Great place, great people

Great experience at Toyota of Manhattan. It is fully staffed with so many friendly and helpful people, everyone there is looking out for you. Will Howard was my salesperson and he seamlessly shepherded me through the process of leasing a 2023 4Runner. I could tell he cared about getting me the car that I wanted, as fast and efficiently as possible. He was professional and friendly and got everything DONE. I'll definitely continue using Toyota of Manhattan in the future.

Best buying experience with my salesman Abraham

I recently had my car totaled and needed a new car. I came in to Toyota Of Manhattan not sure what to expect, but Abraham put me at ease. He was very knowledgeable, showed me the car and all its specifications, and made sure that it had everything that it said on the sticker. The car didn’t come with all weather floor liners in the car for some reason, but he made sure I got them as they were part of the sticker information. Thank you Abraham, work with him if you can! He’ll take care of you!

Worked with Bilal and Kevin primus general manager

I drove in to service my car at toyota. I was approached by a young gentleman named Bilal. Directed me and showed me around the dealership as I awaited my car to finished getting serviced by Jenny. In which Bilal helped me and showed me the potential savings I could save every month going from a Highlander gas to a highlander hybrid. Not only am I saving $50 a month on my lease but I’ll be saving hundreds of dollars on gas.

Disappointed

Sales experience seemed professional until near the end of the transaction I realized I was being offered a deal above what had been advertised. Now it’s been almost two months since I purchase my vehicle and still have not received my plates. I realize something there are delays in the process but the dealer refused to extend the temporary license plates. Their explanation was that is not something they do and law enforcement would understand. I have purchased many cars in the past and I know there is a better way to conduct business. I don’t plan on going back for my next car purchase or even servicing my car

Fraud

My experience with Toyota of Manhattan & their sales person & financing service was absolutely terrible. I went to Toyota of Manhattan on 04-23-2022 to buy a pre-own Rav4 & attented by salesman Jeudi Marte. I told him that I want a car with mileage between 10k to 20k because I want to use car for commercial purposes cause I am a T&LC driver. I had an approved loan from chase bank at 4% interest rate. He ( juedi marte) recommended me to buy a new car because he said the price of pre-owned are high & Toyota financing service can also provide me loan at 3% interest rate with no extra cost. I agreed with him & after that he checked my credit score & start completing documentation for new car. The day was Saturday & he took so much time to complete documents . At 8 pm he took me to the financing service to the gentlemen called (Fredi). I also trade in my Nissan Altima 2017 for $1000. Now Fredi who do the financing for Toyota of Manhattan said that You have to pay $4537 more as extra warranty,cause You are driving the vehicle commercially. But I said Fredi that I already told juedi marte that I want car for commercial use but then he didn’t mention any extra warranty. After that we called juedi marte & I asked juedi marte that why didn’t you tell me about this extra charge,I don’t want to buy car at this price. Then juedi marte replied that He has ordered number plates for new car & also took insurance policy. Then I said juedi marte that you should have to took me to financing service before taking number plates & insurance policy. Why didn’t you do so. After that juedi marte & Fredi discussed with each other & said that if you pay $11000 as a down payment then you don’t need to pay this extra warranty of $4537 & you can drive it commercial. But it was Saturday & time was about 8:30 pm so I can’t manage it at that time. But Fredi & juedi marte agreed that if I pay $11000 later on then they will not charge me $4537 of extra warranty. So with this promise I took the car home. Next week, I went to Toyota of Manhattan to pay $11000 as a down payment & met juedi marte & the manager of Toyota of Manhattan. But they said me that you need to call to financing service for this payment & they don’t let me to meet to Fredi. After then I call Toyota finance regarding this payment of $11000, but Toyota finance said they only take installments they have nothing to do with this payment & they told me to call financing service which approved the loan for car. After that I went to Toyota of Manhattan again & met manager of Toyota & he told me to come tomorrow to meet Fredi who do the finance. Then I went there next day & met juedi marte and tell him to meet me to Fredi & he brings me to Fredi office & tell me to wait outside & after then juedi marte talked something to Fredi and went away. After that I waited for 2 hours outside the Fredi office but he didn’t meet me & continue attending other customers. If I tried to talk to him he just ignored me. I even faced discrimination here. Then I told juedi marte that if nobody wants to listen to me then why you wasted my time but he didn’t respond. Then I came back home. Now I come to know that I was just trapped by Toyota of Manhattan & their financing service to reel the customer. This is the way I was robbed by Toyota of Manhattan. I am still ready to pay $11000 to get rid of extra warranty what Toyota committed to me. But Toyota of Manhattan don’t want to listen to me.

