Found a car I was interested in and called the dealership
Found a car I was interested in and called the dealership to inquire about getting it registered and making sure it had all of the features I was looking for. I was coming from 4 hours away and I wanted to leave with a car. I filled out a credit application to make sure I would get approval. I was pre approved but they would not run for approval until was at the dealership the salesman, Khalid assured me that I would be approved and he would make it worth the drive. I drove there and had an appointment time and had to wait to meet with Khalid. I had to fill out the credit application again because he said my employer was not on the application. (I had already been given pre approval, so they already had my employment). He came back with an approval telling me the payment and it was way out of my price range. At no time did he discuss the cost of the vehicle. The sticker price was $18998. When I asked to look at the worksheet there was almost $10000 in fees. The tax, DMV and doc fee I understand. He could not tell me what the PDSI was for. I also told him I was not interested in the warranty because $4000 was not worth the 40,000 miles it would cover. I asked him to remove it. When he returned from the finance office he told me he could not remove the warranty because he would not make enough money on the deal. At that point I do not think he had made any honest statements and asked for the keys to my vehicle so I could leave. I left without asking for my deposit back and texted him. Khalid stated they were closed and it would need to be refunded on Monday. I heard from Rich asking how he could make the deal Happen and I told him that I was not coming back there that my time was wasted and Khalid was not honest about the price of the car. I asked again for my deposit. He said it would be refunded to my card. I asked for a receipt to be sent to me to show the money had been refunded. I called everyday and Rich said he submitted the request and it should have been taken care of. I again requested the receipt. I was sent the receipt this evening THURSDAY. THE REFUND WAS DONE AFTER BUSINESS HOURS TODAY. This is unacceptable. This is not a way to run a business. DON NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE THEY ARE LIARS AND WILL TRY TO TAKE YOUR MONEY.
