Buyer Beware

BUYER BEWARE - GRAVITY AUTO DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR COMMITMENTS & IF YOU THINK THAT GRAVITY IS SAFE TO DEAL WITH BECAUSE OF BEING A MULTI-STORE CORPORATE DEALER, THAT IS NOT TRUE. I purchased a 2009 Audi A6 from Gravity Auto on September 26, 2016. Immediately after purchase, the engine light came on & numerous items were identified that needed repair. This included; oil gaskets, emissions control sensors, Front & Rear Brakes, Front and Rear Struts & Bushings and other miscellaneous maintenance repairs - total cost $3,500. Then, I found out that this Audi was burning oil at the rate of 1 quart every 100-125 miles driven. None of these items were noticeable visibly or during test drives. The car is not drivable and needs a Crank Case Replacement ($2,900) that will most likely not fix the oil consumption problems. If I did this repair, and it does not work, then the engine needs to be rebuilt or replaced (approximately $10,000). These repairs exceed the value of the car. It took me approximately 10-12 days of having the car in for repairs to determine the extent of the problems. I immediately notified the manager (Stanley ) and have been working with him since that time. I have talked with my salesmen (George & Igor) & Stanley since the car was purchased to reach some sort of resolution. Each have made numerous commitments to "help me" and that has not happened. I have been patient, worked with Stanley for 90 days & promises to resolve have not been kept. Stanley asked me to deal with him and not the salesmen. I was encouraged by his taking personal responsibility but then the excuses & delays started. Stanley explained that their management team was changing and that he needed time for his new GM (Sam) to be in place so that he could "get his attention" on this problem. So, after 90 days, I finally met with the new GM (Sam) on 12/30/16. Sam promised that he understood, wanted me to be a "happy customer" & that he wanted to "do the right thing". His suggestion was that I should pick another car out of his inventory & he would trade me out of the Audi A6. I have done as he suggested and his resolution is not acceptable. The short version is that the Audi A6 has depreciated over $7,000 since it was purchased & that I will lose over $10,000 on trading the car. His final suggestion was for me to drive the A6 for about 1 year and continue to put oil in it ever 100 miles, then try to trade again. Remember, I reported this problem within 12 days of purchase, so the depreciation matter should have been resolved 90 days ago! The car is not safe to drive and the engine may not last doing as Sam has suggested. The commitments made by my salesmen, desk manager & the GM have not been kept. Whether I fix the car, or trade it now, I will lose about $15,000. Also, I can't ethically sell the car to a private individual without reporting this problem, so I'm stuck with a car that can't reasonably be driven or repaired. I have asked for the person Sam reports to since Gravity Auto has multiple locations and there must be a corporate hierarchy to resolve such matters. These requests have been denied by stating "Sam is the final person". I have extensive notes & documentation that I will not provide here, but suffice it to say, that I am not pleased with Gravity Auto and am left with no further options other than to try and protect others from the same misfortune from any Gravity Auto Dealerships. BUYER BEWARE - GRAVITY AUTO DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR COMMITMENTS & IF YOU THINK THAT GRAVITY IS SAFE TO DEAL WITH BECAUSE OF BEING A MULTI-STORE CORPORATE DEALER, THAT IS NOT TRUE.

Great Salesman

It was a big tossup between Gravity and another dealership and I chose the other, so no prepurchase inspection done. However, Jeff Carlisle was very knowledgeable and friendly

Awesome Customer service

I must say the team at this dealership was awesome. I am big on customer service and follow up. My buying experience at Gravity Auto on Sandy springs was very pleasant. Every staff member that passed me by said hello, the staff stayed after hours to get it done and followed up with me a couple of days later. Now thats the kind of sales I like! Great job guys!!

Yes No

I hated the experience!

This dealership will nickel and dime you and tack on fees not necessary just to jack up the price. Be very careful! The car was filthy, plastic in the floor board that reads "dealer should only remove". I was gullible.

Great service

We saw a Lexus ES 350 that really appealed to us in an online ad and called the dealership. Jon Heard was helpful on the phone. When we visited the showroom, Jon and then Stanley welcomed us, answered all our questions, then sent us out to test drive the car. With low mileage and a very fair price, the car was just what we were looking for. We had a good experience with the help of Stanley and Jon. We drove the car home that afternoon.

BE AWARE OF "RUSTED VEHICLES' THEY ARE SELLING!

Purchased my Infiniti from them about a month ago, it was a very fair price and I have been wondering why am I such a lucky one to have found the dream car (my gut has been telling me that if there is such thing too good to be true, it must be). My mechanic looked at my new car few days ago and asked where the car originally from and I said from NJ based on the vehicle report. He immediately said: "Is a RUSTED VEHICLE". My heart sink and he inspected the engine to the bottom of the vehicle and are rusted all over. All the bolts, pipes from the bottom of the car are ALL FREAKING RUSTED and part of the engine as well. Living in the South, this is not something that is in my "common sense' or "should have known" book. And what does all RUSTED vehicle means? It means that it would cost me a lot of money for any repair down the road because the whole thing has to come off when repair bc bolt will not comes off. I feel like a sucker, and don't understand the integrity of this place and anyone that works there. JUST BE AWARE OF THEIR RUSTED VEHICLES YOU MIGHT BE BUYING.

Class Act !

I've been looking for a Mercedes GLK 350 for close to a year and when I saw the one I took home I was very skeptical about buying from anyone other than a MB dealer, and wasn't sure about making the 1 1/2 hour drive; but I'm so glad I did. Everyone was very friendly, professional, and helpful. Our experience was great from the moment we pulled in to take a look around, till the moment we left with a new SUV. Gravity Auto on Sandy Springs has there act together ! Everyone was super nice but I do have to say that Jeff Carlisle Rocks and I love my new ride ! The Compliance Officer LOL ! ?

Excellent customer service and prices

I had one of the most Pleasant and easy experiences in buying a car. The staff was very helpful and even stood after hours to wait on me awhile I was driving all the way from Florida to pick up my car. They have great prices and give more on the trade in. The process itself was very quick and no hassle. I had no pressure on buying a car which made me feel good and relaxed.

THE WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE

I want to say that the experience of buying the car was great. It was what happened after that was poor. I purchased a vehicle from this dealership and the sale went great. There was an issue with the vehicle a week into owning it that I called them to let them know. They told me to check with the manufacturer which I did and found there was an issue that caused my car to burn oil at a high rate. I let them know this and the manufacturer said it would cost about $1000 to get fixed because the car was over a certain mileage. I let them know and they told me sorry I should have bought a warranty. They offered to give me $200 but I had to come out of pocket $800 to get it fixed. Then I never got my license plate and am being told that I have to go and pick it up. So two months with a car and I have to pay money to get something fixed that they could have offered to pay or go halfway with, have to inconvenience me to have to drive to the tag office just to get my plates because they didnt do the paperwork right. Im going to say this. They do have nice cars but its the service after the sale that is bothersome to me. The customer service manager only spoke with me via email and never had the common courtesy to pick up the phone and talk to me. I personally can no longer do business with someone that is not willing to get on the phone and just apologize for the horrible level of service I have received after the sale. I am going to trade the car in because owning this car just reminds me of poor service and being that I deal in the healthcare industry. i dont want the bad vibes of poor service rubbing off on my clients. Gravity Auto gets an F in my book for after sales service. Totally disgusted with this dealership.
