everyone right away. Specially during busy times. As always, we take care of customers with appointments first. If you didn't have an appointment and the sales person was busy with an appointment you will have to wait. We are sorry, this is how it works everywhere. You have to patiently wait for your turn. THANKS

Don't Buy; Customer No Service; Ali lies

5/25/21 - If I could rate this entire organization a BIG FAT 0 - Zero, I would. I will NEVER purchase another vehicle nor refer my friends/family members / co-workers / neighbors from Ali (fast talking salesperson from NY), Erin (GM that allows her salespeople to talk to paying customers anyway they want), head mechanic (that admitted something to me but when asked about it by the GM, lied to her to cover his butt), an owner (that hid behind his phone and would not talk with me directly about my concerns) and an organization (as a whole that didn't deliver a car in quality workmanship condition; see attached photos) that provides no high level of customer service. To resolve some of the problem, I asked for a refund of the extra $200 I paid for certain repairs to be done upon delivery of the vehicle and they would never have to worry about dealing with us again. They were not willing to refund the extra $200 we paid and they made it clear to me that they didn't care about me as a paying customer and refused to order the correct parts to fit the vehicle properly (see attached photos), They wanted to put the wrong damaged part back on the vehicle using the twist ties that I used to secure it to the bottom of the vehicle because it came off while I was driving the vehicle. My wife and I was out on a date with some friends. I had to use these twist ties from a store to secure the part back to the bottom of the vehicle so I could safely drive home and drive it back to them. I can only image if the parts came off while my wife was driving the vehicle by herself and if the parts got stuck in the tires, axle, or whatever to cause the car to skid out or flip. Unbelievable a company would put someone, anyone in danger like this. I left so upset and shaken by this level of complete customer NO service. I immediately called American Express, which I've carried their card for the past 12 years, and disputed only $200 out of the few thousands of dollars that we put on the card. Like I told the Rep, all we asked for was the repairs to be done correctly so the car could be delivered to us in a good workmanlike condition or a refund of the extra money $200 we paid for services that were not rendered correctly. I told the rep that I do not feel safe returning vehicle to this company to fix items. It's a safety concern for us now. American Express Rep submitted my dispute for processing. Thx U #AmericanExpress for taking care of us. Pros * As a b-day present to myself, on my birthday, I was able to buy a 2011 Nissan Maxima SV in the price range I wanted. However, I was not able to take it home on my birthday. * Vernon was nice, inviting, helpful, and very service oriented to assist us so we could test drive the car and take it to get it inspected at Nalley Nissan of Cumming. * Ali's wife and assistant, was very kind and provided necessary information as she found out. Cons * Ali was late for our very first 9:30 am appointment for me and my wife to test drive the vehicle. Thankfully, another salesperson, Vernon, was available, VERY helpful and assisted us by moving another vehicle that blocked the Maxima in. * W/O metro ATL traffic, we live about an hour from GA Import Auto. Ali was consistently late for our appointments. Since it became so repetitive and routine, I made the joke "Ali is working on Ali Time which is about 30-45 mins late." Someone w/i their office laughed. So, I knew that this must be the norm. * Ali lied to me and provided false docs. Thu, May 20th, on my way to pickup the vehicle, he sent me a photo of the top corner of the invoice showing they were ordered on May 19th. He told me they were ordered yesterday and the pic was the invoice showing such, that he can't control if something happens to the delivery driver, and suggested that it was OK for me to go pickup and deliver them to the shop. So, I called KSI Auto Parts and spoke with a lady. She stated that was NOT the invoice for my car and the parts were

It is simply not possible to satisfy all customers. Specially if the customer starts asking for gas money since they had to drive the vehicle for repairs. We have not dealt with this level of ignorance in our life. Since you have disputed the transaction with your credit card company go ahead and bring the car back. We will check everything and return your money. You are welcome to take your business elsewhere.

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CROOKS...

This dealership is crooks..they got cars packed on this small lot and the vehicles are way overpriced..they charge these fees and tell you there giving you a discount but by the time they finish you never got any kind of discount..I bought a Ford Focus and it was literally junk...I took it to the Ford dealership and the salesman told me flat out it's junk..Phillip was my salesperson and he lies and says you get a 30 day extended warranty but that crap ain't worth the paper it's written on it don't cover anything the car needs...not trying to tell anyone how to spend there money but take this fools advise NO NO NO NO NO!!! Warning comes before destruction..if you buy from these crooks you will have destruction with those over priced Copart restored garage vehicles..Copart is where a vehicle was total out by the insurance company and they call there self restoring them... If you have ever been to our dealership you would know it is NOT a small lot. Please get your place right. We are not Georgia Auto Imports. Unfortunately this new dealership opened last year and used a name very close to ours and is causing a headache. We are GEORGIA IMPORT AUTO. Have been in business for 13+ Years. This other dealership is GEORGIA AUTO IMPORTS Just opened up last year.

Scammers! Covered up a major lemon

We bought a 2010 Honda last month for a little over $8000. We were a little nervous about the amount of paperwork there was stating that the car was as-is and that the moment we leave the lot, its our problem. But I assumed it was just normal legal protection, in case something was wrong that they didn't know about... Within 2 days, the check engine light came on and the car started running rough. We checked and it Was a cylinder 3 misfire. So, we replaced the spark plug and coil pack and hoped for the best. 3 days later, same code and the new spark plug is fried. We read into it and was told to replace all spark plugs and coil packs and hopefully that would fix it. $600 later, the code pops again, along with cylinder 4. We finally bring it to Honda and find out that 3 weeks after buying this car for $8000, we're going to have to spend over $4,000 to replace bent pistons and pretty much have the motor rebuilt. Honda is certain that the car dealer was aware of this and just changed out the spark plug to make it run well enough to get through a test drive and trick someone into buying it.

Very pleasantly surprised with how little pressure I experienced buying a car today, plus the prices were unbeatable.