I was called xxx*ot and get the f*xx out

I was called a xxx*ot, get the f*xx out, and what is wrong with you by Valdimir Disla, Sales Manager, and Raymond Sino, Sales Associate, at Toyota of Manhattan. In May 2022, I paid a deposit for a RAV4 Prime XSE which should have arrived by end of May according to Raymond. The car didn’t arrive and he never returned any of my calls when I called to inquire. He took the money and lost touch. On June 18th, 2022, Raymond texts me saying the lower tier, SE, arrived and can be purchased. He also said that the XSE will arrive in months. I wish he had been honest about this from the beginning and not took a deposit. When I arrived to the dealership for the SE, he surprised me saying that he can only give it to me with the same price we agreed on for the XSE, which was close to 60K. I refuse and after a while he lowers the price to 54,500. I agreed. I had the check on the table later so he could see that I have the money. He insisted on using it and I insisted a number of times that he can only have it once I sign. He dismissed that and took it without even showing me a contract. I ask a different sales guy, Jeudi Marte, and he says that he sold a prime XSE for 52K this morning and that it was not on reserve (Raymond said that it was already sold when I arrived but that it not what Jeudi said, so he was trying to get me to buy the lower tier with a high amount of money to unethically profit off me). I told Raymond about the price Jeudi gave to a customer and ask for a 7K reduction in the total price or my check back. He tells his manager Valdimir, who says will bring me the check that was taken but talks with at least 3 people who work at the dealership on the way and takes his time to get my check, which Raymond took without my consent. They went to the office and I see Raymond, Valdimir, and Jeudi talking and Jeudi looks at me intensely/stared me down even when I looked away and back multiple times. When Valdimir gives me the check, he calls me a xxxxxx and tells me to get the xxxx out. Shockingly and in disbelief, I say did you just call me a xxxxxx? Then he tells me to get the xxxx out of his way. Then Raymond tells me what’s wrong with me after I was verbally attacked! After I leave, Raymond had the audacity to text me asking me if I still want to buy the car without an apology for the humiliation and disrespect I experienced. This is by far the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. I don’t often write reviews but this incident needs to be known and the Toyota dealership’s employees and leaders need to be held accountable for their discrimination, anti-human rights, aggression, and unethical sales practices.

FRAUD

I saw a car posted on the website of Toyota of Manhattan, the nearest Toyota dealer to my residence. I have owned Toyotas for years. When I saw a car of interest on their website, I made an appointment to see/purchase the car. The salesman Michael Burbridge-- different from the one who made the appointment, claiming that salesman wasn't available -- showed me a totally different car at a higher price. I told him that I had an appointment to see a different car, he said he couldn't find that car. I told him I was a victim of the illegal "bait and switch." The urgency to purchase a car, had me contact the supervisor Vladir Disla, who told me: the car I was looking for had been sold already. I pointed out that it was still being shown on the website. He said it was a technical error but he had another model which he would personally assist me with. I came back and was reassigned to the previous saleman Michael Burbridge. The price posted for the Toyota Certified Used Car a 2020 Corolla ws $22,400 by Vladimir Desla lowered it to $22,000. I bought the car paying in full. It came with only one key, and I was assured another would come in by two weeks. There was no owner's manual, so he gave me one for 2022. When I came back to have the new key programmed -- after the service department claimed no appointment had been made and it was Michael and Vladimir days off, I finally got the sale manager in residence Kevin Primus, who took care of it, and finally got someone to show me how to use the dashboard computer and the features on the car. It was then I realized I had never received the completed paperwork/bill for the car. Kevin Primus provided that. Imagine my shock when I looked at the billing price entered as :$23,995! I turned to Kevin, who said it was a matter for Vladimir Desla to deal with.
