Beware of Inflated and Unreasonable Fees
Fees are ridiculous. Since there is no cap on fees, this dealer goes all out. Looking into an 8 year old used VW. Fees include pre delivery $1300, Electronic Registration Filing $700 and the icing on the cake HGreg Protection Package $800. Total fees of $2800 which are then part of the subtotal and taxable along with the actual car purchase price. And what is the protection package? Dealer said it is 3 years of interior and paint protection. Yes on a new car but on an 8 year old car? Then don’t forget the License charge of $500 which is not taxable. No wonder the car has been advertised for over a month in this sellers market. Maybe have more reasonable fees?
