Dishonest, bait and switch dealer

Avoid this dealership! After being told new car would be ready for pickup on Saturday(this being Thursday), arrived to find vehicle still had tape, door bumpers etc from coming of the truck. Then salesperson comes out and says here’s your payment that includes fabric and paint protection. I ask how much extra does that cost and was told “ oh it’s all in there”. I said if there’s an extra charge on top of sticker price take it off. Now I get a new payment go to finance and ask what the interest is. eFinance says oh I got you 8 %. Meanwhile I have a 844 credit rating and every bank in Pittsburgh is offering at least 6.5%. Then he adds on an extended warranty “It’ll cost the same thing if you refinance at a lower rate somewhere else” After more back and forth the finance guy final tells me the warranty is $3000. Completely dishonest, bait and switch,up charge without telling you totally horrible dealer.

I had such a great experience Jessica Walter guided me with such ease through the process and she never pressured me she let me think about what car l wanted and in my price range..She knew l had an obligation that l had to take care of and she just checked in with me to say Hi never never pressured she knew l would be back when l was ready.

BEWARE OF INCOMPETENT SERVICE DEPARTMENT

I recently took my Kia Sportage with only 50k miles to get an inspection and new tires put on. I figured a Kia dealership would know how to do that and would do a good job - I was totally wrong. After a bill of $2,000 because they found "a lot of things wrong with it" my car completely shut down. Would not start. I had to get it towed to the dealership for them to find "nothing wrong" with the vehicle but still charge me $100 for "checking it out". THEN I took it for an oil change, because apparently when my vehicle got serviced by Kia, including getting an oil change, they didn't top it off high enough because my oil light came on - the other dealership that I took it to said, and I quote, "don't ever take it to the place you got your oil change last. They completely stripped your bolt and now you're going to need a new oil pan". SO after $2,100 worth of work, my car is in worse condition than when I brought it in. BEWARE. THIS PLACE IS TRASH.

Buyer Beware

Buying a car from Jim Shorkey Kia in Wexford Pa was a colossal mistake and… very short lived!!!!!. Here is the horrible TRUTH of the deal: My son is home on a weekend pass (arrived home late Thursday evening and leaves early tomorrow, Sunday, morning to drive back) from the Army and looking to purchase a new vehicle while home. Happened upon Jim Shorkey Kia due to a new Kia Stinger and a 2020 Mercedes AMG G43 that they had listed on their website. The Stinger was no longer available so my son and I test drove with Jesse Annis (we explained the time constraints which he understood, seeing that he is an Army Veteran himself) then purchased the Mercedes and added the seven year 100,000 mile warranty along with the interior/exterior Luxcare LT and a promise of new tires (dealers expense as the current tires were bald). Made the purchase yesterday and picked it up today. When we realized the tires were still bald and the Luxcare was not completed we returned to the dealer to explore our options. Upon return, Jesse was not at his desk so we began speaking with one of the Sales Managers, Chris Tarwacki, he seemed to be trying to help us and even the Finance Manager, Shak, was saying “how can we make this right?” then Daniel James inserts himself into the conversation and very rudely states “ how do you know the Luxcare wasn’t completed?!” Like we’re gonna drop a $36,090 deposit on a $54,000 car and LIE about anything!!! Get outta here with your rudeness!! Even though his remark didn’t warrant a response I explained that I’ve purchased other vehicles with Luxcare and know what to EXPECT. SO back to Shak and to answer his question. We simply asked for a refund of the Luxcare and a credit perhaps for four new tires, solely due to the fact that my son has to report back to his duty station tomorrow. Like a tornado and without any personal introduction of himself, Tim Ferraro, General Manager, (would’ve thought he owned the place had I not looked him up on the internet) comes to the sales manager desk area and says “cancel the deal and give them their money back we’ve had this car less than 24hours and have had several hits on it and if they don’t want it ( WE never stated we didn’t WANT it) we will sale it to someone else!” and repeated that statement more than once. xxxx straight you will because in your mind that is OBVIOUSLY the ONLY SOLUTION to this situation. He finally admitted that the tires were “ordered “ but wouldn’t be here until Monday (now I want to remind you that we were given the keys and told that we had four new tires and the Luxcare was completed, so this is definitely NEWS to us) and made the assumption that we were lying about my son leaving to go back to NC tomorrow, saying so you HAVE to go back tomorrow?! Tim must have zero respect for our military and doesn’t have a clue as to what a “WEEKEND PASS” means. Honestly, (having been the first and, unfortunately the last) time we’ve ever been in this dealership all we were looking to do was get what we PAID for and what was promised to us at time of sale. Since we didn’t we were merely asking for a refund of the Luxcare and perhaps a credit for four new tires because my son leaves to go back T-O-M-M-O-R-R-O-W!!! Tim Ferraro made it VERY CLEAR that was not an option. The ONLY REMEDY HE HAD for US was to CANCEL THE DEAL!! Tim Ferraro, for future reference EDUCATE yourself on the situation at hand before storming in like you own the xxxx place and canceling a deal when it otherwise could have been a good deal; your lack of respect for us says everything about YOUR CHARACTER and what kind of person you are!! Not once did anyone say at time of sale “this vehicle has only been here for 24 hours and since you have limited time we cannot offer these things to you!” NOT ONCE!!! By the way, Tim, while I’m thankful for you showing your ignorance and saving my son from this transaction. I want to make one thing abundantly clear it is NEVER OK TO DISRESPECT MY SON!!!

The perfect bait and switch!

The perfect bait and switch!! A Shorkey salesman, Steven, gave me three quotes for different KIA Sportages. I told him three times I was paying cash. He said there's a $995 adder above the MSRP. I said OK! They got a car I wanted and called me. I went to dealership to only find out that it wasn't $995 above MSRP, but now, only a few days later, it was $1,495. So they switched MSRP adder prices by $500 and claimed a communications error. No kidding......they thought I was financing or else that I wouldn't catch this slight because I'm old. I walked out dismayed at the ripoff. The next day a manager, Chris, called to say they'll honor the MSRP $995 adder and all he needed was a $500 deposit to hold the car I wanted. The manager then got the original salesman to call me back. The salesman, in a sarcastic tone, tells me "too bad", the car supposedly mine, actually sold the previous day, but he'll' take my $500 credit card as money down for a new order on another car which will take 3 to 4 months to arrive. I then called Chris the manager back . He professed ignorance that the car held for me was already gone. So I professed to tell my story about this fiasco. Wow! No way to treat a senior citizen!! Well, now I found out that Cochran KIA doesn't need $500 down money to order a car, plus there is no $995/$1,495 adder/ adjustment charge above MSRP. Easy to guess where I'm shopping now!

Jim Shorkey Kia for the WIN!!!

Everyone was super nice and accommodating from the front desk to management. They have called me multiple times since I purchased my vehicle last month to make sure everything was going good. Absolutely the best dealership I could have chosen to purchase from!

Horrible service department!

Service department is absolutely horrible. The service writer failed to take accurate notes on my vehicles problem, failed to look up a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) for exactly what was wrong with my cad, lied repeatedly after I called them out on it, lied about my brake pad thickness to get a sale, and then still charged me a diagnostic fee even though there was a detailed TSB on that exact problem that I described to the previously! They are the reason people don’t trust mechanics!
