Good experience at Bob Maxey

I recently purchased a Used 2018 car from Bob Maxey Ford and had a great experience. I have been looking around for a vehicle for a couple of weeks and was on a very tight budget. I began working with Michael Cain to see if the car I saw online was even an option for me. He was very helpful and worked hard to get the pricing to a place where I was comfortable. I didn't feel pressured to add on things I didn't want or go outside the terms we talked about. He was flexible with his hours and ways of communicating since my work shift prevented me from being available. He offered ways to make the process of buying quick & easy and answered all my questions, even helping me link my phone to the car in the end. The rest of the staff at the dealership were very friendly and I enjoyed chatting with them as I waited for my paperwork. I found the overall experience wonderful and would recommend buying from Michael anytime you find yourself at the Bob Maxey dealership in Howell.

I like buying local!

My family and I have been buying & leasing vehicles from Dennis for almost 30 yrs. No pressure sales! Sale's process was quick! I would buy/lease from him again!

Buying was an easy no pressure experience.

It took about an hour to complete the buying process at Bob Maxey. The personnel were knowledgable and informative. I will buy from them again. Service department is excellent as well.

Great Customer Service

I recently took my 2013 Ford Focus in for an oil change and wheel alignment and also to remove a hanging portion of the exhaust heat shield from the undercarriage. The work was done promptely and correctly. Further, although I declined to have the damaged heat shield replaced (car is old and has a lot of miles and so I could not justify the cost for a non-essential repair) the service personnel still removed the dangling damaged shield free of charge and did not try to up sell me on what was essentially an unnecessary repair by replacing the shield. I have bought three cars from Bob Maxey Ford of Howell, including my Focus and I have had nothing but great customer service from both their Sales and Service departments. A very satisfied customer.

What do you want

Got called in by my Salesperson, J Olrich, as there were great deals on F-150's. Told her what I wanted and the color to match my Cap from the last 2 F-150's. Jenny couldn't find one so she went higher to a Mgr who knew someone at Village Ford in West Dearborn. I got a call 2 hours later to tell me my Truck was there. I am particular in my vehicles and Maxey always, ALWAYS, meets the desire. Can't say enough about the Sales Staff and Service. Luckily I haven't needed the Body Shop but I am sure they will be the same. I have a Friend who gets his trucks from Fairlane Ford. He has the same unit as I have and gets 25,000 per year with a Box Cap. He is paying close to $590.00 a Month. Needless to say I want him to meet Jenny.

New Lease

Lease was up, so turned in & picked up the new one. Will Andrews was a pleasure to deal with & very helpful in explaining the changes on the new vehicle picked up.

Worst experience. Past loyal customers (purchased our previous 6 vehicles here) and sadly, will never return. Purchased a brand new 2019 mustang and after getting it home, within 24 hours of owning it, discovered that there was standing water on rear floor board (later found to be an A Pillar leak) - I was told by Mr Maxey that they would be “repairing and returning” my vehicle to me. Let me clarify- the vehicle was manufactured over a year prior meaning it’s leaked from a pillar every times it’s rained for a YEAR+ and has 80 miles on it and I owned it for 24 hours !! And the repair required removing counsel, all seats, a pillar panels the windshield the door panel, replace carpet and put all back together- - Not to mention they were completely skipping over the fact that there was STILL standing water between the metal on floor board and where it got under the first layer Nor were they addressing The fact that the airbag sensors and all the electrical components in modulars underneath the floor and seat we’re all sitting in standing water,( I have pictures of the water marks)... and this is a car in supposed to just let them tear apart and put back together - have for weeks all while I’m paying a car payment and insurance in a brand new vehicle that I can’t drive and has immediately depreciated value. It is my opinion that Mr Maxey did not handle or address the situation properly. He lost a very loyal customer not only due to what he didn’t do- but also the person he was being through the process. I’ve never experienced such poor conflict management or situational remediation at this level of business. disappointed, is an understatement and it’s unfortunate. I ended up having to take matters into my own hands and address this at the highest levels with Ford, on my own, to get what we should of been offered (& what I asked for from the beginning) - what we paid for- a NEW vehicle, free of issues!! I was able to do so with no help from Bob Maxey- and of my own accord. Sadly, upon pick up of the replacement You’d think that ANYONE from upper leadership or management would be inclined to come over and apologize or shake our hand and acknowledge our experience... or .. anything at all.... nope. We won’t be back and won’t recommend anyone else to go there either and that’s too bad, as we truly love our salesman. He’s always taken good care of us. We will be taking our business elsewhere.

Buying a car is never easy

I determined to do research until I found exactly what I wanted. I spend hours on line over the past 6 plus months and selected the Ford Fusion Hybrid because of the information I discovered in my research. It was a bit bigger that I wanted but that was not a deal breaker for me. I wanted a certified used car because I felt I could trust the information about it to be comprehensive and accurate. So I narrowed my search then by milage, whether a car had been in an accident, what it had been used for, how many owners it had had, and how old it was. The one with the most attractive history was from Bob Maxi Ford. The experience was easier than I expected as my contact did all he could to accommoate me. he even drove the car here for me to look over and test drive. Howell to Eastpoint is not a hop-skip and jump trip. So, I didn't have to drive all over God's creation to look for a car. I did it right here at my kitchen table. I've been driving the car now for a couple of weeks and I have to say, I love it. Thank you Bob Maxey for helping me.
