Frauds

This place will absolutely RIP YOU OFF. First off, the salesperson was completely unknowledgeable about the vehicle I was interested in. I was charged nearly $2,000 more than the price listed on AutoTrader. Also, the two year warranty that was supposed to be included, nah, they charge $3,000 for that crap. The finance person rushes you through the paperwork intentionally to hide these things. A car that was supposed to be sold for a little under $25,000 I ended up paying north of $32,000. I have opened a case against them with the consumer protection bureau with the state of Georgia. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!

Terrible management and awful customer service.

Terrible management and awful customer service. Dealing with this dealership has left me in tears and has scared me from dealing with any other dealership. Do not go here and if you still decide to, do not deal with Lionel he does not know how to speak to people especially women.

I am very disappointed

I would like to say that I had a bad experience with this dealership about a 2018 Mercedes-Benz when I brought it I had a little dent in the passenger side and they have to put a tie on it on the back side well they put the car in the shop when it came back I had already had put $45 worth of gas when I came back look like somebody tried to break it into the car he said that he will put a little glue on it and he did fix that I noticed when I opened up the car the car had a lot of mud on it I look back at the wheels and it was bent look like someone had told and I told the guy named Greg I also told the guy named Chad they told Oma the manager and he fell to say that he is not going to do anything to the car now notice the car it happened in their possession I have not brought the car home they have kept the car about 8 or 9 days and then they kept the car twice someone went and messed up the car and then he going to give it back to me and the low being light was on and it wasn't on when I bought it we test drive the car but nothing wrong with the car this happened in that position now I have to take legal matter to get my money back they wouldn't even try to even give me another car so I do not advise people to go to this dealership you have to be very careful thank you so much

Brought a car from this dealership in May 2022.

Brought a car from this dealership in May 2022. After test driving the car I noticed a very bad right front supresion problem, the front strut was bad. It was changed out. However, also noticed paint peel on the left front fender. Was infor they would take care of this. Was given a open work owed report. As of today this has not been completed. After multiple calls and going back to see the sales manger Lionel Amachree, he has refused to follow-up on this problem. Unreliable service follow-up after sale of vehicle. The sale staff has no integrity or honesty. Would not recommend.

CHECK IF THEY HAVE LEGIT TITLE FOR THE CAR

I HAVE A CAR THAT I ACTUALLY DO NOT HAVE FOR WHICH I PAID TWO MONTHS AGO. THINK!! Let me tell you at the outset the customer service and sales staff is good in their personal capacity but god forbid if you get in a situation where you need cooperation from their top boss for their mistakes/mess ups, you will run out of luck and support, I promise.. I advise you to ask for an evidence/document/title of the car you purchase from Automax. It may happen that they do not have it or there are issues that need to be sorted out to transfer the title in your name. Once a car is sold, you are on your own even if it is not your mistake. I bought a car from Automax Atlanta about 2 months before. I did not get the title even after close to 2 months.. For some reason they did not have the title and therefore, tag office did not allow for the transfer. Closer to the first expiration, they reached out to me asking me to go the tag office and seek one more extension of the temporary license plate while they are getting 'some' documents sorted out. I cooperated and did as was suggested out of good-will. Since you can get only one extension on your temporary plate, I reached out asking do something about the title as it got closer to the second extension expiry and I had a lot of things planned that required me to have a drivable/legit car. The responses I got started getting unfriendly and unprofessional as it got closer to the second and last expiry. I asked if I can get a replacement or rental car expense reimbursed for the time I am not able to drive the purchased car due to Atlanta Automax's mistakes, ignorance and poor work ethic. I was needing a car badly due to my personal situation(s) (School, office, driving out side the state for booked vacation using car). I met with the top boss (Omar) and tried to explain my situation to get a commitment as to when he is going to get me the title and license plate?? I got no re-assurance, commitment nor any support (as simple as paying for rental car until he gets me the tag OR at least get me the tag, title and license plate before it expires for the final time). SO I HAVE A CAR THAT I ACTUALLY DO NOT HAVE FOR WHICH I PAID TWO MONTHS AGO. THINK!!

Be very very careful if you buy from Automax

I did a ton of research before purchasing and was very scared by Automax Atlanta's Yelp and other online reviews . So I was careful. I got a pre-inspection, photos of car and computer (Tesla) display of what was included, mileage, battery capacity, etc. I was ready for a terrible experience, but my buying experience was actually wonderful. Salesperson was fantastic. Unfortunately, the owners don't back up their salespeople. Read the online reviews and proceed with caution. They will sell you an expensive car and then lie and fight to the death over little details. And you won't get your paperwork before the temporary license expires. I was shown my car at dealership and all the parts and accessories that were included. I asked for one more accessory and even saw that accessory being tossed into my trunk. And saw that accessory being added to my paperwork by the finance guy. But somewhere between my inspection and signing the paperwork and driving away, all my accessories were removed from my car. When I wrote to them about this, I was promised replacements. Never happened. Lots of texts and emails and just plain bad business. Extremely shortsighted as they had a VERY surprisingly happy customer and ruined it with silly tricks and lies. So beware! Read the reviews and get everything in writing if you decide to risk it.

Buyers beware.

Buyers beware. I hope this review will save someone from the nightmare that I am currently going through. I was sold a vehicle a couple of weeks ago and I will say dj was a outstanding guy, but that is the only good thing I have to say. The service engine light came on not long after I bought the car which I took to the mechanic. I then found out an oiled air filter was put into the vehicle, which is not compatible and the vehicle that I just paid $30,000 for is now messed up because of it and the warranty will not cover it because it was due to negligence on someone elses behalf. They will NOT give me a report to what all was done to the car after it got into their possession, which is very sketchy. The only answer I get is it is in the internal system and even the gm will not give me the automax report. YES I know it was an as is car but I'm pretty sure the tires they kept on it when they sold it to me was illegal. I found out they were bad because I had one blow out, which could have killed me and it made me late to my job. I also found out all the other tires were bad and need to be replaced as well as the brakes, and I had made a mistake by trusting them with their "safety inspection". When I talked to them about the tires they came up with some excuse that they knew the tires were bald but they used the money that was for the tires to get the decals removed which they would have had to remove anyway because they were half torn off. I finally got my dream car and it's been nothing but a heartache, disappointment, and huge financial burden, and it will forever teach me to not trust a businesses word. I am going to have to put about $3,000 in repairs into this car and I've not even had it for 30 days and they won't give me any of their own records of what was done to the car, just the carfax, or help me in any way and the general manager was very rude. Please do not go with this sketchy dealer. They only care about your money and they don't care about anything else, even your life. I'm in the hole financially now and it's too late for me, but if this review helps at least one person steer clear of this place then that is a blessing enough to me to know I helped someone not go down this same path and xxxx that I am going through. I'd give 0 stars if I could.
