DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE! THEY SOLD ME A DEATH TRAP
Dec 18, 2018, James Tatum, sold me a BMW 335, as one owner/no damage, no accident car. On January 3, 2018, the car almost killed my daughter, as she was driving, the car completely shut-down, the breaks went out, the gas cut off , she was stuck on a busy road, as the car started to be engulfed with smoke. The car had to be towed and after investigation this car is a salvaged car and not repairable. BMW was aware of this car and the issues. I was not sold a used car I was sold a "Death Trap" that should not have been for sale to anyone in the public. I contacted Cincinnati Automotive Group, and they placed the blame on Car Fax. They took no responsibility for the car and would not even given me the last names of the Managers of the dealership, they would only give me the first names of Aaron and Frank. The sales person I purchased the car from James Tatum, told me the car was a good car, he had been driving the car back and forth from his home in Cincinnati to work in Monroe. I explained to them, how my daughter was almost killed by this car, when it shut down without warning. They refused to talk to me or to resolve the issue. I will not stop until this is resolved, I am filing complaints with everyone, as this car is not repairable and should not be on the road.

Completely Unprofessional and Scamming
Just bought an SUV from the Monroe dealership (3 weeks ago). Checked everything we could and checked the Carfax. Took car for a test drive which went well. Decided on SUV on an as-is. Yes, I know what "as-is" means. We did so much homework on the car and others around and knew, from owning one just like it in the past, that we liked the SUV. The car drives well, but started dripping transmission fluid the next day. We took the SUV to a Honda dealership to get it looked at, thinking it would be $100-$200, they showed us the SUV on the racks. The bottom of the car was rusted out and had undercoating applied on top of the rust in an attempt to hide it. There were cracks in coils and throughout the bottom. It was said to cost us in the $5,000-$6,000 range to fix. They stated it would not be safe to drive long distances. My husband took the car back to the CIG dealership to discuss the issues and give back the car. He was upset, no doubt, so he had an "upset" voice. He spoke with Jesse who immediately started shouting and became immediately combative. My husband shouted back and was told they would call the police on him. Jesse told him that they "may have worked with him had he not been so combative". Jesse was the one who became combative, my husband just responded. Husband was told there was nothing they could do and that the car was sold to them already with the undercoating, which means they sold it knowing the condition of the car. This was not relayed to us prior. As my husband was leaving, he stated he would leave a bad review and was told that this "was a threat and we would be sued". Jesse also yelled to him, "how would you like me to come to your work and threaten you, xxxxxx?". Throughout the conversation, my husband lost count of the number of times, the f-word was said to him. We are both shocked. This is so not a professional place and we, since this experience, are more jaded. We are kind people who are honest with others. We are selling a car ourselves, but are disclosing the issues openly. This should be obvious good business practices for them as well. Please don't go here.

Thank you for your feedback, we do our best to present ourselves as a professional wholesale dealership that is open to the public. In order for consumers to make an informed and confident buying decision we offer for all our customers to get a third party pre-purchase inspection completed prior to the sale. In regards to Jesse's behavior, it would appear this wasn't the first incident lately that he's acted this way. The manner in which he handled the situation is unacceptable and by no means reflects the opinions of the company. As a result we have parted ways with Jesse. I know that we can't change the past and it may not help you now but, your feedback has helped us change so we can avoid things like this in the future. Thank you, Your Friends at Cincinnati Automotive Group
Employee tried to fight me! HA!
This review is specifically the Monroe location. Although the “general manager” supposedly at the Middletown location was too busy apparently to take our complaint serious. My wife and I went to look at a used cargo van for my business. I spoke with Jessie over the phone and let him know we would be there within the hour. We arrived around 15 minutes early. He stated he would have the snow off the vehicle and pull it up, which clearly did not do any of that. I go inside upon arrival and Matt states that Jessie is in the back, and proceeded to get me the key for the van. He handed it to me and says it’s in the back around the building.. while staying inside.. doesn’t ask for a license, nothing. Sends my wife and I to find out which van fit the key he handed me , which is thought was funny since they had 3 identical vans next to one another. With both of us almost falling half a dozen times walking to the back due to icy slippery conditions, we finally got to the van that the key fit. I had to start it and wait to defrost the windows due to ice and snow on the windows. We sat there in awe and almost comic that a “dealer”, I use that term extremely loosely, sends strangers to a vehicle to figure it out and do their job. I’ve purchased over two dozen vehicles minimum by the age of 30, and have never had such lousy customer service. It got worse, quickly. After waiting 5-10 minutes to defrost, because I didn’t want to walk back and almost fall like we did on the way there, I drove the van to the front area. I went inside and asked both Matt and Jessie if they they don’t prep the vehicle for a customer and really send customers to go defrost their vehicles alone, and how unprofessional they were. Jessie started to get angry and says well “you don’t have to buy the car if you don’t want”. I laughed and stared I am interested but the way they handled this so far I’d extremely unprofessional and if there is a manager, which he states “he is”, and wouldn’t give me the owner’s information to complain and proceeded to say, “vehicle isn’t for sale anymore, get out!” I laughed in shock and asked told him to eff off, which I started leaving out the door, which he almost follows me and threatens to fight me which I encouraged him to hit me so he can lose his job. He flinched to punch me and I laughed at him literally shaking in anger while his co-worker was trying to have him calm down. Hilariously, tells me and my wife to “get out piece of xxxx Lexus and is out of here”, funny, as we have a 2015 Lexus IS vehicle worth over $25k, far from a xxx. Then tells me he drives a “diesel Mercedes worth $45k” lol... must be nice to drive dealer vehicles home and act cool. He proceeded to makes fun and says derogatory things to me about my “PUMA” branded sweater. Haha! We left in shock at what sad and pathetic people are representing someone else’s company. Very unprofessional and shameful Cincinnati Auto Group! Great sales reps you got here!

Civic Search
Although the primary car I was interested in was in the process of being sold when I arrived, I received great customer service as I looked at another car.

Happy with purchase!
Recently bought a 2011 Toyota Camry and was thrilled with the car and buying experience! Attentive staff who knew how to help me narrow down the selection of cars to what would best fit my needs and budget. Will definitely be back in the future!

Women, don’t go alone!
If you want to be lied to and sexually harassed James is your man! He’ll call you sexy, make you uncomfortable and try to offer you a better deal if you go home with him. Needless to say we left and didn’t even try to get our deposit back!

Excellent service
I couldn’t be happier with my experience. Cincinnati Automotive Group’s staff is friendly, knowledgeable and I did not feel pressured at all. Shopping for a car can often be a stressful event but not with them. I highly recommend CAG !

Bad advertising
We drove two hours to look at a car in “great condition” which turned out to be fair at best and the windshield was cracked in half sitting on dry rotted tires. The car desperately needed washed and after jumping the battery I drove it to put air in the tires and realized I had 1 mile before empty, after putting $16.50 of my money in the car to test drive it we opted for another dealer and they called them in an effort to run me down. I’m not a fan, don’t believe the pics on their site.
