I was thoroughly impressed with the dealership right from the start. Upon my arrival, the car that I had asked about a few days prior was already out front with a reserved sign featuring my surname on the windshield. The exceptional service continued with a straightforward and very clear purchasing experience. I was able to drive away in my new Ford on the very same day I visited!

After telling them I wanted to buy a truck and wanted to put money down to hold it for me, they didn't get back to me for 2 days until then I called them. Only to have them blame me. Then they call me three hours later to say someone is buying the vehicle,Sorry. Bad business ethics and follow up here.

A few weeks ago I reached out to this dealer about a few

A few weeks ago I reached out to this dealer about a few trucks I was interested in. Those trucks didn’t work out. I was very upfront that I was not local, my work schedule doesn’t provide much flexibility to drive there and requested to get as much done over the phone and through email as possible before finding the time to get there. Much of this was a back and forth with no real solution. Regardless eventually I found a vehicle at one of there other dealerships under their umbrella and asked if it was possible to for them to bring that vehicle down to their dealership (knowing that it was a big ask) as it was 2 hours closer than where the vehicle was. They were accommodating as long as I came in to complete paperwork before they even brought the vehicle down to which I declined. I was then told they have to see if the truck was still available. A little while later I was told it was no longer available. I then called the dealer up north myself, and confirmed that the truck was in fact still availavlble, then emailed the sales person who lied to me and never checked if the truck was and and declined to do anything further with them. I then received a call from the manager saying that he would have someone go get the truck on Monday (this was a Saturday) if I can come Tuesday to see it. I should have declined but I agreed to that and made an appointment cause I was really interested in the truck. Anyway, Monday I got a text to confirm that I was coming Tuesday. Tuesday morning I got a text to confirm I was coming that afternoon. I confirmed. I drove an hour to the dealership, and when I got there, there was no truck. At the time it wasn’t clear if they “forgot” or just didn’t do it but the truck wasn’t there. (Later realizing it was just there tactic to get me in there). Now with their last stitch lying effort I was told by the manager that they would drive the truck down to my house for me to look at it…..ok. Next day I get a call that his driver is there now but there is a problem and the check engine light was on they are trying to figure it out. I called a couple hours later and the manager “hasn’t heard anything I’ll call you back in 2 minutes let me call them.” (It is now 3 weeks later I have still yet to recieve that call). The next day I got a text from another sales person asking me if I was interested in these other trucks that they had available like nothing had happened…I declined to pursue anything further with them after this whole debacle lying waste of my time. I then looked on the website for the dealer up north and the truck I wanted was gone. I called them just to see and it had been sold that day it never had an issue, just confirming that they never intended to go get it or find a way for me to see it or do anything that they said they were gonna do. I texted them asking if they knew it was sold the whole time or why they couldn’t just tell me the truth, they never answered. They will do whatever they can to get you there and just lie to you and string you along. Go somewhere else save your time and the headache.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I write a review when

I don’t usually write reviews, but I write a review when my experience has been exceptional. Sometimes its exceptionally bad, but other times, like this experience, are exceptionally great. I walk into all dealerships with my guard up ready to be pressured to no end to buy “the car I can not survive without.” I walked into this dealership with the same expectations of high-pressure sales dealers. I walked into this dealership not interested in either car that I was going to request a test drive in. My goal was to see which car I was going to continue searching for elsewhere. I was politely greeted by the sales manager, Ken, and introduced me to our salesperson Mitchell Oakley. Mitchell was very courteous and professional the entire time. I told him that I wanted to test drive two cars and there were no issues with that request. He walked away for a few minutes and I was expecting him to come back and tell me some ‘bait and switch’ story, which was fine since I was not really interested in any of the cars they had in their lot, so pressure for me. Instead, he came back to tell me both cars were ready and asked which I wanted to drive first. After both test drives, I explained that there were other cars that I would be test driving at other dealerships that afternoon. I assume he was a bit disappointed that he had spent all that time with me and I wouldn’t be purchasing one of his cars, even though I was really impressed with an Explorer Platinum. But he continued to be professional and asked if he could show me the out the door price, which surprised me at the deal they gave me. Ken comes over, and I’m thinking, “here we go, bring on the high pressure so I can get out of here and continue my test drives.” The sales manager, Ken asked if I would like to hear how much better the Explorer was than the other cars and how much I needed this car to live my best life ever? I said, nope, heard it all before. He said, “Good, cause I wasn’t going to tell you any of that.” That surprised me quite a bit and began to put me at ease to consider their car. After a bit of conversation, I told him that, if I was allowed to take this car to my mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection (about an hour away), that I would seriously consider their vehicle. Ken quickly agreed and commended me for being so thorough for such a big purchase. Ultimately, it was the drive to my mechanic and back that made me fall in love with the car. I decided on the way back to the dealership that I would be purchasing that car. The reason for that, besides loving the car, was because of the no-pressure sales. I didn’t love the color, but because they were so professional, polite, and down to earth, I wanted to spend my hard-earned money at Romeo Ford. Even the financial guy, Dustin Fogleman, where you get offered all the nitrous-filled tires options and extended warranties, didn’t offer nitrous-filled tires! I knew then, that I was dealing with a reputable dealership that really wants to make lifetime customers by being honest and straight forward. I even didn’t realize I had overpaid (I had already made a cashier’s check), but Dustin noticed right away and is sending me a check for the amount I overpaid. Even after the sale, Mitchell has answered all my questions when I text him and has been very helpful. Kudos to Mitchell for still talking to me after I’ve driving away with my new-to-me car! Yes, I would recommend Romeo Ford to anyone interested in not being taken for a ride.
